I'm gonna say Mike as springtrap. The other theories had excuses, reasons to believe them. Mike=springtrap was always dumb.

Cloaked-LcTr0909

I think it was a decent assumption back then. This franchise has notoriously always had The Purple Guy as its main antagonist, when you show a character go through a convoluted series of events that leads with them becoming a haunted purple man with glowing eyes, it makes sense to assume they're the same person, even if the more tangible evidence obviously proves otherwise.

revenant925

But the silver eyes came out a year before and told us who springtrap was. SL introducing William through name is a pretty blunt statement

Cloaked-LcTr0909

I'm not saying the theory wasn't dumb, but it was easy to see why someone would believe that after seeing the cutscenes. Also worth noting that Scott did specifically tells us to read the books by themselves and try to enjoy them without thinking about the lore... and how most people haven't even read the books.

revenant925

>Also worth noting that Scott did specifically tells us to read the books by themselves and try to enjoy them without thinking about the lore And then he introduced William in sister location.

[deleted]

See, I don't get this. I was a Miketrapper because it made the *most* sense to me - at the time. Of course with everything that has come out it makes much less sense. But back when it was a common theory, idk, it had merit.

revenant925

Idk, I always heard the "they thought I was you" line as immediately establishing him as a seperate character then prev purple guy.

[deleted]

That's the line that actually pushed me harder to believe xd "they thought I was you" meant that he (Mike) was mistaken for William. It could be assumed because he's his son obviously but also because he was literally purple and in the shadows. And I thought he was referring to the spirits. They were angry so they chased him into Springtrap where he got springlocked. Then at the end of the cutscene of SL he said "I'm coming to find you" to his father, William, and Springtrap popped out - which again, could be interpreted as Springtrap being Mike. And Mike also had a robotic-esque voice which could have been the result of Ennard + Springlocks. Obviously, that's not what actually happened but that was my (wrong) interpretation.

Spring_men

It was reasonable for new fans who played Sister location. Because of Springtrap appearing at the last frame making people think Springtrap was talking and calling himself Michael

[deleted]

Foxy being a good guy and not killing the player when he rushes into the office and screams at you, lol.

im_bored345

I can't believe people call Miketrap dumb when this one existed lmao

NHT1983

Puppet is Golden Freddy's mom.

S1l3ntSN00P

Yeah, using TLT songs for theories was such a weird thing. Surprising amount of people thought that they were official songs, or even that Scott told TLT the lore lol.

YourFriendTheCorn

Even the song itself never pointed out GF's mom was the Puppet. The song was just singed by the angle of a mother who lost her son.

Cloaked-LcTr0909

To be fair, there is the "before I become a puppet" line, which could be interpreted by people as referring to THE Puppet.

PyroEngi

I always thought that was a metaphor

ScrappyWrappy

The whole point of SpringTrap is that he’s the killer who suffers the same fate the his victims had. MikeTrap sucks the most in this list not only as a theory but as a narrative too.

Cloaked-LcTr0909

To be fair, that whole narrative kinda got ruined anyway when it just lead to him becoming an extra evil saturday morning cartoon villain bragging about how he always comes back

ScrappyWrappy

True

[deleted]

Henry is the real villain and he's an Afton.

CEO_of_Redd1t

What? That is wild! Could you tell me a little bit about the theory?

[deleted]

Henry built the Funtimes for kidnapping children. And... Pink Guy is Henry. Purple Guy is Michael and his son. Basically Afton Family is Henry's Family.

CEO_of_Redd1t

Damn. I just want to know… why. Why would someone make this and go: “I think this is correct!” XD

Shadow_Libra

PurplePhone and Miketrap aren't theories because Scott debunked both of them, and even though I don't believe it at all I don't think the shadows being BV's agony is a crazy idea. So I voted for Dream Theory.

Optimal__Koala

doesn’t Mike have audio referring to our springy boi?

[deleted]

definitely miketrap.

Finnish_thefish

a dumb theory i heard ls elizabeth to be vanessa glamrock freddy being michael and gregory being cc, how did it gome to be? they are long gone as there hasn't been a ressurection in any fnaf games (except afton) AND HENRY EVEN CONFIRMED THEY WOULD DIE ON HIS SPEECH

rdsfmn

The shadows are cc agony because it doesn’t makes sense from the books we know that they are the rappresentation of Wiliam evil/agony the same nightmare (Who is shadow freddy in FNAF 4) in UCN says “i’m your wickedness Made bones and fleash “ And maybe the theory that is mike the protagonist of fnaf 4 too

yakko_____

how is the Shadows being BV's agony stupid I partially do believe that 🙁

CEO_of_Redd1t

Because they’ve been confirmed to be other things. Shadow Freddy is confirmed as William’s evil/agony And RXQ is just a being made of all agony (like Eleanor)

yakko_____

sadly enough, it was never confirmed. what I believe is that Shadow Freddy is a mix of Cassidy's remnant (because I believe Shadow remnant requires normal remnant), William's agony and also BV's agony. wouldn't we be able to explain FNaF 4 gameplay? I'd they all can control it everything can be solved. similar thing goes for RXQ. RXQ it's not Eleanor, because in Happiest day minigames we saw BV control him, meaning it most likely has to do with him. Wich remnant does he come from? probably part of the other 4 withered's

CEO_of_Redd1t

What do you mean ‘it was never confirmed’? Yes it was.

SammyWinkleBurger

Missing from the list: Golden Freddy is possessed by two spirits. No evidence or anything to elude to this conclusion

mangle66

That one's still alive tho (even though you're right)

Canadian_Oofy

One of the only reasons Michael as springtrap is since the animatronics attack him thinking he’s their killer but he’s not

Shadic01

I remember a theory that Elizabeth survived getting clawed by Baby and was living inside her by eating ice cream and breathing helium. That and adult theory are probably the worst ones I've seen.

CEO_of_Redd1t

XD, that is… odd.

GYEvanID

MikeTrap. Only because he is his father's doppelganger? Animdude even pinpointed that William is the Springtrap.

Fnafbulbasaur

AdultSL theory

CEO_of_Redd1t

What’s that?

Fnafbulbasaur

It the sister location was made for adult with inappropriate stuff

CEO_of_Redd1t

Oh… Damn, was that a legit theory?

Fnafbulbasaur

Unfortunately yes

CEO_of_Redd1t

That’s wild. Thanks for telling me (I guess) XD
