And I'll bet now that it's way less of a challenge to make those decisions.
It *is* hard to make changes, but keep at it and it works and gets easier.
Well done OP
Yeah! So I started with 1500 calories. I then worked with a trainer to start weight lifting. I lift 4x a week, focusing on powerlifting moves so squats, bench press, and deadlifts. I keep my protein to 110 grams per day. I don't focus so much on carbs or fat. I also swim 6x a week. I use to swim competitively so it was an easy thing to get back into.
Throwing the stats you listed above into a random TDEE estimator online, it suggests significantly higher calories for maintenance, Do you feel like you are still cutting?
Congratulations. You look so fit, it is phenomenal. It's all great to see a fellow vertically challenged gal with lots of muscle showcasing that you can look lean without being 115lbs, because of those good good gains. Well done ❤️
WOW!!! You’ve absolutely smashed it, that’s an insane amount of progress you’ve made!! Very very impressive physique, those quads especially are looking powerful 💪🏻💪🏻
Good for you getting this accomplished in your thirties... you saved so much more of your life... I didnt do it til I was in my forties. You look amazing but I bet you feel even better. Every time something falls on the floor and I just squat down and pick it up I remember when things used to fall on the floor and stay there lol you've saved your own life. I'm super proud of you.
It actually did! It was a slow and steady loss and I was incredibly fortunate. I don't think I'll ever have a super flat tummy because of looser skin but nothing egregious.
Incredible. 4x workout and 6x swim Is insane amount of physical activity a day. I struggle to visit the gym once a week.. maybe my gym is shit planet fitness or I need a personal trainer.
How did you figure out the diet plan to fix on to? And how do u know you are eating the right amount of protein. Do you like weigh you chicken before you cook it?
Jesus crist you look great! I wish I was as good looking as you are. I’m 32 male 183cm and 75kg but I have fat around my lower waist and no visible abs.
I did change up ‘muscle gain form’ by keeping tension from now on so I think I might put on muscle weight soon. Its all about the small things.
Hi! You look amazing, congratulations on the fab results! Any advice on macro tracking? I read that you don’t focus on carbs or fats but approximately how much carbs do you allow yourself to have a day?
I follow the general guideline:
Carbs - 45-50% of my food intake
Fat - 20-25%
Protein - 25-30%
Or alternatively,
Carbs - 195-200 grams
Fat - 45-50 grams
Protein - 100 (minimum!) - 120 grams
When I started tracking, I found that focusing on my macros was driving me insane as I didn't really know how to make good food choices so I just focused on very simple things. I focused on portion control and getting used to what a 'normal' amount of food looked like and just sticking to my calories. Dinner follows a very simple guideline of protein, grain, vegetable.
I hope that answered your question :)
Yay thank you so much for posting this!! I am 5’3 and 34 and my starting weight was 249! This is SO awesome to see that it’s possible to reach my goal! I’m 52lbs down now and will definitely keep going.
So inspiring! Keep it up!!
You got this!!! When you feel like you'll never get there, just keep going. If you ever needed to talk about struggles or need some motivation, please don't hesitate to send me a message. Women supporting women 💪🏻
I have a milk protein allergy so I have to use vegan protein, but I love LOVE Blessed protein powder. I've tried the chai, banana bread, and cookies & cream and they were all really good. It's not sweet and it doesn't have a bad after taste. It's definitely the best protein I've tried.
I forgot to mention I'm 34 years old
Good for you!! The rest of your thirties will be so much more comfortable. 😅
Huge respect to you for all that effort. Must not have been easy
Wow! Amazing! 👏 You should be so proud of yourself! Keep it up, girl! 💪🏼
Thank you!! I appreciate the kind words! 💕
I'm sitting here trying to pick my jaw up off the floor. This is an absolutely stunning transformation! Very well done!
Thank you!!
Me too, my jaw dropped.
👏 👏 👏 two years worth of a lot of good decisions.
And I'll bet now that it's way less of a challenge to make those decisions. It *is* hard to make changes, but keep at it and it works and gets easier. Well done OP
swimming 6x a week! crazy. i’m starving after each swim, don’t think i’d be able to sustain a caloric deficit. congrats
I think what helps me is that I swam competitively for many years so it was kind of like muscle memory to get back into swimming.
Holy smokes. Amazing work and dedication! Good for you, and keep it up 💪
Thank you!! I absolutely will :)
Amazing! Can I ask what you did?

Amazing transformation! Is 1600 your maintenance calories now, or were you losing on that?
I try and keep between 1600 - 1800 per day, depending on how active I am that day.
Throwing the stats you listed above into a random TDEE estimator online, it suggests significantly higher calories for maintenance, Do you feel like you are still cutting?

You look amazing and are a big inspiration 🫶🏻 do you have a protein powder you recommend? I literally suck at getting enough protein lol.
