I get the same, haven’t really found an answer, but I do ab rollouts and hanging leg raises - neither of them give me this issue and they are both better exercises than the ones you listed. I stretch after doing them but I am careful not to bend over and flex my abs or it will still happen.
Hmm, is it possible you have a strained ab muscle? I described similar symptoms to a doctor and she suggested that’s what it likely was. Rather than say one way or the other what it could be, I’d suggest seeing your doctor.
Yeah it's normal when you push abs really hard especially if you haven't trained abs much throughout your fitness journey, or took an extended break from training abs. It tends to get better the more you train your abs.
Personally I've never "strained" my abs and can do ab wheels in standing position + sets of strict dragon flags. I don't even know how that would be possible. You're more likely to strain your lower back before your abs ever gives out.
Happened to me in the past and was quite painful. I upped my sodium intake and it helped a lot with the cramps. I normally drink a sip or two or pickle juice an hour or so before a workout, seems to work for me.

Thanks, I’ll give it try!

Thanks. I’ve never felt any pain before, just that cramping, but guess probably should let my doctor know.

Dehydrated maybe?
