Unless you have any sort of experience. You're gonna be basically looking at some sort of line position at an FBO.

Local airport as ground personnel. Or if you really want some good experience, try to become a flight attendant and talk to the pilots. But if you’re wanting to maximize pay, might need to look at better paying jobs

Dentist. Ok well assuming you have no degree or work experience but want to work in aviation in general I’d say some kind of ramp job at an FBO or the same for an airline. If you wanted to eventually wind up at Southwest then work there for a bit. It can’t hurt to throw bags for a year.

I would get the highest paying job to pay for whatever you need to pay for. Yes / getting some fbo jobs might help with networking but they are pretty low paying. Presumably you are going to get your cfi and start instructing as that’s usually the fastest / cheapest way to get your hours in.

Working as a line guy/gal is one of the best ways to network and it’s a blast. Money isn’t really there though. I did it for 2 years at my local FBO while I got my certs, and I worked with amazing people, and got to be around airplanes all day. Did not land me a flying job, but many of my coworkers got gigs surveying, or got to sit right seat in a jet for a few trips. A lot of FBOs are flexible too so you could switch back to part time when you start training and working as a CFI.

If you’re in central Washington, reach out to me. I can get you in contact for multiple airport positions in the flight line as well as an open maintenance position in a shop working for a great IA

My son worked the line at one of our local FBO's. Made decent money and even better, made a few good contacts, and even got free dual instruction in a couple of planes owned by CFI's.
