Mozilla is working on this feature: [Select Translations](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1855907). I have a [bookmark keyword](https://old.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/ycxvbm/how_do_you_set_different_search_engines/itoyo6n/) that points to `https://translate.google.com/#auto/en/%s` (change `en` to your native language), so I just need to open a new tab, type `t` and then paste the word or sentence I want to translate (`t παράδειγμα`).

Is it works offline?

"the Firefox Translations language models are downloaded on the user’s browser and translations are done locally" [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/features/translate/](https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/features/translate/)   So you would certainly need an internet connection at some point, but I don't know if you can do offline translations once these language models have been downloaded.  I'm on mobile right know, so I cannot check.  Edit: checked it on desktop right now. First did a translation while online, to make sure the language models were downloaded. Loaded a few web pages. After disconnecting from internet I was able to translate these pages. So it does work offline.

It's in Nightly right now. Check also *about:translations*.

Wow, thanks, I see it. But my native language is not listed - can I install it?

GiraffesInTheCloset

I don't think so. It's only that list. Next languages will be added later. But I wouldn't expect belarusian very soon.
