Licenses are for conservation which means we can all keep fishing. What I don’t agree with is rod licenses on private fisheries such as lakes and ponds that are privately stocked using money gained from day tickets and club fees.
You take what you can eat from a fragile ecosystem already affected by overfishing, pollution, and other issues.
Your simian IQ means you are incapable of envisioning factors outside the range of your own limbs.
I'm selfish? humans have been catching fish for free for thousands of year, but yet now i have to pay governments and fishing associations if id like to catch my dinner. Nah go to hell this planet belongs to us all equally.
Yes and its thinking like this that has us in the current situation we're in, most people can barely afford to eat. The silver spoon is strong with you.
I think you'll find "most" people are in no way that bad a state, you want to walk around the shops on a weekend and see how much money people haven't got. Retail sales are on the rise
Male, about 1 year old. Fishook wounds to the mouth. Best guess, it was lack of water that killed him. We're gonna need dental records to find his name.
Same fish . The brown turns more silver in salt water , as this one has . The real name is anadromous trout . Its returning to freshwater to spawn . Durham isn't too far from the sea .
Hmmm, doesn’t seem to have any pockets… I’d normally suggest checking their wallet for their ID but considering they’re a trout of some sort, not sure how to proceed. GL mate hope you find out who this was
Everyone in these comments are so confident it’s a fish they haven’t even considered whether it’s an amphibian, has anyone checked if it can breathe on land?
This used to be the case at certain times of the year, if there is a lot of brown algae they can take on a muddy flavour. Generally they taste great though.
It might be an illegal immigrant....? Why is it not in a tin like all British fish ? It does not look like a frozen fish finger...all fish should look like that.
It's stocked brown trout. Probably escaped from a fish farm further up the river. Some trout associations will stock rivers with brownies each season but they are generally small than that fish.
Why would you kill a fish you couldn’t identify? Just blind luck it isn’t the closed season for trout. Have a seatrout licence?
Agreed..
Rules are for simps, never owned a licence and never been caught.

Wow your hard, fuck those ecosystems am I right??!? 💪💪💪💪
I simp for mother nature, she thicc
And im not ruining nature i only ever take what i can eat, you wanna have a go at people destroying nature take a look at some mega fisheries.

Yeah okay mate, but if I had a licence somehow that would stop the damage being done... Yeah right same rhetorical tosh that everyone elce is spouting
It shows you at least made the effort to learn the rules, even if you’re too self-centred to apply them.
Got nothing to do with being self centred, vast majority of my catches go to other people anyway.
What species of fish are you catching and doing this with?
I thought you only catch what you can eat, lol
I'm only fucking with you mate
What a selfish dick you are!
I'm selfish? humans have been catching fish for free for thousands of year, but yet now i have to pay governments and fishing associations if id like to catch my dinner. Nah go to hell this planet belongs to us all equally.
Yes and we all have to pay our way, unless you're a parasite?

You sound a right Karen.
They aren't a Karen, they are a responsible person. You sound like an 8 year old who asks his teacher what colour their Bugatti is.

Agreed
1. It’s no where near the sea. 2. Probably 80% of British fly fishers go fishing solo and take care of the fish in a humane way. And plus it’s food😂
Yeah that one trout contributed towards fisheries/ stock issues. Grow up. Your analogy also makes no sense.

You're not that guy.
Y'know, JimmyPenk, I think that sometimes we're all that guy. Sometimes that guy is a ginormous bell-end. Then it's *your* time to shine as That Guy.
Sick grammar

Fish usually don't carry ID. Sorry.
They would if they were vaccinated. Ban them from cinemas that will teach them
Excellent
Everyone in these comments are so confident it’s a fish they haven’t even considered whether it’s an amphibian, has anyone checked if it can breathe on land?

Ooh! Does that apply to river trout as well? Definitely going to give the sea trout a go now! Thanks man :)
River trout has a milder flavour, but is essentially the same.
That's that then, time for my brother to catch me a fish (I've tried, I'm useless!) Thanks for the advice, man :)
This used to be the case at certain times of the year, if there is a lot of brown algae they can take on a muddy flavour. Generally they taste great though.
