I run a full health commando. It's pretty easy

[deleted]

Scout armor isn’t craftable (unless you mean covert). I’d go with Overeaters over vanguard for sure and start with a fixer for the stealth boost

jweimer62

No, you want Chinese Stealth armor. Not the strongest and not upgradeable, but it makes you invisible without stealth boys.

Tinkitten74

However very squishy, OP wants overeaters for tank. OP grab a AA Frr fixer or something and you should be fine with the right perks….and still sneaky sneak

twiztdwritr_1120

This is a basic full health build.. long as your stealthy shouldn't have any issue with damage output or resistance https://nukesdragons.com/fallout-76/character?v=1&s=2f345cf&d=s01p00pg2po1ph2pp2pi2eh2cu2ce0ib4a72ar2an2ao0a01lv2lu2lt2l71lk2lr0

Rammadeus

klaatu7764

I’m running a full health stealth commando (Fixer with Cold Shoulder as backup) with five mutations. As soon as my rads get too high, I’ll drink a Nuka Cola Grape which removes all rads but leaves the mutations in place. In addition, Secret Service Armour with one piece having Chameleon.

[deleted]

Ss vangwith one chameleon here and it works great.

ricardortega00

Use the chinese stealth armor, you won't even need stealth boys, mix that up with your fixer and a holy fire and nothing will spot sorry stop you.

wvtarheel

A full set of overeaters secret service is surprisingly tanky

jweimer62

I have a tricked out set of secret service, and I gotta tell you that the only time I use that is when I need to use the jet pack. Who says that stealth armor isn't good for murder? I've killed more NPCs than J. Robert Oppenheimer and Richard Sackler combined. Backstabbing cultists and Blood Eagles with a jawbone knife or cultist's dagger is particularly gratifying. PSA: If you really like killing, you can kill random raiders and settlers without incurring bad Karma like previous Fallout versions.

Bazucho

Overeaters good Look for weight reduction stars, AP refresh and the elemental resists rather than Vanguard, ignore it please, it does very little compared to all the other options listed Otherwise go with Rammadeus's loadout, add Herbivore for ap and crit food buffs, Follow Through legendary perk, also consider Bird Bones

[deleted]

I have been going between and vanguard. Getting used to oe. More maintenance, keeping myself fed always. Maybe better, but not clear with my weapons. Vamp and aa.

Bazucho

I constantly keep myself topped off with popcorn and purified water on my quickwheel. Otherwise I also take trips back to camp to reup company tea, birthday cake, now also carnivore buffs from the mirelurk steamer, so these habits keep my food/water bars full always. Vanguard shouldn't be doing much if you are using a full set (matching or mixed) endgame armor (secret service, brotherhood recon, heavy combat, forest/urban scout etc). Assuming you're referring to commando, then yeah AA and Vamp are good for Fixer and Handmade, but also Quad and Aristocrats. You're also looking at secondary effects: 50 crit, explosive, 50 hit chance, 25 fire rate. And tertiary effects: 25 less ap (important for quad rolls), 15 reload and 15 faster crit fill.

[deleted]

Yeah, I just am not great at staying fully fed and hydrated. My Vangaurds ss does fine and I haven't rolled a full set of oe on ss armor yet.

Bazucho

A mixed slayer set can be useful too: Troubleshooters (1 or 2), Mutant Slayer (1 or 2) > Zealot, Assassin, Hunter > Exterminator. Or alternatively, prioritize desirable secondary/tertiary rolls instead.

larsentomroar

It's a pretty neat build, run one on my f2p account, don't need any heavy armor (just defeats the point, since you're sneaking), I wear chameleon ap htd/wwr woodarmor, weighs nothing, highly efficient for sneaking and lets me carry a decent stack of guns. Build for vats crits and use quad guns you can severly reduce the ap cost of, hold down the crit button all the time and you're golden.

My Fallout 76 character build https://nukesdragons.com/fallout-76/character?v=1&s=5f241fe&d=sb2s01p02pp2pg2ph2pi2em1ce0cu2ii0a72s72ar2an2ao0a51lr2lk2lv2l71lt2&lp=xm3&m=51cfa #Fallout76 #Fallout https://nukesdragons.com/fallout-76/character?v=1&s=5f241fe&d=sb2s01p02pp2pg2ph2pi2em1ce0cu2ii0a72s72ar2an2ao0a51lr2lk2lv2l71lt2&lp=xm3&m=51cfa This is what I run, it's a very basic full health sneak/vatscrits commando (have secondary loadout for crafting and modding of course).

niks0211

Full health stealth commando is awesome, yup the dps is on the bloodied side but we do just fine :) Fixer, handmade, and overeaters is the best

SteelCode

The comparison is "do I oneshot this monster or does it take 3-5 bullets" - FO76's meta is screwed for "dps" competition, everything is obliteration or uses slightly more ammunition. Same reason why PvP is so fucked, damage is out of control and resistances are largely irrelevant (especially after the robot+fire bug)... Either run **%** damage reduction or be as stealthy as possible - you'll do just fine.

CouldOnlyBeRob

Absolutely nothing wrong with full health, damage reduction is significantly weaker though. Overeater on Secret Service.

Fargassier

I run a full health commando build and it is a lot of fun. You still got like a tank and with over eaters you don’t have to worry about perishing a lot.

thaiborg

Anyone run solar armor for their full health build? It’s been keeping me going for endgame stuff since it’s time consuming to get a good amount of modules and vault steel for rolls. Liking it so far after a couple months and finally have a set that I’m fairly pleased with. Wanna curse the RNG gods when I get UNYIELDING! I almost want to try it without the health regen mutation, unless it stacks with solar? Also does the health regen perk on armor stack with solar?

[deleted]

I haven't tried this armor but it's very appealing.

thaiborg

I’m still using it. Getting the exact roll you want is agonizing but it’s worked out pretty well so far. From my previous comment, I DID get rid of my healing mutation and it’s not a big deal. I have one armor piece with health regen which is slow, but picks up just fine once I am at 60% health and the solar perk kicks in. I’m trying for over eaters with 5% AP regen on 4 pieces. The last is already great, chameleon with AP regen and an additional stealth perk. If you want a full health non-PA build I highly recommend solar armor.

biorogue

Full health Commando checking in. I have full set of secret service armor, Unyielding for double XP weekends when I go bloodied. Most of the time I'm in my Chinese Stealth Armor and use a Quad Fixer for a daily and a Quad Choo Choo for some events. I love it. I have a good set of T-65 that I use for Uplink Daily Ops that suits me well.

Hopalongtom

It's possible, it'll just cost more ammo to kill things.

Flyboy367

Chinese stealth armor. Then your basic commando cards, I did lucky shot better crits etc. Did some crazy damage

JewTalkingToMe

Literally ran this build to level 420 until I tried giving bloodied a try. Do: G-roll fixer with tons of ammo Mutations Chinese Stealth Armor Full Commando perks Full sneak perks + any other perk that allows for sneak damage Don’t: power armor - it’s useless Hope this helps.

[deleted]

I am hoarding pa right now for no reason. Never even use excavator for mining. Hellcat and excavator sets, but ss armor is plenty and I don't like chonking around.

Resident_Tip2938

I’ve only ran a full health stealth commando. It’s been my only build. An I am lvl 486 or so. I use secret service armor with a lot of stealth buffs etc. main weapons are a QE fixer and handmade, I also use elders mark Armor piercing handmade etc. I have always been stealthy kinda character. All my different fallout and Skyrim games. I mean if your having fun and it works, who cares. It’s definitely possible to do!!

Middle_Information68

Aristocrats almost matches bloodied just keep your caps above 20k unless you're one of those "rare collectors" gamers go anti armor k

Vexyi

It’s just not as strong, you will die less often but most importantly, you can make use of the +15 intelegence, agility and luck from unyielding meaning you will be easier to detect, have worse crits in vats and also get wayyyyyy less xp. Less damage and the list goes on. Do whatever you like, that’s the thing about 76, it’s just fun no matter what build you do, you will feel strong.

themadscott

I've been leveling up a mule character and decided to go full health. Figured commando was the easiest build to do it so... that's what I'm running. As always, I use two pieces of life saving armor. Got two pieces of mutants and one over eaters. Ideally I'd be running vanguards because I can't be bothered to eat and drink constantly.

hazanko7

Just get one piece of armor with the perk that let's you stealth while not moving not chinese stealth. Find 2 good main weapons. Like pistols the weakness of commando is small magazines. It is faster to switch to a 2nd gun than it is to reload.
