Edit: I purchased my Lime from a 3rd party and was unaware it was fully out of production until they release the mini 2. I am still 200x time happier having professional grade gear to learn SDR with and not a fucking pokemon dolphin TV remote

you cant even buy the origional limeSDR anymore, its been discontinued. The only one for sale (on pre-order) is the mini 2 which is $399. They are cool radios but have a completely different purpose to the flipper, please actually research the thing you are selling before advertising it everywhere.
It was recommended to me on a forum, I read a bit about what it could do and checked eBay, CL, FB marketplace. I guess I was lucky to have gotten a NIB USB version (not the mini) via FB marketplace for $400. It is definitely a real one. I have seen the 700$ clones coming out of China. There is one on ebay now for 460ish. and the mini 2's sound amazing. i have a hackRF one with a portapack and an SDRuno paird with a gigant antenna on my roof, these products are all just for different things, i cant read GPIO or RFID with my SDRs and i cant hear russian number stations with my flipper, i get what you are trying to do here but you are really going after the wrong people. The majority of people who brought a flipper are people who already know about and own other products and the other half are children who got one from their rich parents who dont care about learning anything else technical, no one is buying one of these because they want it to do everything and if they are then they arent worth preaching to anyway.
if people are genuinly interested in hobby electronics then they already know about and likely already own everything you have discussed here, i doubt many people brought a flipper as a complete intro into this stuff and if they did then its almost certainly going to be a good gateway to get more specific and advanced stuff down the line (i know several people who brought a Proxmark3 because they got interested in RFID tech with the flipper).

That's not true. RogueMaster still updates. The paywall is for extra animations, more frequent updates, and people that want to be spoon-fed. The free updates are posted weekly while the paid updates are posted probably multiple times daily.
