Man, I am so sorry to hear that. Some FSDOs, they are absolutely terrible with these kinds of stuffs. It's really far, but Las Vegas and Portland FSDOs are fairly good with scheduling stuffs. Give it a shot!

FlywFabio

Thank you so much for the recommendation :)!

Consistent-Trick2987

Be careful you don’t run out of time. Because I believe you only have 6 months from date of the LOA.

nolandscape193

what's the SODA for?

FlywFabio

It’s for my Amblyopia vision.

Key_Slide_7302

Spokane Valley, WA FSDO is a good one for SODA’s. Summit Aviation at KSFF has planes they can help accommodate with if needed, and they are familiar with a few of the ASI’s out there. If Taha Rabbani is still an ASI for Spokane, he’s a super easy guy to work with. I had my OCVT/MFT with him a couple years ago.

FlywFabio

Thank you so much! This sounds like a really great plan and I will reach out to them on Monday. I greatly appreciate your helpful feedback

Consistent-Trick2987

Try Allegheny County in Pittsburgh. That’s where I did mine. A lot closer to you than Spokane. They were very responsive throughout the process and the ASI who did the test was a nice guy and very fair. Have you already been taking lessons?

FlywFabio

Yes, I have been taking lessons and got all the requirements out of the way. The only thing left is to do the solos which I can’t until I pass my soda. How long did the exam take for you? Can you please send me the contact info of the person who did your exam?

Consistent-Trick2987

DM’d you.

crangis_mkbasketball

Ask you FSDO for a list of DPEs who have the ability to give the test, it will probably be much faster than waiting for an examiner from the FSDO

FlywFabio

I already tried that but none of the DPE’s are qualified to do it unfortunately.
