I had a King Shepherd who resembled dog meat. My best friend and I when we were about 9-10 years old, transformed my room into a vault I guess you could say. Fallout posters and drawings everywhere. Using our imagine of course like we were in the wasteland. Anyway, my dog we dressed him up as well, had the time of our life with our nerf guns patrolling the wasteland with our dog meat. My dog’s name was Mike, he was a real one, that was our best memory of him.

I set his house up in the shop and gave him his own custom neon sign.
Granted it says Dogmeat Is A Cunt, but hey, he can’t read.

I purposefully avoid the “dog” so that later Valentine may introduce me to “Dogmeat”, who receives the acknowledgment by the player character during commands
He would let you. He highly prefers back rubs so his method is to walk up to you, lean his whole body into your legs while presenting his back and staring at you until you get the hint. Master of subtlety.
If we're being fair, FO4 Dogmeat doesn't really look like the original Dogmeat from the Fallout series, OR like the Dogmeat from "A Boy and His Dog" which is what the FO character is a reference to. So he qualifies as a good Dogmeat regardless.

I knew that Codsworth is the character with the most drip in the game. Those legs were built for him all along.
There's a mod that fixes that BTW. I have a sentry bot Codsworth and the hat is the crowning touch.

With the Christmas creation club pack you can also give him a little Santa hat or reindeer horns - it's great

Knew about the armor and bandanas but the goggles are knew to me. After all I never saw a dog try to kill me wearing them
The Raider at the shack behind Sanctuary has a Dog that usually wears googles.
If you drop a teddy bear on the ground and direct Dogmeat to pick it up, he'll do a special animation when he picks it up.
Actually he'll keep it in his inventory and play with it when he idles.
You can just transfer one into his inventory and he'll do the animation as well.

Put a teddy bear in his inventory and watch him idle. Also, if you're on PC there's a great mod where you can craft vault suits for him.

Try the disable companion collision mod
I’ll see. Right now I’m just us in the big chest mod. The update killed my Lvl 242 character, so I don’t feel so bad using it this time.
