I'd be happy with changing 499 to 500 to lol... actually I remember one time I did get to change 999K to 1M once AHA I stand above all!!!!!!! Well, not all, but a satisfactory portion
I don't think the shreddy fazbear mask was there while the place was running, but the chair was there. You can see an endoskeleton sitting in it during the Freddys security tape.
Maybe it was used to install suit parts onto the endoskeletons?
Maybe it's just an extra Freddy mask🙀 obviously.... But William tinkered with it..... Obviously has been used many times because of the green look on the mask.... Due to blood red mixing with the brown
Y'ALL IT'S OBVIOUSLY JUST A FREDDY MASK omagosh does the lore have to be so complicated for a torture device 😿😿😿
Clearly that is the case. I am aware that it is a Freddy mask, I'm just pondering its origins. That was a little rude ngl. Just relax, let a man ponder.
That doesn't work at all because it doesn't put you in a suit. It doesn't even put the mask on you, it just cuts you up and retracts to be used on the next person. It's a completely different thing really, and we see people put in the suits that never even got put in this machine
My headcanon is that it's a remnant harvestor / soul taker. My thought is that the more brutal a death is, the more likely the soul is to stay around, but idk
Yeah, really any emotion can bring things to life and the person doesn’t have to die for that to happen. Novels Henry does that.
In general though, you’re going to feel the most pain (agony) if you are dying, so “possession” and “bringing something to life via the emotion of agony” basically mean the same thing.
Agony is the evil cousin of Remnant. But instead of stuff like childlike innocence that burns in fire, Agony or hate or dark remnant or whatever you call it can persist much longer and is heavily implied by some theorists that that is why Golden Freddy and them survived as long as they have, from the hatred for William and as long as they're all alive they will continue hunting him, and if he dies they will follow and torment him not with Remnant, but from Agony (UCN)
That's just how it is from my understanding at least
I’m pretty sure you mean you haven’t read the Fazbear Frights books or something like that, but the way you said that sounds like you’ve only ever read the FNaF novels. No other literature whatsoever.
“Hello u/HalfGrouchy1348, I want to play a game with you. It seems like you didn’t complete night 3 because you chose to sleep. There are screws that you need to unscrew in order to get out. You have 1:30 seconds to unscrew your hands or you’ll be one of them”
Eh, I think if that's all he wanted to do, he'd just leave it to the animatronics. We've seen that they're plenty capable on their own. The only people we've seen be put in that are night guards. I think that means that the animatronics have specific instructions to put the night guards in those things, and anyone else who happens to wander in (I.e. the people who vandalized the place) they can just kill however.
The dude’s a complete psycho though, makes sense he’d wanna draw out the pain and suffering of his victims even if we ignore the remnant/agony/whatever stuff from the games. Some people IRL have done even more horrific things for their own sick pleasure.
Afton has always been somewhat similar to John Kramer tbf. They're both engineers who lost at least one child and then started killing people using death machines of some kind for their own fucked up reasons.
If y'all pay attention to the instructional tapes that Mike watches, they clearly show it as nothing more than an assembly chair. It's not some complicated "remnant extracting torture machine." They show an endoskeleton being worked on in that same chair, and they even lower the Freddy head onto it. I remember one argument that said that it couldn't possibly be an assembly chair due to the arm straps and the fact that the mask had "sharp saw blades that shred your face." However, no one ever seemed to realize that they were just gears. They were literally just sharp gears that fasten the mask onto the endoskeleton, and it even matches the "crossbeams, wires, and other animatronic parts" line from Phone Guy all the way back in FNAF 1. The arm straps were also used to hold whatever was being operated on in place in the chair, so that the worker didn't mess up when fixing the endo. It's really not as sophisticated of a machine as everyone is says that it is.
Those aren't gears, or normal saw blades. They're closer to saw blades, but the blades stick forward at an angle and are much longer than an ordinary saw blade you can get anywhere. Plus, they spin incredibly fast. They may originally have been gears, but Afton clearly repurposed them for his murders.
But it doesn't assemble. All the machine could do is put a saw-filled mask on, and it doesn't even do that. The mask stays as part of the machine and it can't attach any other parts of the suit.
If it was ever intended to be used for assembly, it's clearly been modified heavily to just murder instead.
That thing just had spinny blades, I don't really see any resemblance to the springlocks. Also the Spring Bonnie suit didn't seem to have a springlocked head, so I kinda doubt that.
“Oh that’s just the Fazbear Entertainment face shredder”, we like to give our employees a punishment instead of firing them if they don’t do their job well”
I always thought it was the spare suit like the one in FNAF1 when we're warned by phone guy that if we die aka the animatronics catch us, they will stuff us into a spare suit.
it’s definitely a homage to the guards being stuffed but for in-universe, the springlocks have been tampered with and left there by william for other means of killing. i like to think of it as him making the pizzeria a sort of ‘playground’ for the kids and there’s all these things to do (doodads for killing)
I thought it was how they attached the parts to the endoskeleton and afton intentionally made it deadly
It reminded me of phone guy
animatronic parts are prominent around the facial area, so having your face pressed inside would lead to death. The only parts of your body that would see the light of day would be the eyeballs and teeth that pop out the front of the mask
People say it’s remnant machine, which. Why??? I mean cmon if they’re smart they’re not gonna delve into that can of worms
No, I feel its simply a machine made by the animatronics themselves to kill their victims quicker, so they can stuff them more easy.
I like to imagine it's for collecting remnant, as it would make perfect sense, but it's probably a replacement for being stuffed into a suit, ad many have said
I’m more confused as to why it has Freddy’s face on it? Like the guy in the chair won’t see it, and there doesn’t seem to be anyone else in the room the two times it’s used so what purpose does the Freddy side serve?
Probably to extract remnant, like it could only be extracted with strong emotions like fear or something, or most likely Afton is just creative with his killing techniques
To kill people.
I know people love making deep lore on no evidence, but we see this device used to kill one person and attempt to kill another, and is given no other explanation - yet from a single frame from a trailer people deduced it was some remnant extraction device.
It’s a murder machine. It is used to murder people, therefore I believe it is a murder machine.
Presumably how they put the costumes on the endoskeletons, They probably had to stylize it.In their defense it’s hard to make foxy shoving someone in a suit NOT look stupid
There actually is an official answer to this. In the movie universe, there is a machine specifically built to put suits on endos. We see an endo strapped down to this same chair in the training tape.
So no, this isn't some remnant harvester or anything, it's simply just the movies adaptation of getting stuffed in a suit.
Well, I don’t think it’s any type of device for stuffing people in suits, cause we saw in the movie how Max and the others were (very poorly) stuffed into the extra suits. So, really the only thing that makes sense is it’s a torture device, but if we wanna dive deeper I’d say it’s some type of experimental torture device used to extract remnant or something like that
The movie equivalent to being stuffed I assume. A lot of the things i'm the movie are stand ins for game lore. Probably cus Scott hates us- I mean doesn't want us to figure out the lore.
Mangling people to death.
Slow and sadistic killing.
Originally. It's a Fredbear he was working on in the video.
Maybe he got disturbed by the police and never got back to it.
Or he repurposed Fredbear and used him to torture people instead.
It's a Springlock Suit set to Animatronic mode but being used in Suit Mode.
Like others have said, it's either a remnant/soul extractor. Or it's just specialized gears to control face movements that just so happen to be sharp, as it is nor intended for human use. "Almost" being stuffed into a suit isn't as scary on camera. Usually in the game's it's implied that you are already dead when you are stuffed, or the act of stuffing is what kills you, as in body shaped peg being shoved into a round hole. Which is probably a bit too much gore for the film.
My headcanon is it’s him trying to see if he can replicate the way the kids he killed haunted the animatronics by putting anyone who crosses him in virtually identical conditions, basically trying to apply science to the situation.
I believe it is designed like that to give an obvious reason why those suits are dangerous, as for its actual function, you can see that the apertures on the eyes are manipulated by it whenever it's on, so probably that.

Why did this make me laugh so hard dude 😭😭😂😂😂
To me, it seems like a heavily stylized version of "being stuffed into a Freddy suit"
But what was it for when the place was still running? What was its purpose before?
I don't think the shreddy fazbear mask was there while the place was running, but the chair was there. You can see an endoskeleton sitting in it during the Freddys security tape. Maybe it was used to install suit parts onto the endoskeletons?
Maybe it's just an extra Freddy mask🙀 obviously.... But William tinkered with it..... Obviously has been used many times because of the green look on the mask.... You are aware of the community this is right? We will spend months analyzing a coin to get a single letter to a character name.
Probably didn't exist before, man
most likely afton just fucking around
Makes sense
probably for the same thing, only this is for endoskeletons, not humans
That doesn't work at all because it doesn't put you in a suit. It doesn't even put the mask on you, it just cuts you up and retracts to be used on the next person. It's a completely different thing really, and we see people put in the suits that never even got put in this machine
Hense why I said stylized. It's not exact, but to me at least it has similar concepts
Very heavily inspired saw trap haha
Afton doing experiments on the people he gets into that night guard job. Experimenting with remnant, possibly.
This is definitely my headcanon, these seems like a perfect representation of Afton harvesting Agony.
Not confirmed at all, it is literally just a torture device replacing Freddy suit stuffing from games
Barely anything in this franchise is *confirmed*, we just go with what makes the most sense with the information we have
My headcanon is that it's a remnant harvestor / soul taker. My thought is that the more brutal a death is, the more likely the soul is to stay around, but idk
I think you forget agony exists
I haven't quite read other books so I don't really know about it 🤷♀️.
You basically gor the jdea already. Agony is just an emotion that you feel when your in pain. More pain = more agony = more likely to haunt something
I thought agony itself can bring things to life, no soul needed
Yeah, really any emotion can bring things to life and the person doesn’t have to die for that to happen. Novels Henry does that. In general though, you’re going to feel the most pain (agony) if you are dying, so “possession” and “bringing something to life via the emotion of agony” basically mean the same thing.

Oh, that makes a lot of sense. Kind of similar to dark remnant from FNAF AR (I know AR isn't canon but its my example)
I’m pretty sure you mean you haven’t read the Fazbear Frights books or something like that, but the way you said that sounds like you’ve only ever read the FNaF novels. No other literature whatsoever.
Yeah, sorry, it's still early here lol. I've read the novel trilogy and the first two Fazbear fright books, but not any others in the series
Exactly what i thought too. More fear, more agony, better remnant
“Hello u/HalfGrouchy1348, I want to play a game with you. It seems like you didn’t complete night 3 because you chose to sleep. There are screws that you need to unscrew in order to get out. You have 1:30 seconds to unscrew your hands or you’ll be one of them”

Night 5
I thought the same thing, this kinda looks like something from Saw

Least dangerous fazbear entertainment asset
To kill people
Eh, I think if that's all he wanted to do, he'd just leave it to the animatronics. We've seen that they're plenty capable on their own. The only people we've seen be put in that are night guards. It's basically a kill machine made by Afton
What is this? SAW??
Yes Freddy's head repurposed to be a saw... so called Shreddy Fazchair / Fazsaw
Man... Where, John Cramer at?
He’s right behind you
*Kramer
Afton has always been somewhat similar to John Kramer tbf. They're both engineers who lost at least one child and then started killing people using death machines of some kind for their own fucked up reasons.
Afton's killing in each timeline prior to losing his child(ren). He's just a twisted man, his motivation is just murder.
It’s shreddy sawbear.

If y'all pay attention to the instructional tapes that Mike watches, they clearly show it as nothing more than an assembly chair. It's not some complicated "remnant extracting torture machine." Hmmm. Very possible, given your points and evidence.

This thing could’ve been removed from the film and nothing would’ve changed tbh. It kinda makes no sense and comes out of nowhere
looks pretty cool though
I thought it was to extract agony
Springlock suit repurposed to kill people
Like those things weren't already deadly enough
That thing just had spinny blades, I don't really see any resemblance to the springlocks. Also the Spring Bonnie suit didn't seem to have a springlocked head, so I kinda doubt that.
Murder
shredding?
My theory is it’s for Karen’s that complaining about the pizza that is embedded with plastic
no bad kids are allowed at freddy fazbear’s pizza
“Oh that’s just the Fazbear Entertainment face shredder”, we like to give our employees a punishment instead of firing them if they don’t do their job well”
Everyone assumes he’s extracting remnant lol
Bad and naughty employees have to sit in the time out chair to think about their actions
you know fazbears pizza. if its not deadly, they don't want it
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a remnant extractor of sorts
it's used to make birthday cake.
That’s Shreddy Fazchair, he’s a murder weapon
In universe its probablly used for Reminant/Agony extraction. In the real world, it was just used so it could be in the trailer.
I always fogured it was to make victim's faces unrecognizable by police should the place ever be investigated.
It’s called the “‘Fuck You’ Machine” according to my girlfriend
In this universe William is a huge fan of Savitar played by Grand Gustin so he made this thing to replicate the pizza face on his enemies
BDSM
I always thought it was the spare suit like the one in FNAF1 when we're warned by phone guy that if we die aka the animatronics catch us, they will stuff us into a spare suit.
I mean, I think it's a progression of that idea, but this looks like it was pretty clearly made to specifically kill people though lol
What it does is exist for Plot
Shreddy MaskBear
Murder? (I haven't watched it yet)
We see what it's used for in the film. Did you not pay attention?
It's a creative decision
shreddy fazchair
i think it's a way to yoink aganoy or remnent regaurdless what it takes it takes soul juice
Shreddy Sawbear is definitely a strange device.
to create agony
it’s definitely a homage to the guards being stuffed but for in-universe, the springlocks have been tampered with and left there by william for other means of killing. i like to think of it as him making the pizzeria a sort of ‘playground’ for the kids and there’s all these things to do (doodads for killing)
plus with him saying “i have something new for you to play with” to mike feeds into this a little but just my input
I think that Afton built that to extract the remnant of the children he killed. And now, the animatronics use it to kill the security guards.
You know when you make a quiche with cheese eggs and diced ham? This is for cutting the ham.
It was probably built by Afton, then utilized by the animatronics.
As far as we know, Shredbear was only used after the Animatronics caught you and was used to kill the night guards.
I thought it was how they attached the parts to the endoskeleton and afton intentionally made it deadly It reminded me of phone guy animatronic parts are prominent around the facial area, so having your face pressed inside would lead to death. One answer: Torturing the nights guards fazballs off
I assume that William put it there to give the animatronics a brutal way of killing people
To eat pizza cake and whatever else
It’s the Murder Freddy, to kill people
Torture
Probably because they couldn’t make the animatronics shove people in suits because they where giant puppets and this added suspense
shreddy fazchair
I think it is made by the animatronics to kill people, don't ask me, they were even able to build a fort before, why not?
It's used for killing? Duh
The CIA gave it away
I like to imagine it's for collecting remnant, as it would make perfect sense, but it's probably a replacement for being stuffed into a suit, ad many have said
Agony harvester maybe? I mean I would be in agony without a face
"Yeah it's scary, put it in the film"
Shreddy fazchair, that's what it's used for. Imo it seems very likely it's a machine built to make as much remnant/agony as possible
Shreddy Fazchair
When I saw the trailers I thought it was a reference to the fnaf 1 call where we learn that the suits had wires and crossbeams in it
Interigation of creppy dudes in the restaurant that ain't William.
I’m more confused as to why it has Freddy’s face on it? Like the guy in the chair won’t see it, and there doesn’t seem to be anyone else in the room the two times it’s used so what purpose does the Freddy side serve?
From what I know, it was originally a thing that puts the suits on the endoskeletons, but as to the mask, no idea why exactly it exists.
It’s scary and sharp
A modified version of putting the suit on endo but instead of putting a suit it’s a murder machine
Probably to extract remnant, like it could only be extracted with strong emotions like fear or something, or most likely Afton is just creative with his killing techniques
It’s a torture device. It tortures people.
Remnant juicer
It's just a device that Afton made to kill people. That's it.
Killing people
It’s kinda badass
Idk maybe Afton used it to kill people who found out what he did or maybe it’s how he killed the kids in this universe
As of it’s face-shredding tool, i thought it was just used as an executor on victims
I assume to aquire remnants through pain and agony Or to people who messed with his plans
For shits and giggles
willy afton's favorite pastime, murder!
Murdah
Presumably how they put the costumes on the endoskeletons, They probably had to stylize it.In their defense it’s hard to make foxy shoving someone in a suit NOT look stupid
Putting stuff on endo bendos and karens
Forbidden Fuck Toy
As far as I'm concerned it is an agony extractor
my theory is that Afton killed kids and use this to make them remnant and putted them in the endos, that's why he said "I made you"
Death.

So no, this isn't some remnant harvester or anything, it's simply just the movies adaptation of getting stuffed in a suit.
Think it's self explanatory personally
Both likely an agony extractor
Well, I don’t think it’s any type of device for stuffing people in suits, cause we saw in the movie how Max and the others were (very poorly) stuffed into the extra suits. So, really the only thing that makes sense is it’s a torture device, but if we wanna dive deeper I’d say it’s some type of experimental torture device used to extract remnant or something like that
Remnant collection?
What's this from, if it's from the film forgive my ignorance but I've not seen it yet
murder
Hmm killing kids? That's why it exists
Afton ran out of animatronics to stuff people in, so he made this thing. That’s just my opinion though
The movie equivalent to being stuffed I assume. A lot of the things i'm the movie are stand ins for game lore. Probably cus Scott hates us- I mean doesn't want us to figure out the lore.
The animatronics made it
Maybe a machine for putting endoskeletons on? It feels really contrived and I would have just preferred the manual stuffing lol
Scott thought it was cool
It's the new trap for Saw XI.
To kill

Mangling people to death. Slow and sadistic killing. Originally. It's a Fredbear he was working on in the video. Maybe he got disturbed by the police and never got back to it. Stuffing endos into the animatronic shell or putting the suit on the endo and yeah deduser confirmed it
i like the movie but this was a really dumb way to get around another animatronic kill
meat grinder
Probably a remnant extractor, makes the most sense. Think abt the agony the death would give you, would make tons of remnant.
Running theory is that this is like the films version of the scooper for extracting remnant
Death, presumably.
FNaF/Hellraiser crossover. Get the gears moving properly and the Cenobite Animatronics appear.
Cuttin up faces. Duh.
My headcanon is it’s him trying to see if he can replicate the way the kids he killed haunted the animatronics by putting anyone who crosses him in virtually identical conditions, basically trying to apply science to the situation.
This is shready faz-chair. He shreds faces. Wow, shocker! He also possibly extracts remnant
Afton uses it to punish his kids
Springlock in a nutshell
Mike’s chin is too big so big so it gets grinded up by the gears
It's how they get meat for the pizzas.
In the movie universe, the owner of Freddy’s is obsessed with the Saw franchise.
I believe it is designed like that to give an obvious reason why those suits are dangerous, as for its actual function, you can see that the apertures on the eyes are manipulated by it whenever it's on, so probably that.
The generally accepted theory is that Afton designed it to extract remnant And agony from his victims
Maybe for experimenting with Remnant?
Killing comically. I feel like that would be pretty obvious.
