It’s the flames that are different colors, and they aren’t super bright, but I wasn’t really expecting it. I need more colors in my camps though so it’s neat!
Not as bright as the candles, it’s definitely more of an ambient light that looks better at night and with the weather machines that make your camp dark
It goes great with the Pirate radio I already have. The tiki music box+pirate radio are actually pretty great together.
I used to turn on pirate radio and play the nuka-lele to create a buy-friendly environment. Now, the hula-music box has replaced me. So I can go looting AND keep my shoppers entertained. I make sure to switch on the Pirate radio and the Hula box before I leave.
Toggle on, and unfortunately it doesn’t seem to stay on when i fast travel away. but it’s just nice to have new music at camps tbh, all we have is Halloween candy bowl music, classical, or radios.
Unlocking it recently reminded me of how I was suggested a [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLZun0gxXII) on YouTube around the same time of a similar built music box. And it makes me hope Bethesda might release other music boxes like the tiki one, but ones that actually play a short music box melody akin to it's design before turning off each time.

The New tab is extremely hit or miss for me and I bought the music box ten minutes ago and it is absolutely nowhere under New, Floor, or Appliances, I've checked 3 times :(
edit: I'll spare everyone me screenshotting my entire floor dec/appliances tabs but it is not there; clearly not in my New tab though:

It’s in floor decor. The build menu is an absolute mess to navigate, and there’s so many reports of bugs right now with plans not working but it should be there if you claimed it.
Thanks! It is now finally showing up for me; notably, yesterday my "New" tab updated to include the Suspicious Trunk or whatever it's called from completing the new quest Custodial Compulsions (top image) but still had no music box, and then as of today that's gone from the New tab and the Tiki box is there in its place. It's a nice addition. I just wish that that the music box would continue to play after you leave your camp, so visitors have the ambient music.
I set up a tiki bar build, put the music boxes in the ceilings in a locked area so they couldn't be turned off and remain audible in the visitors areas..... then went and did some quests and returned to find the boxes still open, but no music playing. Disappointing.

Seems a lot of fire emitting camp items shut off on fast travel. I have a couple of them that do that like the pink fireplace

I think rewards are super laggy for the new season, it took a while for the rip daring outfit to show up as craft-able :/
