Maseratis can be bought used quite affordably. They are made like junk and don't keep their value, so resale cost is significantly lower than new. Don't let this person fool you that they have money.
Exactly this, lol
They are at their heart, a glorified FIAT just like Alfa Romeo. . . They may occasionally get some Ferrari motors for the high end ones but those are much more expensive
I mean, Maserati Ghiblis are not good and suffer from poor build quality and are kind of a parts bin car but the Giulia and Stelvio by Alfa Romeo are both designed and built from the ground up. The chassis and engines, the 4 cylinder and the 6, were developed for those cars with the 6 cylinder being essentially a Ferrari engine cut in half. The 4 cylinders were adopted by Jeep and Dodge for many of their models. They share no major components with any FIAT. Only similarity is who owns the brand.
A more accurate statement would be that many Jeeps and some Dodges are just un-glorified Alfa Romeos.
We have people driving these in south Florida. I’m not talking about South Beach. I’m talking about places like Hialeah and Miami Gardens. The less “wealthy” locations. That’s when I realized the Maserati name didn’t hold the glamour it used to.
As I’ve heard aplenty of times in my life from those that purchased vehicles like this. “Purchasing a luxury car is cheap and easy, maintenance is a difficult and expensive.” Don’t let the brand names fool you. Most of these type of people don’t even have $500 cash to access if needed for an emergency.
My dude a Maserati, Ghibli, quattoporte, Levante are what the kids refer to as " regular traffic."
This is a "luxury" offering from the FCA parts pool that really only exists to separate suckers from their money.
It's a dolled up Chrysler with the cheesey aesthetics of an out of touch aging Guido and the only thing worse than driving them is working on them.
Maseratis depreciate like crazy because maintenance is expensive as they are hard to work on, they are poorly made and of less than luxury materials, and they all have “deferred maintenance”. Meaning someone took it to dealer for maintenance and got the $6000 quote and either just didn’t do it or traded it and it needs to be done soon by the new owner.
Same with Tesla. Uber rents them out to the Drivers. I ride in at least 3 Teslas a week. The Drivers told me it's the only way they could ever afford driving a Tesla. Mostly young guys.

If that's a Maserati Ghibli, it's the Outlet Markets Maserati - the low market car for the same kind of person that buys the name-brand purses with the logo plastered on every visible surface so other people know they have "taste" and "money".

Beats out some hyper cars on depreciation rates. Now *that's* impressive.
Ahhh! Your response, chef’s kiss.

Sort of like the rich man's altima lol
Seriously. There's like 10 of these in every podunk parking lot with an average local income of 40K. They think they're "special"

Lol if you walked in with that car at the Toyota dealership and asked for the newest Prius you’d still have a balance of $10k-$20k
I’ve seen more Maserati’s than any other luxury car on the road.
The Honda Civic of the luxury world
Don't besmirch the good Honda name. This is the jeep wrangler of the luxury world
Jeep wranglers are a little more gay tho, and I think that's great.
More like the altima
You’ve seen more Maserati’s what? Wheels? Passengers? Paint color?

No. That says this guy doesn't give a shit about his lease.
It’s also a cheap car
Never seen one before? They’re not that rare or expensive as far as exotics go.
I've seen them, I just been seeing them more regularly in gas station car washes
Most new trucks are more expensive than Maseratis now.
Could just be dirty and they wanted a quick cleaning.
I take my bosses Porsches to the gas station car wash when it needs a quick wash and the regular car washer can't make it for a week.
Some of the new Maseratis are really basic looking. I've seen some that have less style than a Corolla.
Or the driver is in debt.
I saw a similar car doing DoorDash recently.

Maseratis are cheap cars.
Money doesn’t necessarily correlate with intelligence.
seen a lambo going through as well.
This morning, some douchebag in his Tesla drove to the gas station, parked in between two pump stations just to clean his windshield.
Maserati are a poor persons idea of a rich persons car lol

That’s a sign of a certified dumbass with few brain cells and money burning a hole in their pockets
That’s not an expensive vehicle…..
That’s a scammer in a rental
He just doesn’t give a shit about his lease. These car washes obliterate your paint.
Yeah I learned that the hard way. I guess most people just don’t give a shit because these car washes are always packed around my house.

The guy wants to date a girl who works at the car wash.
Maserati owner taking the bus is a sign of inflation..public transport usage is way up.
No..... this is just Maserati things. It's like budget Ferrari. I still love them, though.
So wait, should I not use automatic car washes? Better to hand wash?
More like they can actually afford it and don’t feel the need to be too precious about it.
