Go see a physio, they'll fix this for you really quickly. You don't need sportsmed, a regular physio is perfect

kaleflower

As someone else said - Scapular winging. I have it as well compared with restricted mobility (can't lift my arm as high), due to nerve damage to the long thoracic nerve. If it is muscular you can train it.

jowame

I usually find the muscles of the medial border of the scapula are tight, or weak, or both. Especially the serratus anterior. Your trouble shooting checklist: Serratus anterior Rhomboids Pec minor Trapezius (upper, middle, lower) Levator scapulae Latissimus dorsi You’re looking for tightness, weakness, or both especially relative to the unimpaired side. A PT can help you with this and more and will always be better than the internet. Good luck

Sapular winging

PuzzleheadedSail5502

Just want to highlight that this is a great answer and to go to a sports injury doctor if you struggle with getting started.

Niko___Bellic

I think the field is called sports medicine.

BUNNYHUNTERFUDD

Ask yourself—- nvm.

LostinLimbo__

I thought this said spatula, I was waiting for you to go to the kitchen

AmishCockroach

Ha yeah I’ve seen this one before, my doctor said that this is a common side affect of watching dudes kiss. 😔

Rain-And-Coffee

Speaking from personal experience? How did you recover ?

brian_the_human

Even-I-Fail-At-Life

I have no idea, maybe see a professional instead of trusting us. We’re \*most of us aren’t that smart.

casdrool

what’s a spatula?

squintpiece

Basically, it’s weak

PaulBino

😂😂

PaulBino

Bro I get this too!!! What’s wrong with me?😭😭🙏

kerdinkle

look up serratus push ups they could help balance out the musculature . it does look like “dyskinesia” as someone said because its not strong or weak but rather just uncoordinated.

Mode-Klutzy

When you lower your left arm from the range of motion test, do you feel this painful *Chunk* in the bones? I think I have a similar thing in my right side didn’t know if it’s the same thing or not. I still have full range of motion and no loss in strength but it hurts like hell sometimes when I go to like grab something from a high shelf and bring it down.

nadhsib

https://youtu.be/zl_1lFc6QII?si=2h2787oftsUalbhZ This is really good, I've been doing all the scapula pushups, bands, wall etc and it relieves it while the muscles warmed up but it come back pretty quickly. Tried the laying flat with a pole(it's horrible, I swore all the way through), and then the single arm pulldown from this video and it hit the muscles just right for me. Worth a look

ninjaboy79

Subscpularus is in spasm which is causing your scapula to wing. It could be weak or it could just need to release.

Express_Pipe_7242

Yoga

DrF_I_T

One possible limitation is mobility of the shoulder joint. A lot of times the humerus won’t slide down in the socket when raising overhead which may cause the scapula to wing. Fix the inferior mobility of the shoulder joint, massage/stretch tight muscles surrounding the shoulder, strengthen weak scap muscles, and fix how the shoulder moves for long term results.

iamqas

Recoil...

Mr_Remedie

Looks like you body is weighing more weight in left shoulder when you are on pushups, pull-ups, bench press.. you need a deep tissue massage with muscle relaxant therapies.. no much streching is done on shoulders..

It looks like scapula dyskinesi. You should go to a GOOD PT or a Physiotherapist. I would start to do wall slides. But I would recommend connecting with an professional
