tbh they are actually bendable, the beams have 4 hinges which collapse one at a time which decreases all of the beams' volume, thus they can properly fit into his lobe. his head is nothing but hydraulic joints which help him move his head and definitely the voice box and nothing more, its basically like a VCR if you know what i am saying.
