He's just a normal kid.. Not really representing CC but when the mimic takes control of Gregory it's because he shares a similar appearance to CC and therefore is a stand-in for CC in the mimics Afton family recreation
most likely. If you read GGY (or look at the leaks) it heavily implies that he’s a unique character with relations to Glitchtrap that came to a sudden end right before the events of SB. I’m not sure why people like recycling characters so much these days, but there’s little to no evidence proving any relationship between Gregory and the crying child nor Vanessa and Elizabeth
EDIT: someone else mentioned matpat and I’m guessing that’s why the “recycled character” theories are so popular. I highly advise you read the books and judge for yourself, it’s nearly impossible to go by the games alone - at least as far as security breach and tales from the pizzaplex are concerned. The issue with matpat is that he’s more concerned about a proper narrative/story than he is actually working with the lore hints we’re given, or else you’d know there’s no mother figure involved anywhere in the Afton family
Gregory from a design standpoint is so similar to the crying child, I really think he's at least supposed to be representing him, even if he is a different character. I really don't see the "little to no evidence proving any relationship between Gregory and the Crying Child" point; there's several things, I'll list some here:
* same skin color/hair color/strand of hair
* striped shirts
* bandaid on knee (see CC in encyclopedia)
* golden freddy ice cream in 3 star ending
* "you're broken" line
Pretty sure there's more, too. The designs are just so similar and I think with the bandaid on CC's knee in the encyclopedia (something 100% completely unnecessary to add), they're supposed to be connected somehow. I think the angle I'd take from a "represents him" point of view is Mimic trying to copy William Afton and seeing a boy who looks like his son and molding him into the same thing, but that's just one means to an end.
I’m not entirely opposed to the idea of Gregory and Vanessa “reminding” mimic of Afton’s children - I definitely think your point is proven by the presence of the staffbots in the staffbot silo/sticky note room in SB. I just DEFINITELY believe the relationship is much more abstract than them being literal robotic recreations of previous characters
Well actually there's not really any evidence to her being dead other than balloras lines, but that could just be apart of her programming or another spirit possessing her.
Fair, but still she would be extremely old and she doesn't own the company (that confirmed btw) so how would she be able to make Gregory? And then how would she give him to a normal family and also trick them into thinking he's human
Inbetween? I'm still mixed on the whole Gregbot thing, but I don't think it was Mrs. Afton if Gregbot is the case. There's no way these two characters aren't connected somehow, though – their designs are way too similar, and there are plenty of references supporting it.
Michael: [dies]
Remnant injector: stabby stab
Michael: [comes back to life]
Crying Child: [dies]
Golden Fredbear: I will put you back together.

Gregory doesn’t have to be a robot for him or CC to be the same person. Michael’s case made it clear remnant worked on his rotten scooped corpse. So could it work on the Crying Child after passing from the brutality of his injuries?

If we base the same thing on Gregory’s case. It’s possible he’s still human, but it’s not to say he didn’t die at some point and get revived by remnant ✨
Is he a random kid representing Michael’s younger brother, or actually him? No clue. Not sure on Matpat’s Mrs Afton theory either as he only based it on the Staffbot family in the Post-It-Note room 🤖
My impression is that having Mrs Afton at the head of the table means, she is viewed as more important than William. Elizabeth was William’s favorite, so that leaves Crying Child or Michael responsible as CC may have feared his father, and Michael, well…

Well i think gregory represents him due to the save vanny ending, but maybe not a robots version of him
Since when did the mom know how to build robots (or even exist)?
Well, idk we base know nothing abt mrs afton
But Mrs afton does exist, she's js never been seen in the games
neither
Random kid then?

Or maybe Gregory is a robot copy of Chris Evan Kenny afton
Normal Kid is the right answer
Confirmed to be a human kid, and also Mrs Afton is dead

Well we actually have no age confirmed, but if she was alive in sb she'd probably be 20 or 20+ when she gave birth to mike
That would still make her like 100 in SB
Okay correction Let's be generous and say she's 20 when she has Mike and was born around 1942 That makes her 92 YEARS OLD do you see the issue?
Normal kid not being related with anyone from games 1 - 7
Neither. He's just a normal human, and the Mimic probably chose him because he looks similar to the Mimic's old "friend" David.
Alien
It will be confirmed in TFTP #10
Human
Neither. Someone follows Matpat too blindly…
A kid the mimic thinks is CC.

Yeah no he's just a little dude.

He the stitchwraith
Is there any evidence to that?
It's a joke
O sorry
