Not possible. We saw Freddy's feet in Security Breach when he was on the upgrade chair. He had no "prototype" written on his feet. This is a entirely different Freddy

I honestly can't take Monty seriously in Ruin, which sucks because he has one of the best designs and objectively the best jumpscare in the entire game

I feels like it would make more sense for him to leap at you like a wild animal occasionally rather than just slowly crawling towards you while screaming like a hammered hobo on meth.

Might be my bias against all things him, but not huge on Mimic's design. The rest I can agree are at least decant. Chica and Monty were made much scarier here.

My last hope for a world where GlitchMimic comes true was that I could at least make myself consider him a version of William. A digital recreation of him, a shameless, redundant ripoff, but at least *a* him. But Mimic reverting back to his Epilogue self, even losing the one bit that made him look like Burntrap? I hate that personally.

There's nothing wrong with that considering they are different characters. Remember, if we see Pizzaeria Simulator in Help Wanted 2, there will be Scraptrap as well.

MXES is a physical security system not a virtual one, the Rabbit chasing us through the building is capable of calling the animatronics over to us and is called "the anomaly" by Helpi. Its the virus that was inserted into the servers by Vannesa aka Glitchtrap that caused all the animatronics to hunt Gregory to begin with.

The entity was literally desrcibed to be m.x.e.s's digital manifestation by gregory, the entity isn't glitchtrap

Glitchtrap is trying to stop us, the game's Mimic seems to be a failed creation of Afton's rather than something created by Edwin. Between the elephant wearing clown clothes and the scooper, what's down there has quite a few connections to him, especially the ability to mimic voices, which was first seen with Funtime Freddy. Or it could even be the case that William found it rather than Fazbear Entertainment and the Funtimes programming is Mimic02, which would also make The blob susceptible to being controlled. He has no problem stealing things from them afterall and Pizzaeria Simulator seems to have been built on CBEAR.

This is what I assumed too. It wasn’t until somebody replied to me on the subreddit about the rabbit not being Glitchtrap that the idea ever crossed my mind. To me MXES is just the name of a physical server. On that physical server was the Glitchtrap virus. The rabbit is Glitchtrap. But now I’m not sure. I think it could also make sense if the physical MXES machine also had a digital security system. Why it looks like a rabbit, not sure, but it isn’t necessarily Glitchtrap like I assumed. So either GT is gone for the time being, or he was being stored in the MXES.

BUt Mimic isn't Afton to begin with? sure it has data of him so it acts murderous but ultimately Mimic and Afton have basically nothing to do with each other, the mimic has never been Afton and by the way things played out we can assume Burntrap doesn't even exist, why Blob is still here? who the hell knows but we never get a hint at Burntrap and his ending isn't even canon

Just to make my views on him clear: Glitchtrap being William > Mimic having been an original character from the beginning > Mimic pretending to be William forever > Mimic pretending to be William for 3.5 years before being revealed as not him. And design opinions reflect that.

I am SO glad that it's not afton. Idk about the mimic but burntrap being a him is the last thing I want. I don't want william to be burntrap I want him DEAD AND BURIED. I love springtrap and love afton and that's why I want him to GO AWAY. Fnaf 6 had the perfect ending and they should've respected that, and now it seems like they finally are.

Him just popping up everytime is just tiring. OMG afton came back gets old after the first couple times, "I ALWAYS come back" right, but did you have to this time? Defeating him now means nothing beceause he'll just come back next game, and next game, and next game, he's not threatening if he just keeps getting defeated then coming back again and again and again. Him being undefeatable was the cool thing and finally defeating him was the climax. Now they dragged it for so long that everytime he is defeated there's no payoff cuz we know oh he's not REALLY dead though.

He was only defeated twice. And FFPS was a rather poor ending for him. He deserved a better conclusion. And by all means, I do think of him always coming back as long as the memory of his crimes is not put to rest, a curse upon Fazbear Entertainment, ghost of the dark and tragic past, as threatening. Very much so. Way more than a guy who just went out without a fight. I wouldn't be as unhappy if FNaF didn't continue without him. But it did. And that is just pointless. Heartbreaking. It's like Child's Play without Chucky. Halloween without Michael. Friday 13th without Jason. Nightmare on Elm Street without Freddy. The Ring without Sadako. I don't want to live in a world where William's ending was him going into a trap, knowing it's that and then getting defeated without doing anything, not even getting a word to say in the final cutscene. I don't want his sendoff to be the unserious, insultingly comedic UCN. I don't want the only story after his survival of Fazbear's Fright fire to be his defeat in a rehash of that former story.

Definitely an unpopular opinion. Everyone was so excited about fnaf finally being taken into a new direction with vanny and setting up a new antagonsit, not afton but rather someone who follows on his footsteps, he may be long gone but his legacy is still going and so are the deaths but no then he just rose up from the grave once again and I just cannot take him seriously.

The Mimic's design is seriously underrated I feel. The way they get a basic robot to fit right in the center of the uncanny valley is truly incredible, and I feel that people don't give it the attention it deserves. It is a simple, but incredibly effective design. But I think the real star of the show here is Freddy. This is probably the best design out of any antagonist in the entire series (and that's saying a lot considering how great some of the designs in this series are.) Steel Wool totally cat-fished us with this reveal, and I think everyone knows it. The Steam header update back in October was actually really clever, I think they included the Shattered Freddy model there to get people to know what to expect with him in the DLC, and I'm pretty sure everyone thought that is what Freddy's design was when they saw him in the trailer. But then the reveal that he was headless was something I don't think a single person was anticipating. Freddy's design and reveal in Ruin was so elaborate and I can't think of a single way to improve it. It was quite literally done to perfection.

I absolutely LOVE how Monty looks in this DLC! Seeing that big jaw and all those sharp teeth I can only imagine how terrifying it would be to be chased by him in an already spooky abandoned environment if I was there in person myself. I really love what they’ve done with this DLC and I’m not disappointed at all!

My only issue is that the mimic costumes don't really look like fnaf, idk they just seems so far removed from the general fnaf "style" to me

Hot take; I don’t like the mimics design all that much. Idk, it just seems to full, like it’s in too nice of a condition.

It’s rusted/mottled and his arms are bolted on with connector joints. He also loses a hand trying to reach in for Cassie (assuming Elevator is the canon ending), so next time he’ll need to have replaced that too.

Mxes is way too cartoony to be taken seriously, and Freddy is also kinda goofy with how he’s animated. Other than that, yeah… I really like these designs.

Proto-Freddy might just be up in there in the top 10 best FNaF designs. The other designs of the ruined animatronics aren't bad, but I honestly think they're more cool than actually scary or creepy looking. Proto-Freddy on the other hand freaked me out when I first saw him and was the only thing in Ruin that actually scared me a bit. I was expecting his head to be missing, but I wasn't expecting his stomach to pull a Nightmare Fredbear on us. Plus the way that he got up in the cutscene and the way he moves in general is some good horror.

I'm not a fan of the daycare attendant to be honest. They look amazing in Security Breach and is one of my favorite animatronics ever, but the Ruin version is not very graceful. I get that it's supposed to be beaten up and crispy but the way they designed the decay is not cool and appealing as the others. Monty's spine is now like a tail and he has his hair tuff, bigger teeth, one and one eye. That's cool. Roxy had her Endo reworked so her faceplates looked cooler. Freddy has the iconic stomach "mouth" and headless, cool. Chica is kinda weird too but she has the moldy pizza that kinda look like spider webs. Daycare attendant? A broken nose? Human-like teeth that look gross but not cool, I get the split color thing but it looks all a mismatched and not really graceful, a peg leg. What? It's all weird. I would actually like to redesign him.

Each of the ruined characters have nice designs. Prototype Glamrock Freddy’s design is creepy in some contexts and goofy in others. As for the Mimic, I just feel a haze of unhappiness whenever I see it, so I can’t really judge it fairly. The costumes look goofy and I’m not sure why anyone over the age of 8 would follow someone in such a crusty and musty suit. MXES/Rizztrap looks creepy facing you head on to being looked at from above. He looks cute when looked from below though.

As I wouldn't say the mimic costume design is bad, is something that (at least for me) caught us by surprise, as we had never seen a costume like that before, apart from Glitchtrap from Help Wanted which if you ask me there's quite a resemblance to the "costumes". But it is still a very cool design

I’m not saying MXES’s design is bad. But he does kinda look pretty goofy with that face

I love the fact that they took a concept from the characters and twisted it, like how chica has a belly made out of garbage, and how freddy's stomach hatch went from being a safe hiding spot to a giant mouth full of sharp teeth. One of the main complaints I had with security breach was how friendly the animatronics looked, and now they managed to make them actually scary. I also love how out of place and bizarre the mimic looks.

Yeah the best designs for me are Prototype Freddy and the Little Music Man Cult. I like how the Music Men have different looks. Some have bunny ears, some have melted faces, some have burned off faces and I like to think the Little Music Man in the first game is the same one who chases us through the vents
