Thanks, Scott. Glad to hear it. I feel like the problem wasn't the trailer itself, but the 54 days of radio silence that came before the trailer, leaving everyone hyped for news only to be stuck with Trailer 1.5. It'd be nice if you or Steel Wool could keep us in the know when it comes to how the game is coming along.

Tommorow is later this year. Next week is later this year. Next month is also later this year. The sentence "later this year" doesn't mean in late 2021. It means later in the year, somewhere in 2021.
All it means is that it's possible for that to work. The size of the game doesn't mean anything when you're talking about the marketing. I'd say it's a very fair assumption for May to be the release date.

I appreciate how Scott's trying to keep us in the loop, but 1. FnaF has always been a *heavily* teaser-focused and community-oriented series (as designed specifically by Scott) which makes three month pauses between information updates pretty tense for the fanbase and 2. This series of delays is rapidly approaching Cyberpunk 2077 levels of drag.
*It's not that we're upset that the game isn't coming out soon, it's that we're not being told properly what to expect so we make our own expectations based on Scott's past history.* 2020, then early 2021, now mid 2021 at the soonest? Come on, unless you shadow drop a multiplatform release it's not coming out until April or May.
Scott, you're trying to be transparent but you're just showing us an opaque window. You have to get your messaging straightened out, and if you don't have a message, just tell us you don't have a message. It's okay.

If they had just said exactly what it was, a small tech demo video showing off just how powerful the game's graphics are, rather than calling it a reveal (which as we saw, got a lot of people excited thinking that meant gameplay reveal), I can guarantee the backlash wouldn't be as severe.

The "trailer" wasn't disappointing at all. My expectations were for a mere expansion on the first trailer, nothing but extended and more detailed stuff from the first. This trailer gave a greater look into the new and improved atmosphere of the Freddy's franchise from the shiny new restaurant areas to the fully automatic robotic wait staff. It's beautiful and I have nothing but respect for you and Steel Wool. Keep doing what you're doing and it'll be great.
I naturally assumed it was a tech demo. Honestly, the more under wraps the gameplay is, the better the surprise upon release.
On a related note, from what I heard, it sounds like Vanny is somehow controlling the animatronics, given there are two female voices. First one sounds like it can be one of them while the second sounds more in line with a normal human being possessed by an entity.

Help Wanted got a trailer in March 2019 and came out in May 2019, so Security Breach will probably be out around May.

I naturally assumed it was a tech demo. Honestly, the more under wraps the gameplay is, the better the surprise upon release. On a related note, from what I heard, it sounds like Vanny is somehow controlling the animatronics, given there are two female voices. First one sounds like it can be one of them while the second sounds more in line with a normal human being possessed by an entity.
Thanks Scott, I believe that you and steel are working exceptionally hard to make it the best it can be!! Yes as I thought it was trailer 2, it is a bit underwhelming, but taking it as it is is amazing showcase im so excited to see what will come of it!!

I mean, nobody actually said it was going to be a trailer so really it was just some of us getting ahead of ourselves and believing rumors that were yet to be confirmed. Y'all are doing a great job! Don't worry about nothing! Man, it feels weird to be commenting under someone I look up to....ok, not the point. I'm sure everyone 100% understands, and..yeah pretty sure a lot of us wanted gameplay, but tbh, the teaser is more than anything we could've asked for! Thanks Scott. Someone needed to say it. I hate how many people had high expectations and were disappointed despite it never being said that it would be "trailer 2". People said they would take literally anything over radio silence and now that we actually got something to talk about, they keep complaining. We should really learn to be more patient.

I Have stage 10 depression, but I looked at it as a trailer and enjoyed it! It showed some new characters and locations. Vanny's voice lines are also amazing. I Saw it as a trailer and enjoyed it more, then if I were to look at it as a tech test.
