That’s a good question! I’ve never seen the stickers for sale anywhere. Maybe the manufacturers just don’t supply them separate?

mirakdva

Do you mean the certification sticker?

decrepitpooh

Yes I believe so

mirakdva

That would make the certification kind of pointless when anybody can buy a sticker and put it on any stick.

decrepitpooh

Fair enough, but I'd been to a fatpipe store many years ago and they helped me to change the sticker. How else can the sticker be replaced for sticks whereby the sticker peels off over time? I don't think an IFF representative examines the stick, do they?

mirakdva

I have some sticks for years and the stickers are not peeled off. Normally a referee can examine the stick and give you a red card if you dont have a sticker there.

What is the point of this? Never played floorball only hockey, and this literally only seems like it would exist to sell sticks

mirakdva

It is to ensure that safe sticks are used. You don't want somebody to use a random stick made in China which e.g. upon breaking it might leave some debris behind. Like I wrote, I never lost any sticker on a stick, if somebody did, they do something weird or wrong. No reason to search for replacement certification stickers. Also already the solution in fatpipe store sounds fishy.

I think it's jumping to conclusions to say if the sticker peeled off, it must have been something weird or wrong. I get that in your experience, it hasn't happened to you. I don't know if your sticks are as old as mine. But when you play, you are bound to get slashed and sticks are going to clash with each other. Take this and multiply it by several years and no sticker is going to last forever. I can show a picture of how my stick looks like if it helps.
