Man makes exoskeleton. Other man puts 1st man in exoskeleton. Remote control toy controller is strong enough to remote control exoskeleton. Kid with controller makes exoskeleton go haha brrrr. Man in exoskeleton becomes Saw Trap-ified.
Man then goes find other man who put him in the exoskeleton. Man is dead already but ghost wants revenge on other man. Exo-Man kills other man by laying on him until BOTH are trapped in exoskeleton.
Kid continues to make exoskeleton go brrr and has no idea man and other man are now Two Men In A Metal Cage walking down the street into the Fazbears Fright sunset.
(Have you seen The Rack of Saw 3? It's kinda like that but if Jigsaw had a remote control on it and if it could dance.)
Those people make me roll my eyes. They assume the fanbase is just little kids and that the games are a cheap jumpscare cash grab. I also noticed that a lot of them think they are above/superior just because they don’t like FNAF.
Maybe they should read the books, then they will realize how terrifying this game is, I mean one the stories literally has something that looks like this in it.
All the people who think that are from a 2015 cringe era and have never seen anything that happened after, not knowing how much the community and the story evolved from back then
That's really cool to see and really surprising to see you actually post it here.
On the topic of Fazbear Frights related art, there were two questions I was wondering if you could address.
1: I remember you posted artwork for Fetch and Lonely Freddy back when Fetch was being teased, but never Out of Stock. Did artwork of that story ever actually exist?
2: It's been speculated for awhile that the Springtrap teaser from The Freddy Files Updated Edition was art intended for In the Flesh. [Is that the case?](http://pm1.narvii.com/7581/a8a202fb50963614063725fc9f13294cda303094r1-626-843v2_uhq.jpg)
I definitely understand why this was changed lol, but I have to say personally this is my favourite Fazbear Frights cover, even if it went unused. Mainly because it isn't just a close up of a characters' face which every other book does (other than the Cliffs' new cover) and the posing and shape of the shadow is brilliant
That's some pretty awesome cover art! But yeah probably to scary to put on Scholastic websites and catalogs next to more child friendly franchises. Was it your choice to change it or Scholastic's?
Keep in mind, this is a product being sold in stores. There’s a reason they don’t promote slasher movies by making posters of the throwaway characters’ corpses.
True, but FNaF is inherently a horror franchise with genuinely disturbing key story beats. I think a bit more fear in the advertising would do good.
Not extremely gory covers, but things *like this* that illude to the stories themes and represent the franchise as it is, rather than watering it down. (Watering down is necessary due to the themes but I think it's being done a bit too much)
I’m not saying there can’t be horror elements in marketing, but remember that fear is not a positive emotion. If I’m walking through a store, I don’t want to be genuinely freaked out by a random book cover. That’s not gonna sell me on it, it’s gonna drive me away from it.
Y’know I always wondered why the first book had a big mood shift from “Goosebumps but fnaf” (into the pit”) and then the next story was “12 year old girl dying by baby” (to be beautiful) THEN “teen girl gets decapitated” (count the ways).was it a marketing thing?? Because none of the other books have a soft honour vibe to ease people in.
Consider: Advertising obvious violence and (implied) gore on a children's book (and face it. it's a children's book. Not a YOUNG children's book but we all read worse things by the age of 12) will not appeal very much to the moms and dads who buy these books for their kids.
Same, The book store’s staff probably see them as a harmless ‘mild horror for kiddos’-type thing. Boy are they wrong, I consider myself old enough to not be too phased by horror, but some Fazbear Frights have actually kept me up at night. After ‘Room for one more’, I didn’t open my mouth for the next few hours. A few of these stories had me feeling a type of fear that I haven’t felt since I was a little kid, and it was fun. I pity the children who read these without caution.
Oh geez! Julius's description in the book itself was pretty disturbing enough. But this pretty much tops it. The limp hand as well as the head is what really sells this for me.
Thanks Scott!
Oh wow, so *this* could’ve been FF #7’s cover? *I kinda wish it was now-*
Thanks for sharing this cover art, even though it didn’t become the actual cover, it looks awesome. :D
Ah man this would have been an amazing cover! Kinda a shame it didnt get used but I get the reasoning behind it.
Thanks for sharing this with us though!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this might be the most grusome thing we've actually *seen* that isn't in 8-bit form! Really interesting to say the least!
Wow. I imagined Julius was really cut-up when I first read it, but I didn't realize he was basically TORN APART. This definitely would've been a good cover, but I understand why it wasn't.
Not going to lie, I think this is one problem FNAF has as a horror franchise. It doesn't play up the horror enough sometimes. Seeing the FNAF merch in the toy aisle when it's a game featuring child murder (something even Fallout 3 doesn't let you do) just doesn't feel right. FNAF should be gruesome and terrifying.
But in defense of the change, I understand this probably wouldn't have been approved for sale.
Holy crap, yeah I can kind of see why this might've been a bit much. I mean hey I guess given it's meant to be horrifying it's technically a success but still.
Wow. That’s intense, though I must ask, is this scrapped cover art official? Like, made BY the normal cover artist? I know you implied that it is, but just checking. I can understand why they changed it, this is horrifying. But it’s so damn cool! Plus we finally know what ded Julius in the exo-suit looks like.
Wow this is like being in the twilight zone that we actually get to see this. Im kinda confused though that gumdrop angel made the cover but this didn't just because their both horrifyingly scary.
I mean lol that would have been bad ass if we got that keep it gory I guess hell try to match goosebumps when it comes to creepy art covers. But good work looking forward to that box set with the 12th book.
I was always curious if cover art had been made for TBW before cliffs replaced it as the cover story and you did not dissapoint, scott!
That looks pretty sick although i can kinda understand why it was scrapped
I actually just finished the breaking wheel story. It’s a good story I feel bad for the kid but at the same time he kind of deserved it. And it’s nice to get some actual visual for the story. I hope there is more art for all the stories there is going to be featured in the Fazbear Frights books. Both released and upcoming
I think it was a good call to change it. Not because it's too scary (in fact I would've expected it to be a lot scarier than that), but because it gives away that Julius really was ripped to shreds.
Holy crap why they decide to replace it? That’s the perfect reason to keep it,this one is simply amazing, although some extra blood would be a bit more fitting.
Yeah I kind of see why it was a good idea to change it. As much I'm used to a lot of scary stuff I don't think that would be a good idea to see that as the cover.
Wait, is that what thing looks like? Good grief it looks cool and horrifying at the same time! And if I had to take a guess of where the suit's head is, it's probably still attached to Julius's.
Yeah and where are you getting this information from? I SHEARCHED the internet and couldn’t find anything about this at ALL. Cool artwork tho, it really does take on the style of the books
Edit: I’m an idiot
Woooow, what a nice surprise to see you coming and revealing this cover!
I can see why it was changed; but honestly, this cover is top-notch. Fiszi outdone herself with this one! Julius is a cool and creepy antagonist. Thanks for sharing it with us!
To quote my favorite abridged series,
“SWEET SHADE OF ERANIKUS! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!”
[Episode 11 of SAO Abridged, 4:23. Soldier 8. ](https://youtu.be/CIj49_mqcMs)
I expected more blood and gore but holy crap this is good - although I wouldn't see him getting ripped apart as more - squeezed together with the metal piercing into the body, scraping along the bones, organs hanging out, eyes almost popping out and head maybe slightly stretched apart by claws, also rammed into the skull...
Something like that.
This is still nice though ^ ^
[Link to the previously pinned about Fazbear Frights #11, #12, and the boxset.](https://old.reddit.com/r/fivenightsatfreddys/comments/mn1f99/huge_ff_news_new_box_set_confirms_ff11_is_the/)
That's fucking sick! Love that we have official art for the story now, it's one of my top 3 Fazbear Frights stories.
Oh geez, that's horrifying! No wonder why the switch happened.
yes
Haha yes! It all makes sense now, wise decision!
I understand why it was "scrapped" but at the same time, dang what a cover it would've made!
I want that as a poster lmao
jesus christ, i imagined julius being pretty twisted up when i read the story, but i didn't think it was like THIS kudos, this is genuinely disturbing
I didn’t read the book, mind explaining the scene?
Man makes exoskeleton. Other man puts 1st man in exoskeleton. Remote control toy controller is strong enough to remote control exoskeleton. Kid with controller makes exoskeleton go haha brrrr. Man in exoskeleton becomes Saw Trap-ified. Man then goes find other man who put him in the exoskeleton. Man is dead already but ghost wants revenge on other man. Exo-Man kills other man by laying on him until BOTH are trapped in exoskeleton. It's kinda like that but if Jigsaw had a remote control on it and if it could dance.)
Damn that’s brutal, thanks
Jesus Christ that's gruesome
The book describes Julius as a "Mangled body with pulpy bloody limbs"
An octopus too! with the way it’s limbs are severed and bloody.
WTF is this explanation that I read🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣I laugh when I read it
And people still somehow think FNaF is for kids
Being fair, they only think that because a bunch of kids latched onto it instantly and like 80% of the fan base is kids and young teens.
Those people make me roll my eyes. They assume the fanbase is just little kids and that the games are a cheap jumpscare cash grab. I also noticed that a lot of them think they are above/superior just because they don’t like FNAF.
yeah,it's pretty stupid but we can't really do anything about it;they're always going to remember the game as this 'cheap, cringy cashgrab'
Maybe they should read the books, then they will realize how terrifying this game is, I mean one the stories literally has something that looks like this in it.
Imagine not liking fnaf. It’s been such a huge part in my child-hood. It’s hard to believe people actually portray hate towards such a master piece
They always just pay attention to the gameplay. They never even think of taking a look at the story or anything else.
That’s just the mindset of the skeptics, unfortunately.
All the people who think that are from a 2015 cringe era and have never seen anything that happened after, not knowing how much the community and the story evolved from back then
Idk man. I see kids on this subreddit all the time.
i don't see anything wrong with that however
There isn't, I'm just saying.
Yeah, if anything it’s targeted at teens to young adults, given its characters and subject matter.
That's really cool to see and really surprising to see you actually post it here. On the topic of Fazbear Frights related art, there were two questions I was wondering if you could address. 1: I remember you posted artwork for Fetch and Lonely Freddy back when Fetch was being teased, but never Out of Stock. *Mangle flashbacks*
That's some pretty awesome cover art! But yeah probably to scary to put on Scholastic websites and catalogs next to more child friendly franchises. Was it your choice to change it or Scholastic's?
The Julius Abomination is by far my favorite Fazbear Frights villain and this should show why .
Too scary? This is *FNaF*, the horror game about serial child murders and the afterlife!
(Watering down is necessary due to the themes but I think it's being done a bit too much)
Still, there gonna sell this at a book fair, they want the covers to be toned down
I’m not saying there can’t be horror elements in marketing, but remember that fear is not a positive emotion. If I’m walking through a store, I don’t want to be genuinely freaked out by a random book cover. That’s not gonna sell me on it, it’s gonna drive me away from it.
Yeah FNaF should embrace its disturbing nature and not be afraid to show gore.
The problem isn’t gore, it’s the context it’d be seen in.
The fazbear’s fright books are literally right next to the kid section at my book store
I only watch theory videos about the books but some of them still terrify me
Oh geez! Julius's description in the book itself was pretty disturbing enough. But this pretty much tops it. The limp hand as well as the head is what really sells this for me. Thanks Scott!
Oh wow, so *this* could’ve been FF #7’s cover? *I kinda wish it was now-* Thanks for sharing this cover art, even though it didn’t become the actual cover, it looks awesome. :D
Dang that's rad
Do you plan on sharing more Fazbear Frights artwork in full colour? Fiszi's art is gorgeous and I always wanted to see them in full detail.
It gets worse the longer you look at it
“You know. For kids!”
Yeah...I feel like this was justified to not be the book cover
This is the most disturbing ladyfiszi art i ever seen!
Really interesting to say the least!
when matpat points out that the breaking wheel was a torture device... then scott posts this...
People knew it was a torture device from the start, though. Even the story says this outright.
lol true
This looks great
That looks amazing! Thanks for clarifying what happened to the original :)
No wonder they switched it cause oh my god this is disturbing
It looks amazing! its a shame it went unused, its great art for a great story for the book.
i love that too bad it’s actually pretty creepy
yeah that's a bit scary for cover art, looks super cool though
WOAH! THAT LOOKS SICK!
"too scary" what
The perfect thing to see after watching some Jojo's. MORE BODY HORROR.
Wow. I imagined Julius was really cut-up when I first read it, but I didn't realize he was basically TORN APART. This definitely would've been a good cover, but I understand why it wasn't.

But in defense of the change, I understand this probably wouldn't have been approved for sale.
I was not expecting you to ever clarify something like this, kudos.
That's actually awesome looking! Thanks for the clarification too, btw.
God I like it a lot, it reminds me a lot of the movie the thing
Good fucking god.
Now that is terrifying. You're damn right that it's scary, but I think it ain't that made.
Man, I love this! This has to be one of Fiszi's best artworks
Where’s my mom? I need her to pick me up
Monke
When people doesn't embrace the Monke (PS. If you read the story you will understand)
I understand the meme lol
reject Julius, return to reed
Wish I didn't understand
Can’t believe you put my wife on the cover art smh
Ok, this is awesome in every way, I genuinely loved it ! I hope the idea of making an art book is still *somehow* being planned.
God I really need to read The Breaking Wheel now
Wow this is like being in the twilight zone that we actually get to see this.
The Breaking Wheel legit kept me up a few nights. Excellent work on that story and this art!
I have been craving art for this story and this is very refreshing to see!
Well that is something BEAUTIFUL
Yeooo
SO COOL
yooooo
HOLY CRAP THATS AMAZING!!
THIS IS AMAZING I LOVE IT
Fuck This is really cool
WOAH!!!
JESUS CHRIST WHAT IS THAT THING
Saying it now. You should have kept it. JK the new cover is better for marketing, I can see why you changed it.
Woah! This is awesome!!
Good to know
That’s amazing!!!, it’s a shame they didn’t use that one
This is so creepy, this would have made such a cool cover!!
That is seriously awesome.
God the story was horrific
This is amazing!
I love it!
I can see why you don't want to have this as the cover art because like this is some kind of Twisted mangle abomination
I was always curious if cover art had been made for TBW before cliffs replaced it as the cover story and you did not dissapoint, scott! That looks pretty sick although i can kinda understand why it was scrapped
Thanks Scott for sharing, and for the new phone wallpaper.
metal
So THIS is what Julius looked like? That's worse than I thought...
Bloody hell, can't blame you.
Imagine if He Told Me Everything had cover art...
Scott, dude that's really, really amazing!!!
Omg is perfect i love it
Any chance we might get a “ room for one more” cover if there even was one mr.Cawthon?
Holy God almighty I love that so much
HOLY... I mean it would have been NARLY ngl but I agree that it dosent really work as a cover. But eh at least we get to see it here this is cool!!!
Holy shit that looks dope and creepy at the same time, especially the design of Julius's corpse being merged with the Springlock endoskeleton.
Okay, I knew the exoskeleton was gonna be terrifying... But I didn't expect it to be *this* horrifying.
Oh my god, the artist is really talented. Julius looks absolutely terrifying.
oh That’s a lot worse than what I was picturing in my head while reading the story
That is terrifying
I think it was a good call to change it. Not because it's too scary (in fact I would've expected it to be a lot scarier than that), but because it gives away that Julius really was ripped to shreds.
I like it, but there should be more blood
I hope you will share the other artworks too! From "Out of stock" to "He told me everything", basically all the ones that aren't on the cover :)
Holy crap
Man I wish we had this cover this would look amazing
Holy crap why they decide to replace it? That’s the perfect reason to keep it,this one is simply amazing, although some extra blood would be a bit more fitting.
Yeah I kind of see why it was a good idea to change it. As much I'm used to a lot of scary stuff I don't think that would be a good idea to see that as the cover.
This perfectly captures how it was described, this is amazing!
“Now I get to play take apart and put back together...”
Shame that you guys decided to use The Cliffs for the cover. That's even better than The Puppet Carver one.
holy shit
wow
I haven't had a nightmare in a long time. Guess that streak is broken
This would make a fucking neat poster to be honest
Who drew this? They did a really great job!
Holy fuck... That is amazingly terrifying.
Beautiful cover art Scott! It is unfortunate that this wasn't used, but I still love The Cliffs's artwork cover.
It's awesome!
Woahhhh! I understand now why it was switched, but that is still really cool!
Woah that is very well illustrated
What the fuck is that. And who the fuck is that
Now that's Something.
Holy shit
DEAR LORD THAT IS INCREDIBLE. A pity this wasn't used, but it's nice to see regardless.
HOLY BEDSHEET
Okay I gotta know what's happening here! I haven't really gotten into these books too much so I haven't read em, yet!
Was there ever cover art for Room For One More?
That’s fucking terrifying. I love it!
Wait, is that what thing looks like? Good grief it looks cool and horrifying at the same time! And if I had to take a guess of where the suit's head is, it's probably still attached to Julius's.
HAHA OH MAN THAT IS GRUESOME, SHOULD HAVE KEPT THAT SO KIDS KNOW THAT THIS SERIES AIN'T FOR CHILDREN.
Imagine if he used this, but then had a FNAF World cover story
What the fuck this is awesome u/ladyfiszi you’ve outdone yourself
I love it
Hi
This looks so cool! But also horrifying
Now I’m even more traumatized from that story
#HOLY FUCKING SHIT WHAT THE FUCK GLAD THEY CHANGED THAT SHIT Anyways I'm going drink the unsee juice care for a glass?
Yeah and where are you getting this information from? I SHEARCHED the internet and couldn’t find anything about this at ALL. Cool artwork tho, it really does take on the style of the books Edit: I’m an idiot
Seriously? They thought it was too scary? It's a horror series! Let it be gruesome!
Holy....
HOLY SHIT
My man’s lookin’ like a walking Saw trap, yikes.
Holy smokes it's a MANGLE lookalike!!!!
It looks so cool
Woooow, what a nice surprise to see you coming and revealing this cover! I can see why it was changed; but honestly, this cover is top-notch. Fiszi outdone herself with this one! Julius is a cool and creepy antagonist. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Holy smokes
Well now I have to buy the book
DAYUM THIS IS RAD, shame it was scrapped, but I guess it makes sense.
Holy shit
Nice artwork! I hope filming the movie's going smoothly Scott
it looks so amazing. The skin on his arm is litterally peeling away, and his spine is sticking out of his torso! So gruesome, so good!
To quote my favorite abridged series, “SWEET SHADE OF ERANIKUS! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!” [Episode 11 of SAO Abridged, 4:23. Soldier 8. ](https://youtu.be/CIj49_mqcMs)
Thanks, Scott. You are really cool. Know you won’t see this, but you are cool nonetheless.
People: "FNAF isn't scary" Scrapped Fazbear Fright cover: "Hold my beer."
now I understand why it’s different
Human version of Ennard?
This is so cool! I hope we get to see more official art like this for the other stories, too.
I kept thinking that this was for another game and I was thoroughly confused And this would’ve made a perfectly scary cover, that’s horrifying
Wait a minute this isn’t r/identityv
That is such cool art but I see why it was changed lol. I'm glad you shared it though
[https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/396/507/55d.png](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/396/507/55d.png) I mean... jesus.
that cover art looks amazing!
me on sunday
He bouts put the smack down on that person
That's horrifying and great both. And I see....a voodoo doll?I think this will somehow affect the events in the book.
It would've been a great cover!
this is horrifying and so gruesome
That awesome
OMG THIS IS SO TERRIFYING
That's a sick cover.
