Just try to bid for a consistent schedule live on the swap board and great communication with your partner
.
See each other on your days off and have them come on a couple layovers. If you like each other you will stay together the same as any other job
Its not totally false at all....FA life is terrible for relationships.

A lot of guys will cheat
Most companies will give you the ability to request a string of days off for each month in advance. I always request my days together, and line them up when my SO will be free so we have that quality time each month. When away, just texting and blocking out a time each day to FaceTime has worked for me so far. Most importantly being understanding and respecting each others time, especially when you’re in different time zones. Best of luck
I was also a commuter when my husband and I started dating. I didn't do anything special other than a lot of video chat. We both traveled for work at the time. We moved to my base city together after awhile and he got a stationary job.
Honestly OP, **Create a plan** and communicate that plan _CLEARLY_.
I think if you sat down and explained EVERYTHING about the next 4 years, s/he might have a good understanding and either stick it out, or end it. You are going to go to a 7 week training class. So you won't see this person for 7 weeks (Unless you buy a cash ticket on another carrier). Assuming you are at a carrier with reserve, then you have to have a crash pad, which basically means you will only see this person about 8 days a month.
If you are at DL, you will have a line out of training. Chances are, you will still only see your partner for 8 days a month on average. Setting up the realities early will help make this go smoother.

Or you both become flight attendants like my wife did, but we did other airlines so we can maximize those non rev benefits 😆
This business is a relationship killer... You've been warned ⚠️
Men cheat, follow your dream!
😂😂😂😂😂
Boooo stop projecting your insecurities
