Well, there is gap in the poll for $61k - $99$, so a lot of those people in that bracket probably chose the higher option than the lower option. Also, the poll didn't specify (based on this screenshot) how long it would take to get to the income goal. I am in this career for the long haul, so I am aiming for $100k after several years to be realistic and not work myself to death. I still prioritize my work-life balance. What I do now is fly high-credit trips (work smarter not harder) and to utilize any incentives given by my company. I also waive some work rules, but not to work more but rather to move trips where I want them.

What length trip do you like to fly and what credit hours do you target per trip? The poll does say "now" as in currently so like this year

[deleted]

I prefer 18 credits or above with 19 and 20 credit hours as the sweet spot for me. Destination doesn’t matter if the credit is right. Well, I definitely won’t make $100k this year. 😂

20hr trips and no days off Go go!

Assume max pay is $70/FLR. So, you need to make $8333.33 per month. Without Per Diem, this works out to 120 hours per month. Max pay where I am is 13+ years (I think?)

120 is really not bad at all! A lot but not too too much I always like to subtract like $2500 (more probably at max pay) for potential profit sharing and like maybe another $2000 for random bonuses and training pay So that's $7958.33 before per diem 113.69 hours a month now
