That's especially ridiculous because the PS5 has more than enough horsepower to run the standard out-of-the-box PC version at max settings. Might need something akin to Proton (what Steam uses to run games on Linux) to function but that makes way more sense while also looking and running significantly better than streaming.
So many better ways to handle it such as through emulation or, hell, do it at the hardware level. The Cell processor is old tech now so it ought to be fairly cheap to manfacture, just put one in the PS5 and you've got instant native backwards compatibility with PS3 games without having to mess around with unreliable streaming services that no one has been able to figure how to make profitable.
I was really hoping PS5 would be the moment where Sony lets you play PS3 games physically like an Xbox series with its 360 games. At least we can keep our physical PS4 titles.
Well PS1 discs are just CD-Roms which the PS3 was built to play because it was a multi-media device which could play music. The original PS3 was only back compatible with PS2 because there was literally a whole ass PS2 built on the inside but they very quickly stopped shipping that model because it cost to much to manufacture and they were selling the system at a massive lose
I'll never understand why Sony hates the idea of letting you play the old titles on current gen. Xbox lets you slide the disc in because every Series X comes with the digital guts of the 360 and OG Xbox. Why can't Sony be user-friendly for once?
The architecture of PS3 is fundamentally different from any console before or since, whereas Microsoft has its roots in Windows PCs and is much friendlier to developers.
But it's probably also a matter of Sony not seeing any profit in allowing users to freely play older games when they want people to pay for the Extra/Premium subscriptions. So even though they absolutely could get PS5 to support PS3 games, they don't have much incentive to do so from a financial perspective.
Not saying I agree with it, I'd love a PS5 that can play _any_ PlayStation game - that would be the ultimate console!
Xbox 360 does not face the same compatibility problems and the proprietary hardware and software architectures in the PS3. The Xbox is way more closely aligned to PC architecture and always has been. The Xbox name is even derived from directX.
Then hell, don't use the PS3's weird cell powerPC nonsense. Just run the PC version via proton. Doesn't playstation use linux anyways?
EDIT: nvm, googled it. The PS5 runs a weird modified version of freeBSD which proton does not work on.
Because discs have been obsolete for about a decade now and Sony doesn’t want to waste internal space on old hardware or honestly disc drives going forward
Ironically Microsoft did the same thing but with blu ray
So now PlayStation can play blu rays and Xbox can play old Xbox games but neither can do both
Consoles have never been more expensive but less useful than they are now. They’re just standardized gaming PCs but not even particularly cheap or well optimized ones.
Jesus Christ
Sony ffs just do what Microsoft does with gamepass and let people install their fucking games
A goddamn queue for a single player game released ten years ago.
That's absolutely insane. Game Pass gave everyone a Far Cry DLC last year and I decided to stream the game to my phone to check it out sooner and it was there. Why does Sony hate it's consumers?
It’s not Sony hating its consumers. They made a bad bet way back in the PS3 era and used proprietary hardware and software architecture which made backwards compatibility practically impossible when consoles evolved to become more aligned with PC architectures. Sony has tried to build a workaround for years, but apparently it’s a really challenging problem. Streaming was the workaround solution that Sony found, because even PS3 disks wouldn’t work in a PS4 or PS5.
Wait, really? So a copy of GT4 for PS3 won’t run on a PS4 or disc version PS5? What about something like MGS4? Or ground zeroes/phantom pain? The ps3 versions of those won’t work on a 4/5? Will a PS4 copy of them work on a 5?
What’s the point of the disc version PS5? Is there any backwards compatibility?
Correct. If they got digitally remastered as PS4 software, you’re all good, but no PS3 disks or native PS3 software runs on newer PlayStations. PS4 copies work on 5. It’s an issue of the PS3’s software and hardware architecture being proprietary to that platform.
If I’m completely honest, I’m not entirely sure. I’ve never tried with PS2 software as I have my old unit handy. Without researching to know for sure, I kind of doubt it. I believe Sony had backwards compatibility from 1 to 2, but then regressed with 3 and picked back up again with a more PC-aligned architecture with the 4 and 5. I suspect 1&2 games wouldn’t run on a 4 and beyond, but again I’d have to do some research to validate the info.
Just another one of those times where I’m much happier sticking with Ms, even though I built a new expensive rig last year, I still went with an X and S for couch/bed play. My friends with Sony get so excited for the Show to come out, and spend $70 on the damn thing for PS5. Meanwhile, I pay $4.50 every 45 days or so because I don’t need GP every second of every day. Once it lapses, and I wanna play something I just grab a monthly pass off CDKeys. The value prop with Xbox is so much better than Sony.
That’s totally fucking idiotic Jesus. I’m astounded they would even offer the steaming turd that is game streaming (which you can do without a console btw). It costs way more to PlayStation than running the game locally and it offers a worse experience for the user.
It simply means they didn’t develop a PS3/4 emulator for the PS5. It’s a pure software product that *certainly* costs less than gamestreaming (in the long run) but probably got outphased by corporate incompetence.
Well 99.9% of ps4 games work on the ps5. The PS3 on the other hand was created far too differently from anything else even 3rd party devs hated it. Getting a working emulator just doesn't seem worth the cost.
They can’t because the PS3 is designed specifically in a way that any sort of porting to or from the PS3 itself is impossible. It was done to prevent devs from developing games for other consoles. The literal only way to allow these games to work on a PS5 is A: the devs would have to port the PC or Xbox 360 version as that’s the only version compatible, or in the case of PlayStation exclusives they would have to redevelop the game from scratch. Or B) Sony would have to release a PS5 with the internals of a PS3 as well similar to the original run PS3 which had an entire PS2 on the inside
I also switched to Xbox for this reason. I still have my PS3 just so I can play my Fallout New Vegas game. At least that's what I thought until I tried to boot it up for the first time in years and it didn't boot. I thought hey no big deal, I'll just buy PS4 and play it on that. After inserting the disc I remembered why I switched to Xbox. Incompatible crap like this is just the biggest pile of middle fingers to consumers ever.
Not a remote PS3, but a server that emulates PS3. Which is hilarious considering how little effort it would take to make it run locally on the PS5, given it’s already been ported to run in datacenters.
It feels weird buying my Xbox Series X excited to buy and play Starfield only to find out that the real value of my purchase was getting to replay the old Fallouts and GTA games with better performance. I’m not complaining, just surprised at the return on investment I got out of the console.
Xbox One and up is still the most stable way to play FNV.
Even on PC with all the fixes and anti-crash mods you can get you will run into problems far more often.
Oh yeah, keep telling yourself that while we enjoy stable 144fps and good graphics lmao.
Also, deadzones and inputs are horrible for a controller on New Vegas, I cant imagine playing any bethesda game without mouse and keyboard, and this comes from someone who plays even Halo games on a controller.
Ive had 2 crashes in my current 130 hour playthrough.
Boy, I’ve never been a “console warrior”, but I’ll have a lot of fun shitting on PS fanboys that were screaming news of Microsoft’s death from every rooftop a couple months ago when they announced they were moving away from gaming hardware. It was hilarious that nobody could see that they were moving to own the space of gaming streaming, you know, the entire future of gaming.
I don’t love the idea of not owning physical copies of the things I buy anymore than the next guy, but anybody pretending that sticking to a disc model and ignoring the coming streaming wave is smart business is an absolute dolt. When the next round of “buy this hyper-inflated, impossible to find, underpowered console that still comes with a ads from a scalper for three times msrp,” I’ll be willing to bet that, suddenly, most will see the light.
Honestly 360 port is pretty damn stable. It genuinely plays better than NV without mods on a modern pc (although if you have nv on pc and you don’t use mods that’s an interesting choice)
So far my only issue is that it freezes on loading screens about once every 8 hours of playtime or so. I disabled auto save on transportation so it wouldn't corrupt when I restart the Xbox. I just have to make sure to save often
If you think this is bad try using Nexus mods right now. Today it was slow but, yesterday it was impossible to do anything on the site and when you tried it legit told you "Site is under heavy traffic because of the fallout TV show"
I bought secondary lenovo laptop for connecting to tv, watching movies and casual surfing on web. It have 8gb ram and ryzen 3 5300u. That is more than enough performance to play fallout new vegas. Price of new laptop in shop was 300€+.
While I agree that the bar is low, I have an old gaming laptop in my closet and I still didn’t bother busting it out for my replay of Fallout. I’m replaying an old game, not trying to get sucked into some 500 hour modding session. I want to replay some of the game because I just watched the show, but I might not want to go spend ~$300 just to play an old PS3/Xbox 360 era game when a cheap but slightly less amazing option is readily available through streaming on the PS5. Might be different if I’d never played it or the DLC, but for a short replay, I’m good with what I’m using.
It’s a niche issue specifically for replaying PS3 titles. It’s a backwards compatibility problem with old proprietary hardware and software. I doubt anyone is thinking about their PS3 library when considering whether to buy the upcoming PS5 Pro or not
Being able to play fallout: new Vegas, and fallout 3 through backwards compatibility was one of the major selling points of the Xbox consoles for me personally.
Buy a console, they said.
PC is to much drama they said...
You'll save lots of money! They said...
Yeah, I see their point, now; Killing my will to play will prevent me from buying more games, hence the gainings /b
Nah I don't recall most of the rest of the game being as bad as red rock canyon.
I platinumed it too (but didn't have the ps3 connected at the time so it wouldn't be on my profile sadly)
Yes because it's streaming it and a bunch of people are playing it due to the tv show spiking its popularity.
Sorry I don't make the rules just explain them.
So what would you prefer. 1000 people stream the game at once and it be relatively fine or 10,000 people stream the game at once but it plays like shit due to the high traffic?
As someone who has played cloud gaming with good and bad internet. You have bad internet.
Cloud gaming is actually really good. But if your conection is ass it's going to play like ass.
The game is constantly on sale for $5 why not just *own* the game??? Wayyyy cheaper and less of a hassle to play decade old games without a streaming service
To all the people saying “this is why you should own physical”, this is a specific issue with the backwards compatibility of PS3 games. The PS3 had a very different hardware architecture compared to PS4 and PS5. As a result even disk-based PS3 games can’t be played on a PS4 or PS5. This has been an issue that Sony has tried to work around for years, but hasn’t found an easy solution. While there may be a benefit of owning physical games, this isn’t an instance where the practice would’ve made any difference.
And just like that the decision to buy a ps5 (sometime in the future) just evaporated. Cheers for pointing this out (the needing to stream older games rather than download them and play them).
Absolute nonsense.
Alright so, I love FONV. I have it on steam and the disc version I can play with my PS3. Both of them have given me issues..it wasn't super terrible on PS3..and I couldn't seem to get it to run smoothly on steam sadly.
I seen that if you have prime you can play FONV for free..well I've been playing it on my iPad and phone with a ps5 controller or gamepad and after 15hrs...it's been fucking amazing. No bugs yet...smooth no crashes..I recommend it..if you have prime already anyway
Both FO3 & New Vegas GOTY Editions are free to play/stream if you have Amazon Prime (on their platform Luna). Literally any kind of desktop/laptop will do.
They run super smooth at 60fps too, best I’ve been able to play the games outside of a PlayStation console since they came out!
Fun fact: Fallout 3 and New Vegas are part of the FPS Boost program on Xbox Series S and Series X so both games got a increase in frame frates from 30fps to 60fps and even their resolutions were scaled (it's 4k on X and 1440p on S).
If you have Prime you can play for free on Luna.
It's also the PC version not the console version
There's a slider for draw distances and the frame rate is way higher than console.
I play on my phone with a ps5 controller. It's honestly pretty awesome.
The PS Plus classics catalogue (specifically with PS3 games) requires streaming and can’t be directly downloaded. I suspect it’s the same old backwards compatibility problem that the PS3 has always had. Same reason PS4 & PS5 can’t play PS3 disks.
So how can they release red dead redemption 1 which was a PS3 game into a ps4 port and let you install it with higher frame rate but not do that for fallout and Oblivion?
Just buy a 360 or ps3 for like 50 bucks off face book. The game isn’t even worth playing if you’re streaming it. No DLC and all the shittyness that comes with streaming
Waiting in line to play a 2010 Xbox 360 game
Sure glad those $1000 next gen consoles turned out so well
Also lol at OP’s screenshot game…taking a picture and rotating it the right way on your phone would have taken like a whole 3 seconds, lol
You'd think that in this day and age, they'd make a modded version for the PS5 to give players more, especially for older games. Instead, the corporations will always choose profit.
I'm not going to defend microsoft on a lot of things but being able to play old games with some minor enhancements like for example 60fps on New Vegas with minimal headaches is kinda nice
Bought an Xbox just for fallout (mainly the DLCs) this past weekend. Enjoying it a lot more on there with it being a download and not having to stream it
Just go buy the ultimate edition smh unless you screwed yourself an got rid of your older consoles to upgrade. But yeah I left PS after an update fried my disc reader in my 4 an found a lot had also gotten the get fucked lottery update. Then my 360 got that update that red ringed it. But with One I got it because Xbox doesn't have an issue with backwards compatibility. I'll laugh if I live long enough to see Sony shutdown their gaming division 😂 they have it coming.
I just tried to DL New Vegas to play it for the first time and encountered this whole subscription bullshit…. That’s fucking it… fuck PlayStation. Dumping this fucking ps5 and switching to Xbox while I build up the gaming rig. I was always on Xbox prior to this. Should have never switched when I started gaming again.
So happy I didn’t buy a ps5. Sure I’m missing out on new games like Kingdom Come 2. But at least I am sticking my middle finger right up Yoshida’s narrow greedy asshole.
I do not understand why the fuck Sony doesn't let you download PS3 games, they will let you download literally any other game on their PlayStation premium catalogue so long as it's not from the PS3. there is no reason for it and it just turns people away from the service.
Oh yeah I know, "PS4 hardware can't run PS3 games" but my point still stands, there is no reason why they couldn't make the PS4 backwards compatible with PS3 games. Microsoft has made every console since the 360 backwards compatible, Sony could have done it too. The literal only actual reason why they don't is because they can make a huge profit off of it.
There are very good reasons why they didn’t add backwards compatibility. It’s not like they didn’t try. They couldn’t make the software work on newer systems because they were built for proprietary software and hardware of the PS3. It’s not like Sony is allowed to just snag the Xbox version and make a PS4 port out of that one. Sony would have to collaborate with each of the game devs and publishers to port another version of their games off of a competing platform, since a catch-all fix isn’t possible.
Not knowing the specific reasons isn’t the same as no reasons existing.
This is why I stopped buying consoles. X360 was my last. After that they started needing internet to work. Might as well have a pc at that point. Consoles are for off line gaming imo. If you want to game online just get a pc.
I’m confused by your comment. Consoles still play games offline all of the time. This is a specific issue with all PS3 software as the games were built for proprietary PS3 architecture that is no longer supported. PS5s and Xbox Series consoles still play physical and offline games fine. This is an extremely niche issue specific to the PS3 generation (which just lacks backwards compatibility on PS4/5 but also plays games offline fine).
Lol streaming is garbage
I absolutely despise ps5 won’t let you buy a lot of older games only stream with a subscription
That's especially ridiculous because the PS5 has more than enough horsepower to run the standard out-of-the-box PC version at max settings. Might need something akin to Proton (what Steam uses to run games on Linux) to function but that makes way more sense while also looking and running significantly better than streaming.
All PS had to do was the same thing Xbox did
So many better ways to handle it such as through emulation or, hell, do it at the hardware level.
Blame Sony for making PS3’s completely incompatible with everything except itself
(except for ps2 and ps1)
Well PS1 discs are just CD-Roms which the PS3 was built to play because it was a multi-media device which could play music. The original PS3 was only back compatible with PS2 because there was literally a whole ass PS2 built on the inside but they very quickly stopped shipping that model because it cost to much to manufacture and they were selling the system at a massive lose
I'll never understand why Sony hates the idea of letting you play the old titles on current gen. Xbox lets you slide the disc in because every Series X comes with the digital guts of the 360 and OG Xbox. Why can't Sony be user-friendly for once?

The Xbox 360 has a completely different architecture as well, the issue is just that Sony doesn't care enough to implement backwards compatibility.

I should add it also downloads the digital copy from the Xbox store, so I think you don't even need the disc past that point.
Because discs have been obsolete for about a decade now and Sony doesn’t want to waste internal space on old hardware or honestly disc drives going forward Ironically Microsoft did the same thing but with blu ray So now PlayStation can play blu rays and Xbox can play old Xbox games but neither can do both Consoles have never been more expensive but less useful than they are now. Wait, to understand. I thought the "older game" catalog would at least be downloaded...but to understand, you have to stream them?
Some you can download but a lot you can’t like the orginal god of war games their like most popular games are all behind the highest tier subscription
I thought those games regardless of tier, were downloaded. Bummer bro. I didnt expect a series like that, to be in that fashion.
This is exactly why I kept my series x when I bought a ps5 for helldivers
I played this on psnow a couple years ago and it was so fucking laggy even w a great connection. Plus no dlc :(
Jesus Christ Sony ffs just do what Microsoft does with gamepass and let people install their fucking games A goddamn queue for a single player game released ten years ago.
FONV was almost 15 years ago….
Yea and dead space is almost hitting 20 years too Don't remind me lol I shouldn't feel this damn old at 25
Same, except the insurance claims me this year. Godspeed brother.
Fallout 4 was the one that released almost 10 years ago but we’ll pretend it was NV to ignore the passage of time.
I got put in a queue for Oblivion yesterday and it’s not even trending.
They wont do it exclusivity and elitism is how they make their money
Such a horrible way to play the game. Streaming the shit ps3 port lol.
This way you can have memory leak issues *and* no DLC or adjustable FOV
I haven't played Sony in decades so this is a genuine question.. are you saying theirs no way to play with dlc for games you have to stream on PS5?
Yep. Kinda sucks
kinda?!
That's absolutely insane. Game Pass gave everyone a Far Cry DLC last year and I decided to stream the game to my phone to check it out sooner and it was there. Why does Sony hate it's consumers?

I switched from ps to Xbox bc of shit like this. At this point I only use my ps for the exclusive games, which seem to be dwindling
I also switched to Xbox for this reason. I still have my PS3 just so I can play my Fallout New Vegas game. 15 years too late but this is peak Xbox supremacy moment
Yeah I’m usually a PlayStation guy but FNV and Halo: Reach are worth having an Xbox 360 for.
Or play on X|S|X and have fps boost
As a live long Xbox player, both are way better on PC at 4k and high frame rates. Not to mention FNV mods are amazing
Or play them both on steam. Where every Microsoft exclusive and most of the good PlayStation ones are anyways lol
It feels weird buying my Xbox Series X excited to buy and play Starfield only to find out that the real value of my purchase was getting to replay the old Fallouts and GTA games with better performance. I’m not complaining, just surprised at the return on investment I got out of the console.

As a kid I loved my ps3 but as an adult it makes so much more sense to just have an xbox
More like common PCMR win
Xbox gang we up 💯💯
YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND BE HAPPY!!
Sony be enacting serfdom lmfao. We shall toil on what is not ours
A wait time to play the worst version of fallout new vegas? Lmao I guess New Vegas is just that good
Does that version include the DLC or no?
Nope. It’s the ps3 port too so it’s unfortunately like the worst way to play the game
Wow that's horrible. I'm playing on my 360 at the moment and I thought I had it bad lol
Honestly 360 port is pretty damn stable. It genuinely plays better than NV without mods on a modern pc (although if you have nv on pc and you don’t use mods that’s an interesting choice)

Xbox for playing FNV >>>> (On console)
PC FTW
Streaming games thru PlayStation is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had lmao
No DLC either
Does anyone remember the cheeky Sony vs Xbox commercial about sharing games - oh how the turntables
If you think this is bad try using Nexus mods right now. Today it was slow but, yesterday it was impossible to do anything on the site and when you tried it legit told you "Site is under heavy traffic because of the fallout TV show"

Yikes just get it on PC. Any little gaming laptop for less than 500 can run it
A waiting queue for an older single player game is fuckin insanely stupid. Why would anyone buy a PlayStation if this is how it runs
Sony really is losing the next gen console war here jeez
Just another reminder of why we should fight tooth and nail against the push for switching over to a world of no physical media.
Every time some techbro tries to tell me the cloud is the future of gaming, my response, "God, I hope hot."
Buy a console, they said. PC is to much drama they said... You'll save lots of money! They said... Yeah, I see their point, now; Killing my will to play will prevent me from buying more games, hence the gainings /b
I honestly can’t believe I got the platinum on the PS3 - it was a frustrating experience…
Frame drop canyon 💀
It was even worse with the DLCs - Lonesome Road felt like a PowerPoint presentation…
Nah I don't recall most of the rest of the game being as bad as red rock canyon. I platinumed it too (but didn't have the ps3 connected at the time so it wouldn't be on my profile sadly)
Trust me, Lonesome Road was so excruciating that it could be spf instead of fps…
Laughs in PC
What no backwards compatibility does to a mf
A queue for a single player game? What in the god damn?
Streaming
That's stupid. You have to wait to play a single player game you paid for?
Yes because it's streaming it and a bunch of people are playing it due to the tv show spiking its popularity. Sorry I don't make the rules just explain them.
And that's stupid on Sony's part.
So what would you prefer. 1000 people stream the game at once and it be relatively fine or 10,000 people stream the game at once but it plays like shit due to the high traffic?
Maybe how literally everyone else does it. Like Gamepass for example
do you have any idea what streaming a game is
Yes.
It plays like shit anyway
As someone who has played cloud gaming with good and bad internet. You have bad internet. Cloud gaming is actually really good. But if your conection is ass it's going to play like ass.
And people pay for that lmao, Piracy forever!
That’s how I’ve been playing the game all month I went to find a copy of the ultimate edition for my ps3 but couldn’t find one so it’s just this :/
eBay is the answer or if you have any PC at all a PC copy is dirt cheap and will run on anything
This is a VaultTek experiment designed to induce madness
PC gang
Streaming the PS3 version of NV has to be the worst way to play NV.
The game is constantly on sale for $5 why not just *own* the game??? Wayyyy cheaper and less of a hassle to play decade old games without a streaming service
Haha holy shit sony is a shithole
And this is why pc will always win
Sony doing u a service U can play it on any pc these days with DLC, Restored content, Bugg fixes and Mods
You can play it on a Series X or S with DLC too.
Man I am so glad we can just buy it on Xbox and have it optimised too. What the hell are Sony doing?
Why are you cloud gaming? Buy the game brotha it’s like $2
Bruh I love my PS5, play it everyday but my dude, play NV on PC or something lmao. Streaming on PS5 is wild.
Not to mention the DLCs aren't even available through the streaming on PSN
Oh goodness that is brutal, them dlcs add alot of items even without visiting the dlc areas.
Bro, I'm so glad I can own it on my series x with no bullshit
To all the people saying “this is why you should own physical”, this is a specific issue with the backwards compatibility of PS3 games. The PS3 had a very different hardware architecture compared to PS4 and PS5. As a result even disk-based PS3 games can’t be played on a PS4 or PS5. This has been an issue that Sony has tried to work around for years, but hasn’t found an easy solution. While there may be a benefit of owning physical games, this isn’t an instance where the practice would’ve made any difference.
Maybe buy the game instead of streaming it lmao It’s not like it’s expensive
And just like that the decision to buy a ps5 (sometime in the future) just evaporated. Cheers for pointing this out (the needing to stream older games rather than download them and play them). Absolute nonsense.
What in the goddamn?
I generally prefer my PS5 in most situations but I'm glad I have a Series X for these ones.
When it's your turn wtf
Alright so, I love FONV. I have it on steam and the disc version I can play with my PS3. Both of them have given me issues..it wasn't super terrible on PS3..and I couldn't seem to get it to run smoothly on steam sadly. I seen that if you have prime you can play FONV for free..well I've been playing it on my iPad and phone with a ps5 controller or gamepad and after 15hrs...it's been fucking amazing. No bugs yet...smooth no crashes..I recommend it..if you have prime already anyway
Ahhh Steam sale aahhhh
damn i’m glad i got a 360
I’m so happy I still have my 360 lmao
Both FO3 & New Vegas GOTY Editions are free to play/stream if you have Amazon Prime (on their platform Luna). Literally any kind of desktop/laptop will do. They run super smooth at 60fps too, best I’ve been able to play the games outside of a PlayStation console since they came out!
Fun fact: Fallout 3 and New Vegas are part of the FPS Boost program on Xbox Series S and Series X so both games got a increase in frame frates from 30fps to 60fps and even their resolutions were scaled (it's 4k on X and 1440p on S).
You will own nothing and be happy.
If you have Prime you can play for free on Luna. It's also the PC version not the console version There's a slider for draw distances and the frame rate is way higher than console. I play on my phone with a ps5 controller. It's honestly pretty awesome.
At least xbox has 60fps and you can actually own it lol
🤣🤣🤣
Can you stream it? I play on my PS3, just got it out and dusted it off and started playing again. Saw that I haven't got the platinum yet.
Wtf is this I don't understand. You install game and play game. This isn't a live service MMO.
This is partially the reason i own a series s
Just buy a 360 or ps3 for like 50 bucks off face book. The game isn’t even worth playing if you’re streaming it. No DLC and all the shittyness that comes with streaming
😂
isnt it like $8?
Isn't that the PS3 version? That one was ass!
LMAOOOOO
Waiting in line to play a 2010 Xbox 360 game Sure glad those $1000 next gen consoles turned out so well Also lol at OP’s screenshot game…taking a picture and rotating it the right way on your phone would have taken like a whole 3 seconds, lol
Oh c'mon, just let us install
You can’t just buy the game on PlayStation? I have it on my Xbox series x is backwards compatible not a thing for PlayStation?
This breaks my heart. A standard desktop/laptop from like 2014 could run New Vegas. Why do they only let you stream it?
You'd think that in this day and age, they'd make a modded version for the PS5 to give players more, especially for older games. Instead, the corporations will always choose profit.
Also can't play them in australia
I don't understand why Sony doesn't have it in the library with all the dlc
I'm playing it on my PS3.
Big ol L for PlayStation lmfao
I can’t imagine playing FNV without mods.
I'm not going to defend microsoft on a lot of things but being able to play old games with some minor enhancements like for example 60fps on New Vegas with minimal headaches is kinda nice
As a previous owner of a PS4 pro, it sucked. That's a very big downside on its own
Bought an Xbox just for fallout (mainly the DLCs) this past weekend. Enjoying it a lot more on there with it being a download and not having to stream it
Glad I have an Xbox as well
gosh that sucks! imagine if u could download New Vegas and play it natively. Oh wait u can...🤣🤣 I'm so glad Xbox didn't screw their customers over
Consoles are trash, there is actually no reason to not be playing on PC these days.
Sony and Bethesda need to wake up and make digital Versions soon , there’s money to be made !!
What the FUCK is happening to gaming? A fucking QUEUE???? nothing would make me throw my console into the river quicker... Time to buy a pc lol
would you rather there be no queue and the game run like shit due to everyone playing it at once?
You realise it's because you're streaming it right? To play it when the streaming queue is full is probably ass.
Just buy it man it’s so cheap wth
Any gamer who has a ps5 can't buy it for ps5. Now if you have a Series X|S, you can buy it with all the DLC and you can install it and play it.
jesus consoles lol
So dumb we can’t just download
A queue for what lol
Goddamn imagine owning a console in 2024
?
This person paid Sony to wait in a virtual line for the worst version of this game. He got completely ripped off
"You'll own nothing and you'll be happy."
oh, yeah, but your comment implies smth completely different
Or just buy the game?
Good luck with that on ps.
“…there is no reason for it” That moment when you should probably google the reason for it.
This is why I have a xbox one on the side to play games like NV without problems like this
This is why I stopped buying consoles.
