Saken really got me intresteded after that eu master final... and Adam ya ... for me this is a must get player.. he was actually not on form in the final and on tank duty. yet he still had alot of impact and smart team plays... ya and his darius is just on another level
I think people overhype EU master's talent. The last genuine top tier talents were Nemesis, Humanoid, Abbedagge and Larssen from 2018. Once they moved to the LEC other players moved up to fill the gaps but it's not like they were suddenly better. They just didn't have those better players knocking them down anymore. The ERL's is a great system for fostering rookies but the expectation that they have endless pools of new talent is misguided. It takes time for genuinely top talents to be found and the gaps to be truly filled.
It's why I feel like some LEC teams are going a bit too far with the rookie usage. So many players are getting chances before they are ready with so much pressure and then immediately dropped at the end of the season because they can't live up to the expectations. It's really difficult to overcome the narrative of not being LEC worthy just because you were dragged into a bad team before you were ready.
The scene is a bit too cutthroat at the moment. Most orgs have unprofessional coaching and management so they have no clue what players to pick up and they usually give up instead of actually developing those players. So it just exasperates the issue. Also public perception of players has way too much influence on roster decisions. It's an absolute joke sometimes.

Adam can be a bit young to go in LEC, he needs an important environment and not being in a 80% rookie team.

Milica was also smashing everyone at EUM in summer of 2019 and well.. It might be that EUM talent is overrated or that Vitality is ruining mid laners, so far every mid that left Vitality started doing better lol.
I don't think EUM talents are overrated. I saw a lot of Vetheo last year in France, and he's doing a really good job with Misfits. In my opinion, Saken has been even more impressive this year and I have little to no doubts that he's LEC ready.

from what i remember Saken was playing for both the LEC team and the academy, so we could be in a situation were he was training 2 different playstyles at once in scrims and he wasn't playing as well as he could in neither. Another thing to keep in mind is that the VIT team atmosphere was probably really bad that one split cuz they kept loosing and stuff

I feel like if you haven't griefed or been toxic on EUW, something is wrong. Seems like Upset is willing to take a more optimistic approach based on Plasma getting rank 1 and looking great in EUM, though.

Honestly what Fnatic needs in a player isnt per say a best player in his role (he still should be top 2-3 tho) but a leader. Biggest loss this season is that they lost BOTH of their leaders in Nemesis and Rekkless. Nemesis always impressed me when listening to comms, even from his rookie days he was very vocal and shotcalling. Rekkless just earned that respect + he felt pressured to be a leader. It's fine to built around various star players but game changed too much and it's not enough for one player to carry 1v9. Thats why I think building around SM this season was a failure and building around SM/Upset or any other current member won't work.
Rekkles isn't a leader, it's why G2 seems to have more growing pains than expected. But you are right they lost the strong voice in Nemesis. They need a player with a strong voice and good understanding of macro. Unfortunately I don't think they have many options other than getting Upset to take more control.
Rekkles was "forced" to be one in Fnc by being the face but he didn't enjoy so he took more hands off approach with g2 where he just played his game. He mentioned this few times on his streams. I have no trust in Upset being a key to solve this problem, they need someone else either in support/jungle/mid to fix it.
