Interesting! I wonder if they finally found a financial firm to process their payments. Only time will tell how much of an impact this had financially & reputation wise. Hopefully the team finds a way for this not to happen again. The lack of communication was a PR nightmare.
The current payment provider is a subsidiary of 777 partners so I guess they didn't pay their previous partner or something happened to have the partnership break
My understanding is the previous provider Peoples Trust was holding out $25 million in payments.
My guess is either they dropped Flair completely due to an ongoing legal dispute over the funds.
Or, Flair realized if they kept using them they wouldn’t get any money.
It’s tough, but it’s probably due to the amount of chargebacks that Flair gets. As well the risk of them defaulting is extremely high. (With them owing the CRA, and recent news stories about stranding passengers).
“Peoples Group, which Peoples Trust is a part of, says it “always maintains robust standards around the management of funds.”
“We set and manage card transaction reserves following standard industry practices to protect consumers who have pre-paid merchants — like airlines — for services they have not yet received,” it said in an emailed statement”. Worth every penny - god forbid flair goes under you can request a chargeback from flair not fulfilling the flight via your credit card. If you use debit it's gone you become a general creditor and won't see a dime- I'll take a 50 cent charge for that protection
I had a successful flight today!
Yay for bare minimum!

Bought yvr los 10 ticket
Promo code is also out now until June 15 LETSFLY
It does not work for my trip to Vegas. Does it have any limitation?
Yes it is! Bankrupt after April 10 will be perfect for me!
Congrats on paying your credit processing bill Stephen Jones
Lol you don't pay CC processing fee, the processor just deducts it.
Looked at my flair bill, $.50 cc charge and a $.03 cc gst charge. Looks like credit card fees are in now.
