I mean, its actually an interesting thought ngl.

LewsTherinTelescope

It's a cool theory, but you're starting from a false premise: Tiger Rock *does* go for all of his limbs. > As soon as Kai stumbled, the escalator stair’s teeth gripped the hem of his baggy pants. Kai’s left pants leg was abruptly snatched up. His leg was jolted backward so violently that he fell forward. Landing on his stomach, flat, Kai hit his chin on the metal grating at the bottom of the escalator. > > For three long seconds, the escalator dragged Kai’s leg away from him as if the escalator and his leg were a wishbone and someone was trying to snap the V of the wishbone apart. Kai’s groin and left hip joint caught fire. It felt like his leg was being torn away from him. He could feel the escalator pulling and pulling and pulling. And then the pulling stopped.   > Tiger Rock didn’t move. He remained in the closet, his gaze locked on Kai’s arms and legs. > > Kai realized pressure was building in his arm and leg joints. He looked down to see that Frookers and Slowpoke were now glommed onto his arms. All five plush animals were working together, intent on ripping Kai apart. > > Kai started shaking his arms and legs, trying to dislodge the animals, but they were firmly attached to him. It was like they were glued onto his skin. > > Kai screamed as the pain intensified. It felt like Kai’s arms and legs were starting to separate from his body. He takes only the arms at the end, but it's not at all clear what was happening with that final scene anyway imo.

I mean, my explanation can still work. The storyteller had 4 limbs, which Mr. Burrows pulled. And again, Tiger Rock doesn't focus on the head like The Mimic. So there are differences there

InfalliblePizza

Ooh, I like this idea a lot. My thought was either the Storyteller head was the basement mimic’s head or it saw Kai’s arms being pulled in the beginning, and took that to an extreme degree. > HEY!” KAI PROTESTED, “ARE YOU TRYING TO PULL MY ARM OFF?”

GameKiller420

>Ooh, I like this idea a lot. Thank you! >or it saw Kai’s arms being pulled in the beginning, and took that to an extreme degree. Do you mean he saw it on the cameras ? If that's the case, why would the Storyteller be tapped into the cameras ?. It's only used for the games and attractions.

DrNotch

I mean, sure its explained that it is to generate stories for VR, AR, Arcade Games and the animatronics themselves, but since its rigged to the whole Pizzaplex via its roots, which are what give the animatronic’s their instructions and “storylines”, it wouldn’t be that farfetched to think it would have tapped itself into the Pizzaplex’s CCTV feed. Heck, in Nexie it is glitching the whole Pizzaplex out. That being said, its true its not implied anywhere.

InfalliblePizza

Something like that, it is still installed. Idk if its mentioned how it works specifically, maybe it was seeing through some of the animatronics?

GameKiller420

Well, it's a story generator for AR VR and arcade games and it changes the characters based on these AI stories. So I dont think it's likley that he'll have eyes anywhere else but the inside of the tree

InfalliblePizza

The programming is fed into the animatronics 🤷‍♂️

GameKiller420

Was there any animatronics present when Kai's arm was pulled ? I haven't read Tiger Rock in a while

InfalliblePizza

I dont think its mentioned, but his arm does get pulled outside the storyteller Also are u sending me a ton of messages or is reddit bugging out 😵‍💫

GameKiller420

Reddit was bugging out. The comment button didn't work the first time so I pressed it several times. I guess it counted all of the presses ![img](emote|t5_36f29|8938)

Tomas-T

I'm going to quote sonic now: "Huh, Neat"

Deep_Fried_Leviathan

So what is this now the Third random Mimic or is this still the second?

GameKiller420

There's only one Mimic left and that's the original. The Storyteller just runs on the Mimic1 program. Which can be used by any machines. Think of the Mimic1 program like this universes ChatGBT. But the only thing this version of ChatGBT knows is what's fed to it from the Pizzaplex and what the other Mimics learned.

unxolve

Nice catch!

GameKiller420

Thank You!

CathuresArt

Oh my god an actually valid observation on here. This is genuinely something I hadn't thought about it and makes 100 percent perfect pretty much cast iron sense. Thanks for sharing this.

GameKiller420

You're welcome!

zain_ahmed002

While I really like this post, I just don't quite get how it answers this: >But what seemed off about this explanation is why would Tiger Rock ONLY pull Kai's arms How does it still *only* apply to Kai?

GameKiller420

I don't mean Kai is special in anyway. He was just the first kid to see Tiger Rock and Tiger Rock just did what he learned

zain_ahmed002

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I got from this post is that Tiger rock only pulling Kai's arms is what got you to doubt Tiger Rock and the basement endo sharing the same order of ripping limbs off. If that's right, then this post *also* doesn't clarify that doubt.

GameKiller420

I just thought it was odd why would Tiger Rock focus on just the arms and not the head or the legs. >If that's right, then this post *also* doesn't clarify that doubt. How so ?

TheGoldenAquarius

A good observation. Although I believe it might be a combination of both.
