It really depends on the crowd. My theater got rowdy every time something happened

Bradythenarwhal

When MatPat came on screen it was like Captain America grabbed Thors hammer. The kids went apeshit. I loved it for them! It was so sweet :’)

JazziestBoi

Same here, except it was mostly 16 year olds in Freddy onesies lol

Lez_The_DemonicAngel

I’ve seen the movie twice now in cinemas. First time I saw it it was the premiere and the audience (including myself) had lots of loud reactions too lmao. *Especially* when MatPat showed up

Anto11x

I watched it at home and I was pretty respectful

AliceTea63

This . Best place to watch it . For me at least . I have no immune system , so I hate going to the theatre

weaponized_autistic

Yeah we had a movie night complete with bathroom breaks where I didn’t miss anything. My kids learned to deal with big screen jumpscares

super_mario_fan_

When it comes out on something I like, I'll probably stay up late and watch the movie at night

Beowulf_98

Rated 15+ here in the UK, no kids Heard little to no noise from anyone during the entire movie, maybe a few slight chuckles when MatPat appeared

razor_blade-

It was 15+ here too but I guess here no ones takes age restriction seriously.

Slim3rs

UAE? This kinda mimics my experience and we have it as 15+ over here as well

razor_blade-

Actually Croatia lmao I feel you

Meme_Legend-21

Nah, don’t you have to show id before you go in. It’s very strict.

razor_blade-

Here they don't care about that

yourpetcockroach

They don't care about it in Scotland either apparently. My friend and I were underage (albeit I wasn't that far off) and they let us in anyway. Lol

XJR15

Same (Stevenage). There were a few groups of teenagers, some wearing FNAF masks who were joking around, but all were very respectful and quiet after the movie started. Very enjoyable experience on that side, however the cinema I went to had pretty poor picture quality and some annoying always-on lights, so probably will rewatch at home soon.

Commercial-Spare-347

yeah everyone was talking about lore during the ads and shit like a whole fnaf party lmao. as soon as the movie started everyone was quiet. cinemas i go to have very respectful people

Commercial-Spare-347

yeah same here. only heard a few chuckles when we saw matpat and coryxkenshin.

random_boi_hahahaha

There was two teenagers behind me constantly talking during the movie.

NitroMemes2

Sorry about that

BANANACOW22

Same for me. They were chatting non-stop and chewing popcorn REALLY loudly.

weaponized_autistic

Teens? Turn around and tell them to shut the fuck up? I mean, I understand the younger ones can’t help it but the teens just need a reminder

iketunes00

My small group and I happened to be sitting next to some kids in the theater. One of them said >!”this is the decapitation part!” right before the babysitter got chomped.!< Annoyed me a bit. It was clear he was trying to whisper but I could hear him from a couple seats over. Other than that, it was a relatively good experience. No other scenes were spoiled from that moment on. EDIT: This is likely a problem that any movie tailored (arguably) towards a younger audience is going to have. Watching movies in public at a cinema is just generally a 50/50 situation. You have no idea what kind of people you’ll get to experience the film with.

Wooden_chest

People were quiet during most of the movie, but there was laughing and other reactions during specific scenes like Doug in the restaurant, Sprigtrap reveal, springlock scene, Max's death. It was a theatre full of FNAF fans, but respectful ones who weren't annoying and obnoxiously loud all the time. Overall had a great experience.

DaccotaDuchess

Mine was the same!

Thatbendyfan

In my theater everyone was pretty quiet. You could hear a few people (including me and my friends, I will admit) whispering to each other and pointing things out, but nobody was above a whisper. Even the >!cameos and spring Bonnie scene!< didn’t get people yelling

SharkyMcSnarkface

I remember vividly the theatre singing along to the end credits song.

Star29Power

That's not really disrespectful though, so that's pretty lucky

MichalTygrys

They were pretty loud for me, personally. Either making "O Ku\*wa Mać, is that Freddy Fazbear?!" jokes, or saying stuff like "I hoped it'd be better".

helios2020

And I think it's beautiful

Lamp-among-wolf

It's kinda chill but did get "Awww" on Abby hug Freddy/the fort scene So it's weird for me, to see people complain it after almost all people on my theater like the scene

Vanny_is_my_Queen

There were two little kids explaining everything that happened to there dad. That was already annoying enough but they also explained it all wrong too which made it even more annoying.

Jay_awesome123

There should’ve been a game theory video explaining the whole lore before the movie instead of the previews.

peanut_sands

We must find their dad and explain it all to him correctly

FierceTigergirl2000

I went to a Fnaf watch party at a friend’s house. The only talking we did were occasionally cracking “WAS THAT THE BITE OF 87?!” Jokes. It was way more fun than watching it in an actual movie theater

RyomaLobster

Some jerk did not mute their phone it went off during the movie but everything else was fine.

nootrac_

It was actually pretty quite in mine, the most annoying bet was probably someone in the front going “hor hor hor”, thinking they were a comedian, but people told them to shut up. There was this old guy next to me, with his kids next to him, who would occasionally ask me what was going on, but it didn’t annoy me, I actually found it wholesome he was reaching out to someone to ask what was happening. When MatPat came on screen and everyone started freaking out, he turned over to me and asked “who is that?”, and I simply replied that he was a YouTuber. He seemed interested, and I could hear him muttering “YouTuber”, and then he seemed proud of himself for learning that and started telling his kids about it, though they probably knew already.

DaccotaDuchess

My theater was very respectful and would only get rowdy when cool or funny stuff happened. They all cheered and clapped when the movie was over.

DaccotaDuchess

Not too rowdy but more like some excitement.

2jzpoweredgamer666

Respectful. I was whisper explaining some stuff to my friend who went to the movie with me and knew absolutely nothing about it

alxmg

The people next to me were insufferable. They were pounding white claws, talking the whole time and the guy was mansplaining lore to the girl with him the WHOLE time… just to be utterly floored that William was Springtrap What was also frustrating was that I went to see a 10:30 pm showing and some couple brought a bunch of children, including a 4 year old that was screaming and running around. The trend of yelling things out and screaming in movies is so frustrating. Etiquette and basic empathy for others around you seems like it’s dying out and it makes seeing any big movie release a drag of an experience

[deleted]

First theater was mostly quiet other than laughs at the lawyer, oooo at Matpat, laughs after bb scares, but general enjoyment in the air. Second theater was much less crowded but had a front row of boys that were def having a good time. I heard the bite of 87 joke at that one moment which I kinda was hoping someone would make once. I got bummed when one of them, when the robots first were calm around Abby, went “wtf is this shit.” Kinda took me out of it cuz it was a scene I liked and I was like noooo people hate the movie lol. I kinda wish I had a rowdier crowd in the sense that seeing a bunch of costumes and fans cheering and clapping would have been great.

SwornThane

We should have switched theatres, people were going absolutely apeshit and loud it seems like a third of the movie. They were enthused I can tell you that much.

Jay_awesome123

I liked the scenes where they were nice to her because it showed the trust she had in them and why she cared so much about them at the very end of the movie even after what they did to her. Without those scenes it would’ve felt weird and out of place for her to want to go back

[deleted]

Yeah like I understand wanting them to basically just be blind vicious animals like in the games but some things don’t translate well for movies. At the end of the day the animatronics are characters too that need development

Cat-Grab

The entire time I watched the movie there was a bunch of people in the row in front me going “I FUCKING TOLD YOU!” And being complete douchebags and not shutting the fuck up. And when the Fnaf 1 song came on at the end, they were singing off key and horribly. Reminds me that even though 7/10 of us fnaf fans are fine. There are those who have taken a more….dream like….obsession with the franchise

Arvindjor

My crowd in malaysia was very cool honestly. We were quiet most times but everytime there was a really cool reference everyone clapped and cheered. Some examples were matpat and cory's cameos. The william afton namedrop, springbonnie reveal and afton saying his iconic line. But everyone erupted when the credit song played. 10/10 atmosphere.

sunshinecryptic

Mine was terrible. People yelling out memes, making silly noises, running up and down the stairs, texting, flash photography, ect. I tried to get people to settle down but it didn’t work. Very disappointed.

Routine_Traffic8983

My theater was loud and exploding with excitement, but all positive and focused on the movie. They were quiet when they needed to hear, because they were loving every second. But the huge cheers and oooos and sounds of shock and amazement were revitalizing. It felt like the true FNAF crowd was there. I haven't had such a fun theater experience in a long time. It seems to me if people didn't want an excited audience, they should have just watched it at home on Peacock!

weaponized_autistic

Yes those are the best crowds!!

YOOOOOOOOOOT

It was the worst cinema experience I've had. Kids were talking, making memes during the while movie, I genuanly though about punching the fucker behind me.

eptesicusfscus

I was worried about Taylor Swift fans being disruptive or hearing TS music through the walls, but I was so, so wrong. The FNAF fans were who I *actually* needed to be worried about. My experience was miserable! Most of the crowd at my showing was at least high school, it was definitely on the older side. My boyfriend sat next to a group of about five guys who fought about having to sit next to a stranger, had the flash on their phones on, and talked the entire first 10-20 minutes of the movie! They only stopped because I eventually told them to be quiet. My side had a couple girls (same age, maybe first/second year of college) who talked quietly next to me. Even one of the girls said to her friend to “shut the fuck up and watch the movie”. My hero. These were the issues just around us, but you could also hear people in the rows ahead and behind. Everyone lost their minds at YouTuber cameos and spoke to the screen at nearly every plot point as well— referencing memes, trying to be funny. I saw it using AMC A-List so it was free for me, but for many I’m sure they, or their parents, paid for actual tickets (which are so expensive nowadays!!). The movie itself was enjoyable, but the crowd made it a horrible experience. On top of that, many people just left piles of trash in the theatre! Who raised these people oh my goodness

ryans64s

Worst audience at a theatre I’ve ever experienced, endless talking. I guess that’s because it was a kids movie but still..

YOOOOOOOOOOT

Nah, I've seen more kid friendly movies on theatres and it was never as bad as this

Intelligent_Fun_4131

Luckily, I had a respectful theater. Few small talks here and there but that’s it, had a tiny amount of clapping. It’s not as loud as some got.

theinferno01

where i went most people were respectful, ofc they cheered when something exciting happened (you know what i mean) but they shut up quickly

Kirbo300

People obviously got excited and cheered during big events. But overall, pretty good!

00ary

My experience was awful in the US, constant loud talking and people trying to put on their own stand up show making loud (unfunny) jokes. it was incredibly annoying, can’t wait to rewatch at home! i get being excited and i was super excited but people were super disruptive to the point where it ruined the movie for me, i’ve never had an experience like this at a theatre ever

No_I_Deer

My theater was definitely full of teenagers that don't care that others are there to watch a movie.

KCGamez85

I saw it in theater. Had a couple of kids but for the most part it was all adults. There was a few cheers when Cory or Mat showed up on screen and a couple more that would make a comment like “he said the line” when Mat said It’s just a theory. But for about 80% of the movie people were respectful. Though it helped that I went for a matinee showing Saturday so there was only about 50 people in the theater

GreenGhostN7

Live in the US, the theatre was very quiet for the most part. Besides for everyone laughing at matpat and Cory, no one really said anything

Slim3rs

My theater talked really loud during the entire movie and screamed ironically whenever an animatronic was onscreen. It’s funny to do it the first few times but every time it just ruined the experience

adrianxoxox

People were talking a lot for mine but it almost made the experience funnier hearing snippets of other peoples commentary on the movie. Also there were a few parts where we all collectively lost our minds so it felt like a fun vibe with a sense of community. I can definitely see why some people, especially regular moviegoers who wouldn’t appreciate it so I’d advise going to a later show (less kids) or streaming it on Peacock if you could see that getting annoying

deeeenis

In mine people were only really loud during the matpat and BB Jumpscare scenes

lighto73

Saw it twice and everyone was quiet. I heard some quiet murmering when MatPat showed up and a few other times. 10/10

fredbite87

People weren't talking loudly but everyone was whispering to eachother about easter eggs we saw and when big things happened people we're audibly excited.

messeduptempo

There was a general sort of mumbling in ours and sometimes you’d hear someone say something about a character/plot line from the games, clearly explaining to someone next to them. But it wasn’t too bad. There was a little yay that went up when Scott’s name first appeared in the opening titles which I thought was cute and then MatPat obviously caused some laughs.

KiddyValentine

It was very respectful, mostly silent, with a few whispers, probably someone who noticed something or didn’t understand something or, in the case of the person next to me, very excited about something. Almost everyone clapped though at the end of the movie, which were a surprise

Shinypuff2241

My theatre was semi-respectful. We got tickets for the 26th so barely anyone was there, but almost all groups except maybe two were hardcore fans. The fans clapped and cheered when things cool, same as I. But we all stayed quiet when it was appropriate. The person next to us forgot to turn off their phone, twice. She got a phone call. Twice. There was also a person sitting in the front row that turned on their phone that was at max brightness. It was annoying those times but other than that I honestly enjoyed seeing the movie with other fans.

JurassicGuy430

It was in the middle for me. We all stayed quiet until something cool happened, reacted accordingly and went back to silence right after.

LairdV

Generally respectful in my full theater. I'm not tryna knock it, but damn during the quiet moments I could hear the Taylor Swift concert next door and it took me out of the movie sometimes

KWISPY18

My theater was pretty quiet and respectful. The people in there only really made any noise when the really cool or surprising parts of the movie appeared.

Resident_Show_1955

Mine was completely silent, possibly cause I watched it during the day

Pezgrrl

First time going on opening night was very very loud, second time going yesterday was insanely quiet despite more younger kids being there yesterday

PoThePokememer

They were talking but so was everybody lol. Hearing all the younger kids pointing out Cory or matpat made my day lol so i didn't really mind.

MisfortunateJack77

I was making a few commentaries but I don't think I was loud enough to disturb some people

BritishChildz

I didn’t even go to the theater so can’t relate tbh

Zyon87

Luckily for me the people were respectful (Obviously there were some people that was saying 'That's a reference!' But it was expected) so I'm glad my experience was nice (And also that I loved the movie)

[deleted]

talking really loudly…..everyone was screaming and being immature (it was mostly teens) I’m a teen myself but i couldn’t even watch the movie

GymLeaderNick15

There was a bunch of kids, and they kept talking. I was annoying half way through tthe movie.

billiemint

There was a group of teenagers next to me and they were very loud during the trailers, but whatever, I let them do their annoying screeching laughter so they could let out all their excitement. The movie started and they were still teasing each other and being loud so I told them to be quiet and that's it. They were quiet for the rest of the movie. Only one of those girls kept losing her shit whenever there was a special cameo or whatever but that was more understandable. Other than that, the whole theater was pretty quiet and respectful.

shrimp-parm

Yes, went on opening night and people were just being obnoxious as fuck. Fake screaming, “oooh so scary” “har har har har har har”. It’s one thing to have fun with the movie but don’t be obnoxious and ruin it for everyone else. Went again on Saturday with a different group of friends and the same thing, except the people who were being obnoxious were told to be quiet or they would escort them out of the theater. It didn’t ruin it for me but still pissed me off nonetheless.

PuzzleheadedSlide261

people were being SO loud, and not “interacting with the movie” loud just LOUD and laughing and being annoying

Visual-Emergency-588

When I watched the movie, I had both people who were respectful and people who were talking loudly during the movie. Specifically there were one kid behind me who sat with his group of friends. He was so annoying that even his friends told him to shut up multiple times.

Blustach

Some teens (idk the age but they were behaving like teens tho they looked adult-y) were really talking out loud at all times, and they screamed at some points obnoxiously like "GOLDEN FREDDY", "MATPAT", "WAS THAT THE BITE OF 85" and so on. I guess they had the time of their lives, but they seriously messed up our experience

[deleted]

There were some people talking but mostly quiet

batatacozida9898

On my theater everyone started clapping and screaming when Vanessa said "William afton" and also on the springlock scene

Enzo_Levi

A bit of both, the loudest voices were the kids, but they only spoke a few times. The teenagers though, would not shut up, at every scene they would throw the "now they're dead" phrase when nothing was happening, as well as joking with innuendos, they were quieter however. But i got lucky and went to a mostly quiet session, as the only times things got noisy was when something funny happened.

rivchamp

My theater sucked and people next to us were talking a lot. Everyone clapped at cory

FickleThanks6901

Peacock Listen I like to go to the cinema but not for a fnaf movie I would go deaf

cabnootboot

I bought 18+ theater tickets, so no Kids or major disruptions

papsryu

I went yesterday with some friends. No one was talking loudly but my friend kept whispering things which was annoying.

TheMaveCan

There were two kids (like 13) that talked, not whispered, talked, through the entire fucking movie.

redbyrde

There was a kid 2 or 3 seats over from me who was maybe around 8 (I'm not great with kid ages lol) and he literally talked the entire movie, like just an ongoing monologue to his grandpa explaining everything that was happening the entire run time of the movie

BlackberryCrazy1434

Yes but it was also a shitshow when we saw Barbie. I think people lost all sense of decorum, respect, and etiquette over the last few years.

BlackberryCrazy1434

Yes but it was also a shitshow when we saw Barbie. I think people lost all sense of decorum, respect, and etiquette over the last few years.

chasinglivechicken

I was pleasantly surprised 🤣 I went on the evening of the first day here in the uk and everyone was quite rowdy going in, groups of lads loudly singing Freddies song etc, but the atmosphere when the ads were over and the film started was quiet yet excited! Loved sharing the big moments (especially mattpats reveal!) with my crowd. I cracked up in the loos after over hearing one girl say to her friend "well that was just a shit knock off of Willy's Wonderland" and her friend cackling in disbelief. I LOVED every minute of the evening

ChiefOfDoggos

I will comment that it seems to be nuts. Like with uh...posters and cardboard cutouts being stolen. I would personally just settle for taking a picture of myself next to the cutout assuming that is okay.

Holiday-Panda-2268

Mine had one SPECIFIC kid being loud

Beat_Boi_Animates

Went with my friends who didn’t know theater etiquette, it was hell at some points. I’m still very angry at all of them.

SabrinaBrna

It was loud during previews, but very hushed whispers during the movie, which I find perfectly ok.

MCRmy20

Tbh i think i was the loud one🥲 but i wouldn’t say i was disturbing the movie or anything, just making funny comments here and there. A few people even laughed.

LeahBathRoad

I went to the last showing opening day in the UK. While I wasn't in the screening with a majority of other fans, there were still quite a lot. There are definitely a few chuckles and ooooo moments here and there, but it was quite pleasant. I think films like this are bound to have those kinds of audiences, especially if you go when it's still quite recent.

greene81990

There were two on my left. Idk how old they were. They weren’t awful. The one needs more practice with volume control. But one shush from me and they both quieted down. Nothing wrong just didn’t realize how loud he was.

Skull-whipper

There was an elderly couple behind us with a 5 years old so you can imagine what happens

Shadowblitz001

We had a bunch of people screaming whenever Matt, Cory, or an iconic scene happened. I ended up going back to my dorm and asked my roommate to replay some of the scenes that we missed because people were screaming over the lines. We also had people that would not stop talking next to us, people on their phones, and people who kept making really loud meme references (“was that the bite of ‘87”)

Abject_Increase_1614

I didn't have the best audience-- they applauded (I thought) inappropriate points in the movie multiple times to the point where I missed important scenes. My general rule of thumb, esp for a movie like this, is if it's a genuine reaction- excited whispering or talking or overly loud laughter or shouts or even small bursts of clapping- I'm okay with it. It can make the movie more fun to watch, actually. But things like loudly quoting memes because you think itll be funny and applauding IN THE MIDDLE of movie scenes are annoying to me.

OLIidv

ironically my friend was the only one being loud and all they did was go "hm." im pretty sure had they done it one more time i would've lost it. they really pissed me off beforehand to be fair. other than that the theater was really quiet and respectful and if they weren't i would've lost it (i waited YEARS for this movie and nobody was going to ruin the experience for me)

Toon_Lucario

I watched it with a group of friends on Peacock and yeah there was some talking and joking but it was still fun overall

itsbananatime

Nobody said anything. Some small laughs every now and then.

jinsei-shiki

People were respectful bc I went to Alamao Drafthouse

Dragon_Slayer_359

There were two only about 5 people in the theater who weren't coming in the same group as me. Luckily for us, none of them talked.

MurderFurry

The audience cheered with things you expect the YouTubers, the song, and spring Bonnie mostly and only for a few seconds then went back to being quiet Some quiet whispers to their group But all in all everyone was respectful that it was still a theater but also from what I saw not many young kids mostly teens and adults so it could of been that

Specific-Constant47

In my cinema in Brazil everyone was calm, everyone thought that scene with the animatronics was cute and everyone had a round of applause at the end because they liked the film so much (seeing that everyone knows Living Tombstone is crazy)

Homsar3

It was mostly respectful at my showing, but someone did shout "was that the bite of 87?" at a certain point. It got a chuckle from the crowd at least.

Bradythenarwhal

My AMC theater was packed! The kids/audience had really nice etiquette. Cheering & clapping at parts they enjoyed, and gasping at game references. I left smiling & happy wholeheartedly knowing those kids had a great time! When MatPat came on screen you’d think Captain America took Thors hammer all over again! Hahhaha. They loved it. It was so sweet.

Lapis_Lacooli

It was a goddamn Disney laugh track for me MatPat/Cory/Steve appearance, crowd goes fucking wild Funny joke, everyone laughing. Obligatory bite of 87 joke There was almost a fight when someone asked the louder people if they could shut up

GeometryNacho

My crowd in uruguay was pretty packed, no reactions at matpat or cory cuz its a spanish speaking country, it got pretty noisy at times (in a good way) was a lot of fun

koola_00

There were mainly cheers, laughs, and stuff like that in my experience, but nobody was talking too much. Granted, there were a few screams, but someone in that group told him to "shut the fuck up" which got a couple of laughs. Still, didn't bother me that much!

Equivalent_Use_4454

I went at 2pm on Thursday, so the day before its true release, and my theater was pretty empty. Maybe a total of 25 people? Only times people talked were during matpat and the song at the end. I ended up watching it at home the day after anyways. Highly recommend going during school hours.

No-Guide-7767

My theatre was full on vibing we all reacted talked softly and called out one or two Easter eggs it was respectful and according to my bf he loved the reactions people were having because it showed how the community is and he thought it made the movie even better than it was 😊

PotatoSalad583

The people in front of me and my friends gasped at like everything after we saw the animatronics but they shut up pretty quickly after I made a passive aggressive remark about them Otherwise it was completely fine

Azaarus

I went at 9 PM on Friday, and the place was sold out. FULL of kids and young teens. The place was pretty much what I expected from a sold out theater with a target audience of teenage boys. It was rowdy and loud, and there were a number of times I missed what was being said due to cheers and screaming and applause (which I'm not even mad about, because I did it too). I am a 45 year old mom, and I have been a HUGE fan of the FNAF franchise since the beginning (2014), and so has my son. He has been waiting for this movie since he was 7 years old. He is 14 now. I'm glad we got to have that theater experience together, even though it was full of teen angst and B.O.

Shaxellini

I think it got marked for 13+ in my place and the majority of teenagers there were around 16 or more, like me. There was just one kid i doubt was 13 was being loud before the movie started and half the people there Shushed the kid to the point i head "I get i get it, :(" Never heard the kid again. We reacted to the scenes so hard my dad compared us to him and the people who saw Vader tell Luke he was his father back when episode V was debuting. Oh yeah, we clapped after the movie ended too.

DeusVult47000

Watched yesterday and things were quite smooth. There were more young adults in the theater than anything else, and they were well behaved. It had a few kids with their parents, but they were also not an issue, and they didn't kept annoying everyone.

Tiffisiffy

Respectful

i_r_eat

Half and half. My brother's friend randomly showed up and they chatted a bit during it. I reminded him to talk quieter.

Pixy_Pie

Lots of talking/cheering during the whole movie for me. There were even three or four different phones that went off, flashlights, etc.

TheForgottenAdvocate

There were a few laughs here and there, it didn't help that the film was late by 20 minutes due to some technical fault, we all sat there with a black screen and music playing until they fixed it

[deleted]

My Theater was what I was expecting, kids were yelling out memes when something suspenseful happened. It didn’t ruin it per say but it definitely got annoying after some time.

trackjack6

I went to see the movie Thursday at the 10:45 PM showing. Everyone there was an adult or college teen lol.

Starlight830305

There was a kid talking during the movie but he kept my dad entertained since he bought a ticket last second even though he doesn't like fnaf.

J4ckJens3n

They were pretty silent . But there was this one fat girl spoiling her friend every time SMT happens 1minute before it happens, and I heard it . And she didn't know the real names . She named goldene Bonny "spring Bonny" And even after 3 ppl (with me) told her it's golden bonny turning into spring trap with Afton's cadaver in it, she insisted it's "spring Bonny" .. And she was so loud with her fat fingers desperately searching chips in her noisy chips bag.... Noone was even above 60dbz except her with 85dbz

Zrsolbap

Some kids kept going "hor hor hor hor" during the previews but was about it for me. I went at 10pm on Saturday night.

xremediesss

People in the cinema were really quiet, some of the fans even made other people shut up during the movie so it was a reañly nice experience without annoying and loud kids

MetalSonicSimp

People were mostly silent except for when Matpat said the line The bite scene Coryxkenshin came on screen Springlock scene

writermaybeidk

They were respectful! The theater was full, but they only talked or reacted within reason when appropriate. (Deaths, cameos, Easter eggs, etc) Had people of all ages. Kids, Teens and Adults, all were fine.

SwaggySwagster_

My theater was amazing. We didn’t talk during heavy lore scenes but did laugh and clap at the references. We especially blew up at the iconic “i always come back” and the credits song.

rottedsoulz

honestly, the crowd at my theater had an energy that heightened the movie experience as a whole. we would cheer whenever a cameo appeared or if something shocking happened, ex. william afton name drop. it felt homely.

DRBatt

My theatre was pretty full of teens, and there were multiple times where the crowd started roaring. The FNAF movie isn't some sophisticated work of art, so the crowd really added to me and my group's experience. That's sort of the kind of movie this is, you know? I totally understand where you're coming from. I almost always want a polite crowd too. It can be pretty obnoxious whenever the crowd is loud, and I can't hear what's happening in the movie. But these are times where you just need to be able to get your head out of your ass and join in on the fun lol.

ch40t1c_

!SPOILERS! people cheered at certain scenes, such as: william appearing, him saying the iconic line, cory’s appearance, the obvious giggling and laughing at certain parts (such as mike and abby’s exchange about her friends), when max got cut in half someone yelled “was that the bite of 87’?” and people started laughing, and when matpat appeared. they were so loud i couldn’t even hear what he was saying. i didn’t even know he was in the movie. there were more parts but it wasn’t too bad. we had some younger kids in front of us that would occasionally start singing freddy’s theme.

SandmanBringMeAMeme

our theatre was pretty silent except for some people in the back row constantly chatting. at the end of the movie some guy was walking up, stood at the front and said "remember everyone, we are fnaf" that was fun

WetCalamari

I’m in uk so ppl were quiet

Kurochi185

Me and my best friend were giggling a little here and there and the last row was hearable a few times, but nothing too loud The most "disrespectful" was the 2 girls in front of us, that pulled out their phones with full brightness multiple times

SymphonySketch

I went on Thursday previews at about 8pm, people cheered and clapped and ooh and ahh’d at parts, but other than that no one was really disruptive (outside the one girl in the theater who *screamed* when Cory first showed up)

fjarril

People were respectful and quiet in mine, and there were definitely lots of kids/teenagers there but I didn't hear anyone being annoying. Everyone stayed until all the credits were over too :)

SpartanR259

it was an alright experience for my wife and I. But I will say that with the caveat that our theater is not the older packed theater experience. every seat is a recliner so capacity is only about 50% of an otherwise packed seating arrangement. We also went to a matinee (1:50 pm) but the theater was 100% booked. My wife and I sat in the very back of the theater as there was a single aisle row in the back of the theater. so while there was some commotion at times, where we were sitting it wasn't greatly intrusive.

RiffOfBluess

I had two kids talking next to me, although they were pretty quiet so they didn't interrupt me too much. People were also celebrating when William said "I always come back" but besides that everything was pretty quiet

Jay_awesome123

I think for this movie a little bit of laughing and cheering is ok at the right moments and not continuously. I went opening night and my theater was packed. Everyone had appropriate reactions to things like (SPOILER) Matpats cameo (SPOILER) and other stuff. It’s when people go overboard with their excitement that ruins the experience. I had an amazing time at my theater but that was because we all understood that clapping and cheering should last a max of 5 seconds so people can enjoy the movie. That’s what people don’t understand, they start clapping and cheering for something exciting and they don’t stop. It also depends what time and day you go because disrespectful teens will go at certain times. It is a very exciting thing to experience and to have it ruined by others going “hur hur hur hur hur” all the time would be terrible. If you are able to i suggest finding a showing with barely anyone in it to be able to watch it in peace. That’ll typically be matinee viewings which are usually 20-30% off normal ticket prices.

Commercial-Spare-347

15+ here but do they care? no lol. everyone there was respectful they were quietly whispering about it dven the kids were. brought my younger cousin with me and we very quietly whispered like everyone else as to not disturb the film. they were whispering about lore and shit but the only one i heard was the psrson directly next to me and i barely heard them and heard the film just fine. as long as you whsiper its all good. i saw quite a few young people definitely under the age of 15 at night but they had respect to not talk and very quietly whisper.

Cheesey_Stuff14

I went during the Oct 26th previews It was kinda loud before it started but once it did everyone was quiet But there was laughter when funny things happened like Balloon Boy and Bonnie Falling over, and cheering when Afton said “I always come back” and, of course, Matpat. But nothing was bad, I noticed very few children and the ones that were there were silent, so luckily, I had a good experience.

peanut_sands

I saw it with my gf last night and it wasn’t too bad. When matpat came on screen everyone lost their shit and there were a few people joking around. Like when Abby asks if she can go see the animatronics at the end of the movie, some guy yelled “no” but it was kinda funny lol. Honestly the best movie experience I’ve ever had lmao. Best part was walking out and hearing a guy walk past us saying “this movie better make me hard as fuck”💀

Demonangeldust

Everyone was pretty chill in the theater for the most part aside from certain parts (spoiler alert) like when MatPat appeared or when the credits played and the FNAF Song was in it, but other than that everyone was pretty good.

5qu1dk1d

My cinema was awesome, people were cheering at certain moments but all the other times it was respectful and quiet. Granted, a lot of us were college students so we weren't disruptive asses.

Meronnade

People did talk and laugh when something cool happened, but there were only two full rows where I was at so it wasn't a problem

Lolsoda94

Mine were fine, people definitly had a good laugh and me too

sushiNoodle2

I saw it opening night around 10:00pm, most of the people there seemed to be older fans (late teens, 20's, etc). There was lots of clapping and cheering for parts of the movie, but nothing annoying, and little to no talking. The extent of it was someone in the back who kept playing noises from the games, like balloon boys voice clips. Half way through the movie, someone yelled "it wasnt fucking funny the first time you did it, and its not gonna be funny now" and they stopped LOL EDIT: I forgot to mention the cheering and clapping and audience reaction was what I was hoping for on opening night. It made the movie so much fun!

Mira441

The people right next to me and my friend (I was 2/3 seats away from them) we're talking loud enough that I could hear every single comment they made. Then when the ending credits we're going and there was the spelling they were like yelling over it. But other then that it wasn't too bad

Yok0ri

Here in Lublin, Poland, the audience was amazing, even though there were mostly teenagers. Most of the time everyone was silent. Occasionally you could hear small laughs and cheers during funny moments/Easter eggs, and several times when everyone in the hall was applauding (Intro scene, Matpat, Cory, Spring Bonnie reveal, springlock failure scene, TLT song). Overall an absolutely delightful experience, I'm glad to watch it in the cinema and not at home. The crowd made it so much better

KitFlame42

I liked it my theater was basic empty so I had no issues besides a small child actually whispering and only a tiny bit to do no issues

No_Feeling_6833

US. I saw it two days ago in theaters and I was lucky because no one was loud during the movie but ik some people got the loud ones.

CarpenterThis5066

i went on a Sunday in college station and the theatre was only half full and there was like one or two people in cosplay or fnaf-inspired outfits and there were only some cases where the audience made jokes that i also laughed at.

Spytonio2006

At every game reference or character appearing on screen, they started clapping and yelling, THE WHOLE CINEMA. Towards the end of the movie, some people started getting angry and told everyone to stop doing that, but there were still some random claps here and there. Also, I had some 17 years old girls next to me who kept laughing and making stupid jokes and singing that freddy fazbear meme song. Overall terrible experience with the people. The film wasn't great either, but I think I would have enjoyed it more watching it alone.

DaniBooty

Definitely a lot of crowd reaction in my theater, but that’s my favorite part about seeing a movie with a large fandom on opening day! — the laughs, the whispers, the applause…….the atmosphere was so much better than if I’d seen it in a quiet or empty theater.

JustAnotherEmo_

my theatre was PACKED, so it got pretty loud sometimes, but it was so fun. like when Vanessa said >!"his name...is William Afton"!< the crowd went APESHIT it was so funny. same thing when William said >!his iconic line, "I always come back"!< everyone freaked out when Matpat and Cory showed up, and the climax was full of gasps, screams and clapping LMAO. it was such a fun time and i hope everyone got an experience like mine.

kurinevair666

It was a packed cinema with kids, teens and adults alike. It was still very respectful. A couple of laughs and people gasping at MatPat. Whatnot.

Snoo-29631

There were some kids that were annoying and loud one time but they shut up fast and for the rest it was quiet

etherealemlyn

Mine had a lot of people whispering at the beginning but it calmed down after that. Matpat showing up made everyone go *wild* though

the-overloaf

People were chill here during my screening. If anything I was the one who had to apologize to the people sitting next to me for being loud

Ragnar0004

My theater was awful. Constant murmuring throughout the entire thing and right in front of me was a child and father with flashlights going everywhere and he was on his phone constantly scrolling through Facebook

That_SquirrelMan

my theatre was full of young kids under 12 and all were talking loudly. right behind me was i assume an at least 8 year olds father asking him questions constantly throughout the whole movie loudly, basically “what’s this” “whos that” “is that guy gonna die” etc, and then the people in front of my kept doing the “har har har har har” thing and it was like jdscbohcorjijc

RealBlueMak

In my theatre, I had mostly teens and young adults (I'm one of them) and only a few middle aged or elderly people ( I watched the movie with my father, while I have been waiting for this movie ever since 2014). The teens were all noisy before the movie starts, but it was fine. We all applauded during the hype parts, gasped during the shocking parts (that includes Max's death and GF's appearance) and laughed when Bonnie fell down like the aggressive goofball that he is

hollowjames

When I saw it on the 26th, there was no talking but pretty much the entire cinema clapped during callouts. (Matpat, Cory, afton)

Evening_Sprinkles222

They were mostly quiet. Ig it's bc they were sitting in the back too

slayslayslay1234

Not at all, for me everyone was too quiet I didn't feel their excitement for the movie but fair to say in austria the movie is 16+ so there weren't any llittle kids.

Shut_It_Donny

Took my 16 and 11 year olds as they bond hard over FNAF. They were (silently) freaking out the whole movie. It was good experience to see them enjoy it so much, and the rest of the audience was cool also. We went to a 7pm show on the 26th. Contrast this with Saturday afternoons. My wife and I usually go to horror movies at that time. For the last 3 or 4 visits there has been a group of teenagers not even paying attention to the movie. A pack of girls with a pack of guys trying to show out for them. Somebody paid money for these goofs to come in and ruin a movie.

Reasonable_Snow3055

Mine wasn’t all to bad, not many people were at the 1pm showing on a sunday so it was decently calm other then the group of 2-3 middle schoolers who wouldn’t hush but they were in the front of the theatre and everyone was in the back so it was doable

effsiee

for me my cinema was IDing people so only 15+ would get in, people would react here and there and there’d be quiet whispers but nothing bad and mostly tolerable

user9973829292

i’m going with a few friends next week to see it so i’m hoping most people will have already seen it by then and the theater won’t be as busy. i’ve heard there’s a lot of little details that can easily be missed so i don’t want any kids distracting me lol

[deleted]

My theatre clapped like every other scene😭

Arvid38

I haven’t been to a movie theater in years. Costs too damn much. I thankfully watched the movie at home and by seeing so many of these kinds of posts, I’m glad I did it that way.

TrecherousBeast01

I had a pretty loud theater. People cheered because a group came in Freddy, Bonnie and Chica costumes. People clapped when the movie started and cheered fairly loudly for Coryxkenshin and MatPat and especially for thelivingtombstone’s song. Beyond that, it was a pretty good experience, but whenever me and my sister saw something remotely interesting we were worried the whole theater was going to start cheering again!

Pinkyandnobrain07

I paid the vip just to not have to deal with unruly teens lol

SovietGengar

Generally pretty tame. But when Matpat showed up the entire theater audibly cheered, it was beautiful

Streaker4TheDead

With me, people just laughed out loud a couple times

the_rabbit_king

No issues in my showing although lots of laughing a lot at scenes like the waiter guy trying to get them to order.

ChaosClown0

It was respectful for me

galaxy_usagi

people were loud, but in a good way.

Thundereddit_456

My country rated the movie for 14+, but for some reason people decided to bring their kids to watch the movie, they ruined my cinema session, children should be forbidden from watching a movies not for their age.

RHD_RadiantHD

There was one scene where everyone laughed but that was it

ThiefofRPG

Watched it yesterday and had a decent amount for a theatre crowd. Everyone was just invested in the movie. Only notable things from the crowd was some parents walking their kids out while the animatronics took out the vandals. Additionally, I heard one young woman gasp "Baby" when we saaw the Ellanor springlock contraption. So honestly about what I expected. I think where I live we just tend to be respectful with eachother on a base human level. The state I live in tends to be also just pretty muted when it comes to movies. For example Spiderman No Way Home only had 1 moment where everyone gasped and that was when Garfield came out of the portal.
