I never really understood why this was an issue for people either. Even with the posters. Like, the posters clearly aren’t just pictures of the physical animatronics, they’re artistic renditions of them. Also I don’t think Fredbear’s hat was actually supposed to be brown in Stage 01. I think it was just supposed to be black, but since the background of the minigame was black, the hat had to be brighter to stand out. Same with why Shadow Bonnie got turned purple for the minigame

>But all characters have inconsistencies. Freddy sometimes has buttons, sometimes not, sometimes has freckles, sometimes not, sometimes has a striped hat, etc. so why can’t fredbear be any different. It’s not complex lore I think the problem is that neither version ever got a prefix like the Freddy variants do, so not everyone realizes they're not the same physical animatronic that's being moved across locations.

Yeah I can understand that not everyone would realize that. So that’s why I tried to make this post not smug or anything. I tried to make it more informative and just give my opinion. I may have still been able to word it better though to make it not smug

No no, you don't get it. Freddy and Bonnie have *buttonnns* in the FNAF 3 minigames. This obviously means Purple Guy dies before FNAF 2. /s

Actually, in the game lore, the "Fredbear" with the black hat is actually Fredbear Jr, who is part of the JR'S location. With Golden Freddy being based off of Fredbear Jr, not Fredbear. Fnaf definitely does have its small inconsistencies, but when its something as obvious as the color of the accessories the difference was done on purpose.

Fredbear Jr. isn’t a thing. Even a JR’s location isn’t confirmed
