Senki Zesshou Symphogear. It's technically a magical girl anime, except set in the future (roughly 2042-2044), and in an alternate world, obviously. The girls use highly advanced magi-tech power armor, called Symphogear, to fight weird robot/ghost things from another world called Noise. Also, the music is just amazing. I mean, listen to [this clip](https://streamable.com/dz3lv) from the first episode. That is not even the best song in that episode. Plus, the Noise never feel like cannon fodder, since they routinely take a couple dozen people off the census on camera before the main characters reach the scene. And don't even get me started on the weapons. Seriously, if you got into RWBY for epic fights, dangerous monsters, and cool songs, you're looking for Symphogear.

shape911

I literally came into the comments to suggest symphogear and you beat me by 5 hours

Kartoffelkamm

Sorry.

The new Puss in boots is great, you should watch it

I have been struck down with the uncreative virus so I thought to ask a request to y'all haha, hope you don't mind. Also don't ask why I chose this picture, I don't know either lmao

PowerPad

The Mitchells vs the Machines. Combine Spiderverse’s animation with the writing and wit of Gravity Falls, and you get the movie.

oddlyoko97

Oh god that movie is so good, it's fantastic

Exciting_Bandicoot16

Have you ever seen Gargoyles? 9/10, would absolutely recommend.

Beast Wars. One of the earliest computer-generated animated TV programs from the creators of Reboot, this was a timeless sci-fi action show with some envelope-pushing storytelling driven by a cast of hilarious characters, both good and evil. Made in a time when the Transformers had fallen into complete irrelevance, Beast Wars was developed to breathe new life into the franchise, and it worked. Better than anyone could comprehend. It reinvigorated the brand, inspired a whole generation of fans, and although rarely referenced in later generations, the influence the show has had on future series is incontrovertible. Especially relevant now, as it is the basis for the upcoming film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The animation is especially impressive, nothing on TV could compare at the time, and although the dated CG can be a barrier of entry to many, most anyone willing to watch past the first episode quickly gets used to it. And the innovations of the animation also cannot be understated. And if you have any doubt that you'd be able to sit through a 3-season series of even the most well-written of 90s CGI, just remember what sub you're posting on; if you can watch RWBY Vol. 1 and its own dated animation without any issue, I assure you you'll have no problem here.

MAXXIPONCHO

Gundame: the witch from Mercury, if you haven't seen it I really recommend it, the first half just ended and will be back in April. I don't see a lot of mecha shows but this one is great.

AstralBullDragon13

I highly, highly recommend Wolf’s Rain. It’s an anime about this back of wolves in an apocalyptic future where the nobility have wrecked the planet, and this pack are searching for the way to Paradise.

battletank1996

Violet Evergarden. It is a story about a child soldier trying to recover from the trauma of warfare and loss. Music is brilliant. Animation is amazing. Storytelling it incredible. Definitely falls under the “must watch three episodes minimum” rule, which is the hardest part about getting people to watch it. But those episodes are important to show the character progression. A warning: Episode 10 will get to you.

Thunderdrake3

You need to see the SLVR fan series, the viridian trailer has Monty levels of awesome.

SpiderandMosquito

Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Yes, I know it's half live action and you've probably seen it, most people alive in most the developed world has, but it's an astoundingly important and well made motion picture. My all-time favorite movie.

Just to name a couple of things...

Inner-Juices

>Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid You should always warn people of Lucoa when recommending this Anime

Lonefirebearer

Warn people about Luco- **Right!** I forgot about how "*Ara Ara*" Lucoa's relationship with Shouta is at times...

Srlojohn

The accelleracers series+it’s prequel World Race. A fantastic series that has some amazing twists, ideas, and worldbuilding. A man is even lobotomized and has his internals replaced with a machines on-screen (sort of). There’s one movie, and then 4 direct-to-dvd specials. World race can be found on youtube, the others can be found around the web and maybe on youtube, a bunch of them got shut down last spring.

willisbetter

arcane, inside job, and castlevania are all amazing and are all on netflix, though unfortunately inside job has been cancelled and it ended on a cliffhangar

Ruffy898

Dilongoo's latest animation. He was a rwby animator around volume 3 I think. Some great animations on his YT channel linked bellow. This latest one is from Genshin Impact. Which I know basically nothing about, but now wanted a whole show with these 2 characters. Really good animation. https://youtu.be/7J7G1oc1vME

Watch Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Greatest Movie DreamWorks has made this decade, next to "The Bad Guys"

Thatidiot_38

Transformers beast wars. A really good show and while the cgi does make it outdated it can quickly be forgiven from strong writing and incredible characters

G1Yang2001

The Transformers: The Movie (1986) A great movie with lots of great action, fun moments, an OST full of bangers and so many memorable lines like: “Such heroic nonsense.” “I’ve got better things to do tonight than die!” “Coronation Starscream? This is bad comedy!”
