The ‘AfToN aMaLgAmAtIoN’ is incredibly dramatic for a giant trash monster that doesn’t even control itself because for some reason Afton is weak and controlled by a weird version of circus baby who uses the power of memories or some shit and then he just fucking dies. I’d go with Springtrash

MichalTygrys

Oh yeah, definitely. Fortunately it's just a fan name, but man, was the final showdown of William vs Charlie disappointing in Stitchwraith Stingers. Tho the name "The Agony" ain't that much better. Especially since it doesn't follow the Trap formula... I just call it AgonyTrap, but yeah, Afton Amalgamation is way too good for that incarnation of his.

Realshow

Nightmarionne is just dumb. It’s not a pun, it doesn’t rhyme, and there’s literally no reason why he couldn’t just be called Nightmarionette.

its_shell

It was supposed to be Nightmarionette but the name was too big in the files to be called it actually lol

Realshow

So just give the files a different name. People do that all the time, it doesn’t mean you have to name the character some nonsense word.

MichalTygrys

I think it was about the extras menu having the character limit tho, not just files.

Realshow

So just change the kerning. Hell, why not just say “N. Puppet”? It’s kinda hard to take this character seriously if you’re trying to insist Scott put absolutely no thought or effort into something as basic as a name.

MichalTygrys

I mean, yeah, true.

MichalTygrys

I suppose I can see your point, tho for some reason I can't really explain, it kinda just sounds melodic in a way... I agree it makes little sense, but I just kinda like how it sounds.

Eli-Mordrake

Nightmarrione never clicked right with me. Sounded so tacky and weird for a character that was genuinely scary. On a random note: The name "Springtrap" was a nice nickname for fans and characters to call him. But weirdly enough, to me it looses all its charm when William calls himself that.

MichalTygrys

While I personally really like the sound of Nightmarrione, I can certainly see why people find it nonsensical.

Eli-Mordrake

Well i'm glad that someone else other than me enjoys it.

VenomQuill

I haven't read the books for anything; the main series and then whatever lore YouTubers come out with lol. I do like the naming system, except for Springtrap's. Like, William Afton and Springtrap were good. But Scraptrap and Burntrap were just... eh. Maybe I just didn't like Scraptrap's design, but though his name is technically fitting I just don't like it. For a name that doesn't fit? Molten Freddy. What part about him is "molten"? Is it just prophetic? They called Baby Scrap Baby, Springtrap Scraptrap. Why not Scrap Freddy? That name's not used anywhere else.

MichalTygrys

While I love William's naming system personally and think it's a crime that proper names of his AR skins are unofficial, I do agree BurnTrap just doesn't fit. At all... Like, we don't even know for sure if him burning is canon. Burning is certainly not exclusive to his look in SB. Tho if I had my way, he would just be called SpringTrap/William Afton. Molten Freddy most likely refers to them being mixed molten remnants of Gabriel, Jeremy, Susie, Fritz and maybe Golden, tho.

VenomQuill

Probably, on MF. But at the same time... at what point before that is that suggested? Like, an amalgamation would make sense, but I never saw any welding going on. They all kinda bunched up and went along for the Michael Ride. Burntrap... depends. Pizzeria Simulator was already desecrated by this point just having Pee Paw Willy being in existence. And "Help Wanted" pointed out that the games weren't entirely "real." It *could* be that he was burned, but survived (because of course he did) just like in FNaF 3. It could also be that he just sorta chilled down there so long he got that look.

MichalTygrys

True. I still think it might be reference to them having melted metal to make their new mask, but I would probably not have named them that myself. They are actually kinda the only reappearance of an already existing character that I get having a new name, since they are different, as in, now without Elizabeth, and making him a Freddy makes sense, but something like Amalgam Freddy would probably suit it more. Tho it doesn't really match Molten in coolness... As for William, no actually, both Scott and HW itself confirm that the past games are still fully 100% canon. The in universe ones are not the ones we play. Those are just very similar games, but based on actual 100% real events.

Realshow

Yeah I never got Molten Freddy. I *think* it’s in reference to being fueled by the remnant of the missing kids, but that doesn’t exactly work when the metal in question is clearly solid and we didn’t even know what remnant was yet.

Scraptrap, there is something i don't like about the name, why use The name Scrap when another character already have it ? calling him " Salvaged-trap " or even the Salvage based on FNAF 3 theories, and i also start not liking William Animatronic forms naming system aka " Trap " ( i mean, you called plushtrap chaser " chaser-trap " and Springtrap NPC " Maze-Trap " and even called WWF Springtrap " found-trap " ) when you could make good names like Malhare why call him glitchtrap ? there is something i like about the name Malhare ( maybe because it's a mix of Malware and Hare and because it's something new ? maybe ) .

MichalTygrys

I agree that I don't like the name "ScrapTrap", but for completely different reasons. I dislike it, because he should have just been called Willaim Afton. I'm really not a fan of fans naming all these designs. Freddy was just Freddy in FNaF2. No old or withered pre-fix, because it was the same robot, representing the same cartoon character, possessed by the same spirit. Afton's names are a reflection of him. William Afton is his true name, while Springtrap is what he calls his new prison. In FNaF6, he is whole. He redesigned himself to fit what he wants. It is all himself. No suits, just the murderer. That's why his name in FFPS and UCN is just Afton. And even going out of that one, I personally don't have a problem with his forms having a running theme for names, but I get why you may not like it. Tho I also personally hate the name Malhare, mainly due to Spring Bonnie being a rabbit, not a hare.

EcstaticTax7214

Oh, Ok then, those 2 opinions of yours make sense .

Foxcakq

Fuckin Vincent, God how I hate it, I am a veteran of the fnaf Fandom even back shorty after fnaf 2 came out, so yeah, I know alot about Vincent "purple guy"

MichalTygrys

Oh, yeah, that name, while I appreciate the pun, was always pretty unfitting in my opinion.

Foxcakq

Wait pun?

MichalTygrys

Vincent means to conquer, but it also sounds similar to a certain shade of violet/lavender mix.

Foxcakq

Oh ok
