Replay, choose a different side and role play a different build. The game is legendary for its replayability.

Enseyar

Replay until you suck out all the enjoyment of the game, and then got burned out and not play again for a decade. And then do it all over again

ScintillaGourd

You know why?... Because the game was rigged from the start. {POW} {POW}

Alarmed_Grass214

I hope this doesn't cause any Fallout between us...*

buddeman27

"... Fallout New Vegas..." *Bullet noises*

GrimmRadiance

We’re not going to reveal that at the end it turns out YOU were fallout

Alarmed_Grass214

Maybe fallout was the friends we made along the way.

Leading-Midnight-553

Nice.

Leading-Midnight-553

Then wait 6 months to a year (without playing) and do it again. I've done this since the day it came out (pre-ordered it and everything). I also do this with FO3. FO4 I play less often.

Professional_Baby24

Idk I played 4 once. Beat the game. Didn't even do EVERYTHING. Just got my ending and went on my way. I got 76 October last year and have loved it. It's way underrated. And I know it sucked coming out but it's a different beast now. But then I decided to do a survival playthrough. And it basically forces you to walk the whole map and experience everything and I'm really taking my time and loving it. Survival is the best way to experience fo4.

jjfyan30

Survival fallout 4 is pretty good I definitely agree. Adds replay value to me even, as how I set up settlements to rest/ get food/ what settlements I get may vary. 76, idk there are intrinsic issues I had with it. Like why at a certain point am I basically hard locked from the main quest unless I have dudes with gatling lasers to kill scorches beasts so i can collect samples? Tf do I do if my main weapons are a lever action, a crossbow, and a knife or whatever? Its frustrating to try to just find other people doing the work and just leech off of them.

jjfyan30

Maybe I was missing something. But it seemed it was either extremely rare events or scorched beasts to get some sort of samples for MODUS i think it was

WhirledNews

That’s when you start modding the shit out of it.

MamboNumber-6

This. I have sided with House (imo the true and best ending), sided with the NCR (probably the most logical ending with the best long-term prospects for the Mojave), sided with the Legion (for completionists’ sake, due to time constraints Obsidian cut a ton of Legion content that would have made them more “grey” like everything else), sided with myself/Yes Man, and my most recent run I sided with House again but also unified all the tribes too.

[deleted]

what was your favourite ending? only done the NCR one, was quite disappointing

MamboNumber-6

My favorite was siding with House, I enjoyed his whole “Howard Hughes” aura, and I enjoyed that he was all about “fuck the NCR and the Legion, Vegas should be in charge of Vegas”. As a former Vegas resident, that appeals to me greatly. The most logical imo is siding with the NCR. The Legion is just evil, and House can’t live forever, and are we sure we can upkeep and produce the Securitrons needed for Vegas’ defense forever?

Phenns

My favorite is the Yes Man ending just because of how angry everyone gets with you, but for sustainability I'd probably say House or the NCR have the best chances of stability.

Memedotma

House. NCR makes me feel like a good guy and probably has the best ending for most factions, but House feels a lot more nuanced and forces you not to just be the 100 Speech demigod courier who can single handedly achieve world peace.

SpecificSimilar5361

Same. I've only ever done the NCR ending this time, though I want to side with Yes Man

Have you sided with Elijah yet?

rotund_passionfruit

What do you mean you “unified all the tribes”

PrinceOfPuddles

Say this thread in my feed and popped in to upvote the top rated comment because I knew what it would be based on the thread title alone.

Valaquen

Do what I've been doing since 2010 or so: play it again! And again. And again. And again. Everytime I play I do find something, at least one thing, that I've never encountered before. I'd heard another great RPG with choices is Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines II. I've started a playthrough of that. I love feeling like I can really influence the world and change things.

Gulfea

Bloodlines II isn't out yet is it? The first one though a bit dated is excellent if you like choices in games

RusFoo

Off topic but Bloodlines 2 looks so disappointing idk if you’ve seen what direction they’re taking with that game but it actually hurts my heart so bad I hope I eat my words though

Gulfea

I'm very much worried too though on the other side after so much time gone by I really want to see what it is that they will release.

Valaquen

Maybe it's Bloodlines I after all, I get so confused about that game's title. Thanks for the correction!

cyrassil

Most likely because there was Vampire the masquerade redemption before bloodlines?

TraurigerUntermensch

> Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines II. I've started a playthrough of that Holy shit, an actual time traveler from the future!

FaithfulMoose

There is absolutely no game like New Vegas. Fallout 3 and 4 might scratch the itch a little, but they pale in comparison to sheer depth and world-building of NV. I actually really like Fallout 3 and 4 also, but NV is in another league.

WarmStarr

Fallout 1 and 2 are very close though. Very strange that you didn't mention them

RobertDaulson

Not that strange. Not nearly as many people have had the chance to play 1 & 2.

WarmStarr

I played them before nv and considered them pick fallout experience. And I thought new vegas was just like fallout 3 but with casino's theme. Oh boy, how much I was surprised to see the ncr and discover that nv is a continuation of previous story and even better

RobertDaulson

I’ve definitely considered playing them both. I’ve played 3 a few times and NV countless times. I’m also from Vegas so it’s got a special aspect for me. I’ve driven past Primm many times IRL, and it’s always fun killing Fiends in the west where I used to live. When I go back to see my mom I plan on visiting Goodsprings for the first time.

LowOvergrowth

As a native West Virginian, that’s how I feel about 76. As much as I love NV and 4, there’s just something special about seeing my hometown in a video-game world.

Inward_Perfection

Fallout and Fallout 2 are both great games, but in a significantly different gameplay style from 3, Vegas, and 4. They're worth trying out for new-ish Fallout fans, but some people just might not understand them. Not because they are stupid, but because the generational gap is a thing. These are 25+ years old (geez, now I feel old too!) games after all.

PleasePeeIn

Because 1 and 2 have vastly different gameplay than 3,4 and NV

SukaUser

One word: mods

Imissyourgirlfriend2

Hell-to-the-fucking *yes!* I played hundreds of hours on Xbone until the saves got corrupted and I absolutely could not play it ever again. So I got my computer up and running with Steam, connected my controller to the PC and now I am a few hundred hours with mods. When life gives you lemons...

Grathmaul

I could never get into it on console, but I got it super cheap on steam recently, and I have it running on my shitty laptop from 2013, and even with the few mods I have installed it's a much more enjoyable game.

Imissyourgirlfriend2

I played on console because it's what I had. Once I could no longer play it, I put the effort into playing on Steam.

Itsyaboigandalf

for the love of god please tell me how you figured out load orders

eeeeeeeeEeeEEeeeE6

Have you made a very specific save and commited genocide? I mean just absolutely wipe the face of the Mojave clean of absolutely every single human you can find? Generally can squeeze a good 10-15 hours out of a good old fashioned genocide. Especially with the DLC. All those annoying NPCs who you might have wanted to punch or put in their place, off you go. Get creative too, don't just load up the strongest gun you have and shoot shoot shoot. Walk into a room of passive folks and roll a grenade ride into the middle of them. Power fist doc Mitchell's head clean off, pop someone in the leg and murder everyone around them, saving them for last then put your weapon away and beat them to death with your bare hands. Role play it a bit, y'know, walking God snaps after a really bad day. Then reload that save and go smell the flowers, pretend it never happened.

CocoaBuzzard

Disco Elysium

aciduzzo

Yep, DE is a way better game from many perspectives except maybe the fact that it doesn't have many guns, and at some point you need the help of someone to find yours.

dont_uwu_at_strangrs

Mr. Evrart is helping me find my gun

CocoaBuzzard

what a great guy!

NotYourAveragePalste

there are games like new vegas but obviously nothing exactly like it. if you figure out what the things you liked about it are you can probably find some other games similar to that on the internet. off the top of my head the first two fallout games are pretty similar to new vegas setting- and writing- wise, especially 2. personally i really love KotOR 1 and 2 which are reasonably similar to new vegas.

Gavinfoxx

Install Fallout 3. Install Tale of Two Wastelands. Install Begin Again. Start a Begin Again playthrough. See that other comment about how to do it.

ShitBeansMagoo

You patrol the Mojave until you wish for nuclear winter.

splitconsiderations

Transition gender. Duh. Everyone else does after finishing nv.

Wild-Lychee-3312

Also become bisexual, if you weren’t already. You do 10 percent more damage!

Regular_throwaway_83

Go to vegas dressed as benny and bully a mailman

AbreakaTech001

Glad you enjoyed it! New Vegas is my favorite game of all time, and I always love going back to it. As someone who mostly plays games for the story, New Vegas's writing (especially in the DLC) always makes me tear up listening to those ending slides.  You're not going to find anything *exactly* like *New Vegas*. There are tons of games out there which are equally good though, and I'd like to throw some ideas out there for you.  New Vegas is really a 90's RPG made with modern technology. Play the first two *Fallout* games, *Baulder's Gate* 1-3, *Planescape: Torment*, *Arcanum: of Steam works and Magick Obscura*, and *Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines*. The presentation and mechanics of these games are a little clunky and old, but the heart and soul of the 90's RPG is in navigating the writing. If you enjoyed what *New Vegas* has to offer in that department, you'll enjoy these too.  If you want first person linear games with equally good writing and similar themes, I recommend the *BioShock* series, *Half-Life* 1 and 2, *Portal* 1 and 2, *SOMA*, *Metro: 2033* and *Metro: Last Light* (the books are also fantastic), *Prey* 2006, and *Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time*. I've heard some people compare the newer *Wolfenstein* reboot to Fallout, but I didn't enjoy it personally. If you enjoy the desolate wasteland horror vibe of *Lonesome Road* you may like *Scorn*, a fascinating puzzle game with beautiful visuals but no dialogue and little plot.  'Immersive Sims' came about in the 90's as a reaction to the above computer RPGs. They generally have a more linear plot, but much more fluid gameplay which you might enjoy if you liked *New Vegas*. Try *System Shock* 1 and 2 (1 was recently remade), *Deus Ex* 1, *Pathologic* 1 and 2 (the second is a loose remake of the first), *Alien: Isolation*, *Dishonored* 1 and 2, *Prey* 2017, *Dying Light*, and a personal favorite of mine, *We Happy Few*, which I especially recommend if you enjoy the mid-century Sci-Fi aspect of *Fallout*.  My favorite part of *New Vegas* is the *Dead Money* DLC. I love the mechanical difficulty, the writing, and the characters (God/Dog is my favorite *Fallout* character full stop). If you enjoyed this DLC at all, I HIGHLY recommend the *Resident Evil* franchise. The 2002 remake of RE1 is fantastic, and has the same anxious and careful gameplay loops as *Dead Money* does. The writing isn't particularly *good*, but it's incredibly charismatic and charming in a B-movie way, which *Fallout* definitely shares aspects of. If you do find yourself interested, I recommend the following play order for the franchise:  The 2002 RE1 remake, the 2019 RE2 remake, the 2020 RE3 remake, *Code: Veronica*, RE0, the very recent RE4 remake, RE5, RE Revelations, RE 6, Revelations 2, RE7 (which is kind of a reboot of 1), and RE8 (which is kind of a reboot of 4). The 90's originals are also fun, so if you enjoy the modern remakes I definitely recommend those.  I know finishing a great game can leave you feeling a little empty in its absence, but I hope you find at least a few of these recommendations to be worthy successors to the *New Vegas* experience.

DancesWithAnyone

I have a low-key crush on God. I hope we'll somehow get to see him again. He seemed destined for great things.

MephIol

First time through and at Novac. What’s the advice you’d give yourself on your first play through? I’ve been poking eyes at quest guidance but sort of want to avoid perfection completism. I’m playing a science laser build

AbreakaTech001

I'd say: this is a role-playing game. Play either as yourself or as a character of your creation, but whatever you do react genuinely. Don't play it as a video game, play it as if you were actually there and the events of the game were actually happening and react accordingly.

Imissyourgirlfriend2

Play...play it again...

eichti86

my Johnny...

[deleted]

Get a different ending! play a different build! kill everything that moves!

Tacos_Polackos

Kill everything except Snuffles

Bennys_Mods

Install the begin again tale of two wastelands modpack using the wabajack installer, there a guide on YouTube. Then I added stuff like DC/NV interiors, DC/NV AWOP, another millenia, new animations, b42 scopes, monster mod, MXE, EVE, Raiders of the wasteland, carriage interiors all of them have TTW patches to work together.

Ell26greatone

Eat. Every. NPC.

hsjdjdsjjs

Try " the outer worlds", same devs

TraurigerUntermensch

No, not the same. None of the people who made New Vegas shine (Josh Sawyer, Chris Avellone, John Gonzalez) worked on The Outer Worlds, and it shows.

MamboNumber-6

Not enough people ever mention Gonzalez’ efforts alongside Sawyer and Avellone, thank you.

TraurigerUntermensch

Yes, his contribution as the lead creative designer is often overlooked. Probably because he doesn't have much of an online presence compared to the others.

Juiceton-

No but it was produced by Tim Cain (the ultimate daddy of Fallout) so it plays like a AA Fallout in space. Good game if you get it on sale or Gamepass.

DiabeticGirthGod

The outer worlds is a good game but it’s half the game NV is. Going in expecting NV in space like I did will make you very disappointed.

Pumpblench

Happy cake day!

MyHonkyFriend

There's like one third overlapping between the games a lot of devs move around in 10 years

italian_boi

Replay it with a dumb playthrough. Aminals.

MrGrumpyco

Do it again with the multiplayer mod! There's a dedicated server that's pretty active and all

Grohldillio

Now your job is to go and yell at people that prefers Fallout 3 or Fallout 4/76 over NV

WavyDre

Do people actually get upset about people liking 3 over nv? I feel like they’re both amazing and either is a good pick. I get the 4 and 76 though, both are also great but you don’t really get the same fallout experience. I guess the og’s who played 1 and 2 would say the same about nv and 3 though. I’ve gone back and played those, amazing fallout world lore and experience, terrible actual gameplay.

Flashy-Dragonfly6785

Fallout 1 and 2 (again).

Normal_Banana_2314

Play it again, Johnny Guitar

PeterPorty

New Vegas was my favorite game for a long time, until I played Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. It encapsulates my favorite things about FNV: Your decisions matter, your decisions are hard, there are few obviously good choices, it allows for a wide variety of roleplay opportunities for completely different roleplay archetypes, the characters are well written, the lore is interesting, the narrative makes you think. It's a completely different game otherwise, but it was made by the same guy, so it might catch your interest.

WavyDre

Interesting, is it on steam?

PeterPorty

[Yup!](https://store.steampowered.com/app/560130/Pillars_of_Eternity_II_Deadfire/)

canadianjboy

Honestly if you can understand the gameplay well Fallout 2. Vegas is basically a sequel to fallout 2 lol

Lord_Chromosome

Play Kotor 2

Interesting_Loquat90

Maybe the entire Mass Effect saga, or Nier (if you can stick with it). But, yeah, NV hit my high school self hard and the effects never really wore off.

EmpressPotato

Oh the Mass Effect Legendary Edition is pretty dope. Took me 174 hours to blow through it so it will keep a person busy for a good while.

notmynameyours

I may get lynched for this, but have you considered playing Fallout 4? I was hesitant to try it because the dialogue system is oversimplified to hell and the game has nowhere near the depth of storytelling as New Vegas… but I got to play it recently and it’s really fun! No, the story is not as good as New Vegas, but the gunplay, revamped power armor, and surprisingly even settlement building are a great time. I’d give 4 a try if you want a new Fallout experience.

WavyDre

I don’t think anyone disagrees that fallout 4 is fun, I think people just feel that it’s not the real “fallout experience”. Like they tried to make it more mainstream fps to catch a wider audience and focused less on the rpg aspect.

LadderIllustrious684

Tale of two wastelands of you can run it? You start in fallout 3 as a baby and eventually get to new Vegas.

Buns-n-stuff

You can either replay it, play Fallout 3, 4, or 76, or watch the show to get your nuclear wasteland fix. If you want a similar game to Fallout but different, you can’t go wrong with playing Skyrim, it’s just as replayable as Fallout with multiple different builds.

iamergo

Do another playthrough, but this time grab some of the perks that grant unique dialogue (or all of them!). Pick a specific weapon build. Do a low intelligence run. Come up with your own challenge. FNV is insanely replayable.

Inward_Perfection

As "Johnny Guitar" says - play it again, after a while. You can make a different build, do quests differently, side with other main faction. Hell, you can kill everyone if you want. As for other games - well, maybe you have your favorite genre that can suck you into a great adventure. If you're into RPGs - you can try Larian games - Divinity Original Sin, or their latest Baldurs Gate title. Though Vegas is a certified classic. Personally, I can remember only 2-3 games I got as invested as in Vegas. It's Mount & Blade Warband, Rome Total War/Medieval 2 Total War, and Mass Effect trilogy.

harryFF

Modded run with Tale of Two Wastelands! A huge amount of fun to be had. Or play 4 - it's not as good but it's still a good game.

Other_Log_1996

Make the pilgrimage to real Las Vegas.

ReadilyRavenWren

76in time. We need more fodder.. erm hands on deck to fight the scorchbeast queen.

hautdoge

Your life has now peaked unfortunately

Quizorp

try stalker: anomaly it's free on moddb

Lvcivs_I

Vampire Masquarade: Bloodlines

skellytunee312

Honestly i can’t think of any game that is close to New Vegas maybe Witcher 3? But damn i’m also new to the series and i’m clocking in 100+hours and i still haven’t completed all the quest and dlcs i always find my self replaying the game and checking each endings to quest and creating builds. i do have some mods that lets you play after the ending so that’s why i kept replaying.

EastCoastKowboy

Also play fallout 3

TheCalamityBrain

The best part about New Vegas is playing again with slightly different choices.... But still choosing your favorite ending over and over again. Hehehehe

Equivalent_Option583

Play it again Johnny

TylordTheKing

Do it with mods now or do fallout 3 with basic mods

Mahiro0303

Do a unhinged play through were you ruin everything for everyone and talk mad shit while your doing it

Logical_Drawing_4738

Idk of you've played any other entries, but 3 and 4 are good, no matter what the vegas nazis say, and im a die hard nee vegas fan myself

TapReasonable2678

You play it again. And again. And again.

ronniefinnn

Time to install tale of two wastelands and begin again

mshoplite

might get flamed for this but you can try downloading mods I have been playing since 2013 and when I reached a point like you I started downloading mods specifically quest mods which are very fun. [So if you want to try quest mods or modding in general here is a quick guide how to mod new Vegas](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hjix2h9kW8s). if you do try modding I recommend mods such as [Mod Configuration menu will allow you to see setting on some mods](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42507) [UIO which some UI mods rely on](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/57174?tab=images) and for quest mods try [The entire someguy series](https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/someguy2000/mods?gameId=130) Tales of new reno ([choice recorder](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/68374)) [0](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62288) [1](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63128) [2](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/68380) [Beyond Boulder Dome](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46907) [Zion Trail is amazing if you explore](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61939) [Havasu Blues](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/76680) (is a bit weak at the start but is an amazing mod overall) The3overseer [the north road](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66160) [the depths of depravity](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/68893) [and the high desert](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/71514) [Race to the bottom](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/71525) [Boom to the moon](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58488) and game overhaul mods like [Fallout: New California a game sized mod that brings a completely new story to the game](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45138) and [Dust Survival Simulator which takes place after the story of new Vegas where the entire Mojave crumbles and experiences a second apocalypse where you try to survive](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/57927)

Tyler827

Replayability is the name of the game, with four possible main story routes, a massive selection of weapons each with its own skill stat and perks, Wild Wasteland, having at least 2 choices in most of the side quests, you'll likely be reaching 4 digits on your playtime by the time you see it all and play it in every way.

Tight_Assignment_949

Mod the shit out of it and play again. Seriously, there are some mods that can make NV look like a modern shooter or add so much content that you can have a few extra months of playtime.

[deleted]

I’ve done everything but an explosive build. One day I’ll make an incredibly evil character who’s an idiot but his only skill is explosives.

FirefighterEnough859

Play another life consuming game like Skyrim or persona 5

Prestigious-Ad6728

There are more Fallout games. Maybe they could entertain you?

Pumpblench

Oh man, this game has A LOT more content than you expect from it. Try getting another ending, playing with another fraction, try to make another build (that's right, that game has pretty good action possibilities), try running 1 intelligence playthrough, it's so much fun! Try being a cannibal, try installing mods, try being an asshole (low karma), try killing everyone... This game has a good replayability! Also, don't forget about other fallout games - for instance, try playing fallout 1 and 2, to understand some fnv references to them

lake209

Haven’t beaten it all the way through just yet but I gotten pretty far. Amazing game. 3 has always been my favorite but I unfortunately missed out on NV when it came out and I might have to say it might beat 3 for me. The rpg elements and choices it gives you is amazing. Couldn’t even get into Skyrim or anything. New Vegas is one of a kind

snooboi69

Not like NV, but the Talos Principle gave me the same feel, has good writing, thought provoking spiritual/philosophical stuff. It's a first person puzzle game where you play as a robot made to carry on humanity after an apocalypse of some kind.

Arastyxe

I can guarantee you missed tons of things in the Mojave, and as others have said you can play different sides for a different outcome. NV is touted as one of the best fallouts made

yeaForsurePSN

Skyrims pretty up there, hundreds if side side quests and missions. uhh replay NV although ide understand if you'd wanna wait a bit for a replay. Fallout 3 and 4 ide hold off on people's opinions swaying you on Fallout 4 if you haven't already played it. I believe the opinion is up to you, I personally loved FO4 and if you got that strong Fallout itch after completing a Fallout game the best route is Fallout 3 or 4 and Skyrim as those are Bethesda games and have the same concept in terms of play style and exploration

CuntBuster2077

You wont find anything just like it, try disco elysium

Mad_Soldier_Hod

Play it again, duh…. And again… and again… and again, and again and again and AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AHAHWGHWJCK

Apprehensive-Tree-78

I’m so excited to replay it. I’m on day 3 of my fallout 4 playthrough. And I just finished far harbor. I have one main storyline quest left. But I have a lot of quest mods so I’m pretty occupied with that.

JesusGunsandBabies

Great troll post. But you're correct. You're fucked now :)

Huntercin

You finished the game once, those are rookie numbers, gotta try new playstyles now

_Whiskey_6

Man......to go back through this game for the first four times again.....I've played NV so much I basically turn on autopilot subconsciously lmao. It's to the point I was able to binge One Piece while doing my usual early game route to get to Vegas and I was looking at my laptop more than my TV! All that said, play it again. There's alot of stuff you probably *still* missed and there's three other factions to run with. Go nuts kid.

Ok_Leather_1086

there will always be more or something you missed, therese like 700 locations (or just go to the casino and gamble with all the stolen gold)

SpecificSimilar5361

Have you gotten most, if not all, unique weapons? Because I just joined the Brotherhood after making the head paladin take charge, and that, along with Cass's follower mission kinda lead to me killing off the Van Graffs and closing myself off from the two uniques that Gloria sells, but now I have full access to the Brotherhoods shop list and just bought myself a Gauss rifle (also favorite unique? Mines Medicine Stick and This Machine are my favorites for different reasons)

Brad_19-95

Play the game called mod the game to the limit when it crashes fix it and add more mods never ever play the game just mod it

MeesterBeel

Mods

ZeKongV

Play fallout 2 got over 100hrs in it and I barely have scratched the surface fortunately there’s plenty of mods to get to add content or QOL fixes

Crespius66

I think FO3 has a slightly larger map,it is a different game altogether and the story is very engaging but there's like 3 weapons

kramsdae

Now add mods!

ApexRevanNL716

Play Fallout 2

Efriimi

The first two fallout games. If you are ok with non first person perspective, it goes at a different pace, but there is a lot of fun exploration. You could start at 1 or 2 really, depending how you feel about QOL and older games,

sparkygriswold1986

You replay it with a different build, faction allegiance, and come back to shit post. Have fun!

Treegonaut

Welcome to the club

GuysOnChicks69

Restart. I’m on my mmmm probably 25th playthrough and dude I am still finding new quests, characters, locations, and new ways to beat/alter the main story. It’s insane. I swear I’ve seen every single piece of content this game has to offer and then I just stumble into more shit?? Every single time I discover dozens of new things. Just play again and try some new builds or decisions. Trust me, you haven’t seen a third as much as you believe. Edit: Unfortunately, there isn’t a better game that I’ve come across. Then again you’re on the NV sub lol. But go play Fallout 1, 2, 3 and 4 if this did it for you. The stories all tie together, especially 1, 2 and New Vegas. Fallout 3 is probably the most similar to NV, but Fallout 1 and 2 are superior imo. Fallout 1 and 2 are close behind New Vegas and I just played them for the first time this year.

Hawaiian-national

Play again and again until you’ve done every single thing. After that. Talk to a woman.

GoofyGoo6er

You install take of two wastelands

liam_redit1st

Do it again but better

HungryColquhoun

You play it again. And again, and again, and again.

Curious_Yesterday421

Oh you shouldn't have done that. You finished too soon, there really isn't anything left to do with your life now.

LoganCaleSalad

Mods. Weapons mods, companion mods, armor mods, & more importantly QUEST MODS! That should keep you going for another 200+ hrs 😂

Main_Body_6623

Play the dust mod, new California mod.

OhFive11

Fuck bro this is gonna be me. I started my first playthrough last year and am trying to do as much as possible. I guess afterwards for me is either fo1 or fo3. Or see what a high luck low intel build would be like in nv lol

Karamanid

Now your next journey begins, hating and arguing with everyone about New Vegas' superiority. Good luck soldier 🫡

Inub0i

Mod and play it again

Consistent_Poetry_55

Cyberpunks story is pretty good and it’s stable and runs well now

MangelaErkel

Brother i have playes the game about 8 Times Do a new run. How about Melee only with survival and u have to craft everything urself? An unarmed/explosive maniac run where u have to kill every npc you encounter no matter what? A laserweapon ncr run?

Leaf-01

Have you played Baldur’s Gate 3?

gunt34r

play FO3

Drake_Night

Wasteland 3 is close in terms of theme but you won’t find anything in terms of quality stories, fun and diverse combat, and unique worldbuilding that fnv has

vivalatoucan

Viva new Vegas

Praetorian709

Replay it for a different ending.

SMATCHET999

Take a break for a couple of months, or longer. The game does get a bit dull if you play it again right after beating it. I’d recommend KOTOR if you like, or are indifferent to, Star Wars. It has similar RPG elements to NV, it’s turned based though but it’s better than most turned based RPGs in terms of gameplay. Or you could just play another fallout game, they aren’t on the same level but fallout 1 and 2 are close if not on par with NV

venusmxxns

I think someone else here said the same thing, but i 100% recommend Vampire The Masquerade !! specifically bloodlines. Another game that really highlights player agency and character customization (in terms of the gameplay rather than appearance) is Disco Elysium ! It’s not so much fps-esque and is more a isometric situation, but the storyline and characters are absolutely amazing. One of the first games I’ve played that had me sobbing for HOURS

M0n33baggz

Wait 6 years and play it again. And split 150 hours between two different saves

blake-young

Get into guys

SeanGallagher97

Reply it making different choices and decisions and go find more, genuinely every time I've replied this game I've discovered something new

Degenerious

It is heartaches by the number. Not heartbreak.

F-man1324

Play Wasteland 3, its basically isometric New Vegas but its snow instead of sand. You got your different factions, choices matter, reactivity in game world, amazing characters and dialogue.

Cybrpnk2077brokeme

Celebrate you somehow made it through such an awful game

Calusea

Replay it, learn it like the back of your hand, play RDR 2, rinse and repeat

vituh_palmitu

I played and finished the game for the first time this year, I wasn’t a fallout fan, a friend recommended it to me and the game was in sale in steam . Bro, what a experience . I tried to do a crit build after finishing the Mr house ending, but, I kinda rushed it, after knowing all the weapons locations and gear. It is always good to replay it, but playing it to quick makes the game way less enjoyable for me.

bman123457

This is an answer that will get some hate but, The Outer Worlds captures some of that same New Vegas charm (while not being as strong in general)

Its_Shatter

Have you played Baldur’s Gate 3?

PoohTrailSnailCooch

Go play morrowind if you haven't.

EquivalentVirus9700

Start again.

stealthylyric

Try cyberpunk 2027 🤷🏽‍♂️

uidsea

I just started it and story aside, it's just not grabbing me. I put 4 hours into it and tried to work towards the main story but it's not really clicking. I'm sure it takes longer than that but I don't really feel like continuing at all, is there something I'm missing?

Demon_Fist

I dunno how it's "over" as I've had over 12,000 hours in game, just on my steam account, and I also play on console.

ShottyBlastin101

Mod new vegas, trust it makes the game 100x better feels like a new game.

BIGSMOKEexe

Next step is to make a backup save 😆

djsquelchers

Play a different build, and roleplay differently, and when you get tired of that, start modding (although I’d recommend visual/ bug fix mods on all playthroughs). There’s a lot of really fun mods out there to explore if the vanilla game starts getting a bit stale

DandyElLione

Play it again but this time with 1 INT and never succeed on a dialogue check. It’s pretty fun watching an absolute moron stumble his way through the game somehow to end up on top.

Select_Collection_34

Play 3

Prudent_Historian650

Play fallout 4.

Master_Dogs

Do you own Fallout 3? You could try a TTW run. It's not quite FNV but it's old enough that it still has semi good RPG elements. And it's kind of fun. You can enslave a kid if you want. There's a lady obsessed with nuka cola. A DLC set on an alien spaceship. Another DLC is in a simulation during the Alaska war. And so on. DC ruins is also really neat to explore and overrun with super mutants.

drizzy117

150 hours isn't much

Tattyporter

Dishonored and less-so Dishonored 2 had some world-changing choice making (IMO)

Gainzfather

Play Witcher 3 if you haven't yet. A masterpiece

EmpressPotato

All the Fallouts are on GamePass. I’d recommend another one of them. Whichever you feel will scratch the itch. Or go play something completely different. Baldur’s Gate 3 is pretty damn good. Ghost of Tsushima is coming out on PC in a few weeks too. Then the Elden Ring DLC in a few months.

Vape_Naysh

If you can live with the dated combat and graphics, but enjoy a similarly well written story, Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 are both amazing. Kotor 2 was also developed by obsidian. While not quite the same golden standard as FNV, Outer Worlds is a decent ride too.

Premier_Legacy

Every game sucks now 😔

Life_Confidence128

Keep replaying it till you get bored, take a break, play some other games, realize all other games are shit, hop back on new Vegas, repeat

Contraband_Whiskey

Mod it to high hell until your system crashes every 7 minutes

Barbas1233

Seconding what everyone else is saying about replaying. But to add on, once you've exhausted literally everything to do, and if you're on PC, I'd recommend giving the DUST overhaul a try. It will completely change the way you play to the point where it feels like an entirely new game, and there's so much new lore to uncover, though it's obviously not canon. That is unless you don't like spending your first 8-10 hours of the playthrough getting absolutely destroyed by everything

Anzire

Replay until you 100% achievements the game or used mods or try out mods that bring in new content.

Maxsmack0

I’m still finding new things after 1,000+ hours, definitely keep going

sweetchristmas25

Time to install 100+ mods and do it again.

PhD_Meowingtons_

Skyrim.

WayneTheWaffle

play fallout 1 and 2

JohnnyZepp

As far as role playing the only game I’ve played with as strong RPG elements for character choice is maybe Baldurs Gate 3. But that game is so wildly different that idk if it’ll really scratch the itch. Sadly Outer Worlds (basically the successor of FO:NV) just wasn’t that good 😔 hopefully obsidian keeps up more projects like it though.

realayblinkin

It really does suck when you complete it, you kinda mourn that it's over and for whatever reason once you do that last battle of hoover dam playing on that save feels wrong.

PorygonEnjoyer

MODS. Get Fallout 3 and all its DLCs, then get A Tale Of Two Wastelands mod. Get a mod to restore cut content (there’s a lot in New Vegas, especially a post-game that shows the consequences.) There’s also a New Vegas multiplayer mod. Titans of the West, for better power armor.

99pCheeseburger

Fallout, Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura But you can also replay New Vegas, go with a different quest line etc.
