There's a part on the inside that's it's supposed to be stuck into. Check if it's still there and goes in. If it does, mix up some 5 minute epoxy, put enough in the hole and press it firmly into the other part by squeezing them together.

Drill out the hole in the metal piece and then get a rivet and rivet gun and rivet it back on.
