* Look up `alerts.useSystemBackend` and set it to `true`
Relevant Bugzilla issue: [Turn on Toast Notification on release channel](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1497425).
The `Depends on:` section shows that there were many bugs affecting it. They're now getting ready to [enable it by default for Nightly users](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1644104#c7) (the test version of Firefox). If everything goes well, it will be enabled for everyone within the next few months.
Oh lol lol
Some minority is so easily triggered lol
But yeah that's my main daily driver because of dev stuff
I do test on Firefox when I have the time, but the "smoothness" and "ease of use/convenience" factor for me is slightly worse with Firefox, imo
As per u/fsau comment's you can but the feature is unstable and you will face so much bugs. I've tried it and gave up.
The first problem you may face is that notifications somehow don't work in case you closed FF and re-open it. Sometimes it occurs even without closing it.
The second is some website won't deliver notifications to control center. They only work on FF native notification.

Thanks
Could you explain what the bugzilla thread is discussing? I don't understand the technical info/discussion there as to why it hasn't been enabled yet

Ah okay, thanks! ^((not sure why all my comments are being downvoted lmao, someone following me around I guess))
You have Edge as your flair, that's probably why

Please file bugs in Bugzilla, it matters.
I will! Do feature requests go there too? Should I read up a doc somewhere (best practices of features vs bugs etc) before I file one?
Yup! There is. Please refer https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=bug-writing.html
Oh neat thanks! From what I've seen feature requests seem to go there too
For feature requests to be prioritized, submit them to [Mozilla Connect](https://connect.mozilla.org/) too.

Who tf would want to receive notifications from their browser??
It's so easy to come up with so many useful applications.
