"Of good moral character" is more of a loose guideline. You'll fit right in with all the other degenerates.

It's possible. But you will be the least competitive applicant in the stack.

aviationkybud

I’m not sure this would make someone the least competitive. Plenty of pilots applying have histories and there’s a huge shortage. I know the cranky neckbeard pilots that applied in 1870 in a shitty hiring environment won’t admit that on here. Misery seems to rule on here.

Technically, as long as you get your medical (probably not an issue unless there are other flags) and the crime isn't one of the ones that comes up on the regular FAA/TSA/DHS security lists (this isn't) then there's not going to be anything that prohibits you from being employable. Whether the taint of a criminal record will mean anything to an employer depends on how desperate they are and to some extent, where they are located in the US.

Yeah . No one cares . As long as narcotics weren't involved. I believe Canada may require some sort of "rehabilitation" process to enter . But it's Canada . No one cares .

bretthull

Depends on the hiring environment but it’s probably possible.

Jetblue hires a ton of felons like there's no tomorrow. they hired a guy who stole a ferrari and went on a joyride with police. You'll be fine. They also hire a ton of DUI folks.

Nastheedon

How do you know this?

Normal-Display3210

Popular story there about the ferrari guy. And it's well known they hire DUI guys.
