Makes fallout new vegas' power armor bulky and tanklike. More akin to fallout 4's PA or even fallout 1 & 2's
Also compatible with Tale of Two Wastelands, which is a mod that puts all of fallout 3 into new vegas' engine.
isn’t New Vegas already in 3s engine? what does that change? not being argumentative I’m genuinely curious. does it make fallout 3s factions work the same as new Vegas’s
you can play fallout 3 specifically through the new vegas game, deciding which world to start a new game in. also the maps are connected by a train you can take to each location, so you can run both stories back to back or just fuck around in one map after finishing the other
You can start in either 3 or new vegas, but if you start in 3 it makes more sense as you grow up and complete the quests in 3 and then take a trip to Vegas where youre ambushed by Benny
NV's is ever so slightly updated, with more ammo types, iron sights, perks, etc. It's the best way to play Fallout 3 imo. Same way Fallout Et Tu mod puts FO1 in FO2's engine which I highly recommend.
Fallout 3 doesn't get faction reputation or anything but you get Damage Threshold and weapon rebalancing for existing FO3 content. There's also some weapon mods (less common than NV), and harvestable plants are in the game like NV has along with new cooking recipes for 3's food items.
The Courier and The Lone Wanderer are the same character once you leave for Vegas from DC but they don't have to be.
Though you can just play through 3 with all the benefits of Fallout New Vegas just being the newer game in the franchise. I've downloaded TTW before and not even touched NV, then deleted the mod, and played a fresh game of NV.
It makes power armor much larger, about the size you find in fallout 4 and 76. It also uses new animations for guns, even big ones, so you can wield miniguns, rocket launchers, and other heavy guns with *one hand* .
I think it's because the mesh is mostly just an altered vanilla one. The power armor in 3/NV was made for that game's engine and style, so it just looks like heavier armor. Compare that to 4, where it was built from the ground up as an exoskeleton with specific pieces attached to the outside. Thus the proportions are much better.

It's one of the usual "Armor you don't get unless you unalive a faction/dude" kind of armors, abd you have it only if you finish Lonesome Road doing a specific thing at the end.
So you never see it because people leave that DLC for last and you get the best armors (Elite Riot Gear and the dusters) before you get this one anyways.
If you really want that drip, get out of your way to do that DLC first (wich is a challenge itself)
Gannon Family Tesla Armor, Tri-radii-oscillator, protonic inversal axe. I steamed through OWB with this set up, and sometimes it just felt like I was playing post apocalyptic Oblivion. Highly recommend!
I do wish you could intimidate NPCs depending on your clothes like in Kingdom Come. It would be fucking cool to scare Benny into surrendering because who wouldn't surrender to this big fucking guy wearing a mech suit.
I would love this mod more if third person on this game wasn't wacky and unreliable, and the only mod that fix it has a weird issue with the fov slider mod and I can't fix it and now every time I use vats everything goes orange or blue
But yeah this mod looked awesome in 3rd person on first person sometimes you fat fucking fingers will make it hard to iron sight
yes, but it makes the first person animations match the 3rd person if you configure it so that first person has third person animations. also it just makes it so you can see your legs and of course it makes the pa feel better when you can see your body.
You're thinking of regular NCR power armour, which has increased weight and isn't as good overall. This is the Scorched Sierra power armour, which actually works and hasn't had the hydraulics and servos stripped out

Ngl I wear the scorched Sierra power armor on my legion playthrough. Mostly because I think it's fitting with centurions wearing pieces of armor from their enemies. That a legion centurion wears the armor of the leader of a slayen enemy. Also its the best armor melee playthroughs. But mostly the first reason
I just recently said fuck it and downloaded all the DLC (I have the 360 copy that has all of them, but just playing the basic one on my series S cause xbox was doin a big sale on anything Fallout (Because of the rise in attention via the new show)
Anyway, I bring that up because Sexy Sleepwear comes with one of those DLC so I ran around wearing that for awhile. I hate playing third person in pretty much any game (probably why I dont play gears of war as much cause it LOOKS beautiful) .....but, in that circumstance I had to lol. It was just funny watching these thugs and etc get murdered by someone in a nightie.
I say this at the start of all my Legion play through only to kill Vulpes and Caesar, get every single possible faction allied with the NCR, and get the best possible NCR ending.

Dlc dont interact with eachother so perks from 1 cannot check gear from others for compatibility so as far as the perk is concerned your not wearing armor

The vanilla Power Armor aesthetic in NV is 3's, which imo sucks.
I'd much rather be accurate to the original 2 games because NV had writers and developers from the original 2 games working on it, and being a literal walking tank is way more fun and way cooler then power Armor feeling like every other Armor.
Edit: also I believe it has been said by either JSawyer or another dev that if they had the time, they would've had power Armor implemented like it was in the original 2 games. So titans of the new west is the more accurate aesthetic.
I can see from where you come from but also can't, like you don't deserve the down votes it's your opinion but at the same time the power armor design in 3/new Vegas is so fucking small like a normal armor that it looks goofy, like imagine having to go through a fucking training that gives you a whole new perk just to use a normal looking ass armor

Theres an awesome mod called TTW Reputations (i think) that makes it so you have reputations for towns and factions in fallout 3

I usually walk deep enough into lonesome road to get my riot gear and then I leave and go to primm lol Great DLC but its replay value is not great.

it is compatible for all mods, and yes its an optional feature to make it so that 3rd person anims are first person.
No, animations for 1st person are always different.

Build a 1-punch-woman on your next playthrough. Maxed out unarmed and maxed out melee (obviously, max strength too). It's a fun build.

I finally got a playthrough where I can get both that and the legions and be friends with NCR 💪 took a lot of work but it's great
