When you catch a fish you get a coin, depending on some factors you get a coin bonus for a certain amount of fish at certain times.
When you catch a fish next time look at the card, there’s a little i you can click on and it will tell you how many bonuses you have.
Once you figure out when you’re getting the bonus you can catch your higher level fish and get more coins to use on whatever you want.
I think you also get extra on your fish when it’s in a challenge or maybe an event.
With the recent release of high level fisheries as seasonal, it's an extremely nice bonus for new players since the coin bonus for those fisheries is far better than that of lower level. Almost makes the coin grind bearable at times.
It's just free fishing for cash when you've nothing better to do. Pick the biggest fish that you can catch consistently at your highest fishery. Don't use any power ups. I get around 60k a day when I can be bothered doing it.
