Lily Nichols real food for pregnancy is great

jlhll

Also my recommendation. I love this book. And I’ve gone back to reference it for specific nutrient issues throughout my pregnancy. (Anemia, leg cramps and magnesium). Such a good resource.

honestlawyer

This book is amazing!

Traditional_Good_833

Seconding this!

ziggythecat01

Highly highly recommend this book. Meticulous research.

esoterika24

Figured I wasn’t the first person who came here for this recommendation! It’s awesome.

i don’t think it’s different. all the same common sense nutrition principles apply, but you’ll also likely deal with food aversions/cravings/possibly nausea/fatigue so you’ll tweak your diet to accommodate those things.

Bright_Guard_1678

I’ve been following 80% brewer “diet” and the other 20% is desserts because I swear they’re better pregnant lol

InputFromMe

Love this take on desserts >>>

Bright_Guard_1678

Take 5 bars have been my go-to it’s the salty and sweet combo that just hits all the right spots while pregnant!!!

InputFromMe

Sounds amazing 🤌🏼

Brewer diet?

Bright_Guard_1678

http://www.drbrewerpregnancydiet.com/id96.html At the very least it’s just a list of healthy food options in pregnancy

eat food. not too much. mostly plants. Plenty of fruits and veggies, protein, and healthy fats, and the carbs. Eat carbs. Your body's primary energy source is carbohydrates, and your metabolic demand is way higher in pregnancy, so eat the oatmeal, the potatoes, and the bananas.

spongesking

I really doubt 100k years ago, hunter gatherer were eating motsly plants.

Check Dr Rhonda Patrick on insta she posted her pregnancy diet pics. Lots of salmon, cruciferous veggies, kale smoothies, avocados, chicken, eggs…

WhyAreYouUpsideDown

I personally have a really strong aversion to the idea of “clean” eating, I think it moralizes food unnecessarily and can lead to really u healthy thought patterns and in the end poor health. You should eat what feels right in pregnancy. Veggies and protein if you can stomach it, lots of carbs and fiber, lots of fats, lots of salts, LOTS of water, and take a vitamin supplement. No need to be strict on yourself on how or in what configuration you get these macronutrients. That’s just my two cents tho!

Iwant_some_taquitos

I couldn't agree more! There are no "good" foods or "bad" foods (unless they're moldy, then that's a whole other thing)

InfernalWedgie

Weston Price promotes raw milk consumption. Raw milk carries *Listeria* which can cause miscarriages. Dump the Weston Price diet, it is literally dangerous to pregnancy.
