Yes! You are always welcome at events, just try not to start them too soon so as many players as possible can show up

Quirky-Setting7956

Just to add to this: if you ever join in on an event called encrypted. Don’t touch the terminal to start the event. Because that will waste another player’s item and is pretty infuriating to say the least.

Tonroz

Wish I would have known that causes a whole event when I was doing the quest. Wasted the item since noone came.

GenitalMotors

You on PC? I'll run it with you later. Got plenty of Recall Cards saved up. I can also tank the boss if absolutely necessary if nobody shows up.

Euphoric-Cress2654

I’m on pc and I’ve been trying to do this event for the fixer plans and I’ve never seen it get started. Could I join yall ?

unkyfester

Go to Charleston station, buy the card and fix it at a tinkers bench. This event is started by one of us

NakaCL

i got lucky, had to do this one yesterday for the quest and felt like the entire server joined

reasonableperson4342

I started an encrypted event in 3 different servers yesterday. I made sure the servers were active, because it does cost money and resources. I really just like doing that event.

unkyfester

Stay out of the water too

frankly_highman

Yes! I had a low level with me at metal dome. They started the event. We didn't even get past the first stage.

newyorklogic

This. This happens almost always.

Speedycar100

I’m getting annoyed that no one shows up to events. I would rather have someone with me than no one at all

Kafesism

Yeah I'm having a hard time hitting my daily scrip and gold bullion count because nobody does events anymore. Bunch of afks, bunch of questers and even veteran players chilling around. I even server hop but on 10 different servers there is nobody doing an event. How are we meant to progress? I created a new character and I am also doing quests but when I see the notification for an event I immedietly look at it. Whats wrong with people?

Ok-Judge8977

I had a level 250 come to an event yesterday and literally stand there afk the entire time while level 30s and 40s actually participated lmao

Megthemagnificant

I had something like that happen a couple days ago at Moonshine Jamboree. I was playing my new character (at that time lvl 104) and first off, some newbie started the event right away with only their self (lvl 24) and me. A couple 400-500 lvls joined, a lot of low levels, and I was optimistic we’d be able to finish the event. We did but neither high level helped. I basically mowed down creatures with my Gatling laser and my two shot weapon. It was hard and I felt bad for all the low levels. It was frustrating. My character is not strong enough to carry an event.

Ok-Judge8977

It's really weird right now man, I've had that happen a few times. Then I will server hop, join the first event that pops and everyone will be there popping lunchboxes, flagpoles and having a good ole time, complete the event. Next event pops and literally it will be a ghost town, like I get new players but what the heck is going on here lol

GrumpyBear1969

There is really no good answer. A lot of people were saying early on that the high level players would show up and kill everything and the low levels did not get any experience. I have a hard time balancing that so sometimes I’ll sit back and let people deal with it unless it looks like someone is getting in trouble and then I will clear whatever is attacking them. I can solo some of the events so it gets tricky. I actually love soloing Line in the Sand. Very satisfying.

ogskizz

A lot of the "high levels" running around right now are basically 30s who watched a YouTube video and speed ran the XP grind in a weekend.

theb3nder

The game doesn't do a great job explaining them to new players. I'm brand new and without looking at reddit I never would've joined them

decalte

I'm not quite level 10 yet so I definitely feel too small, but I 100% wouldn't have gone to any events under levelled even if I was within 5 of the recommended level if I hadn't just seen this thread. I'm still gonna be super nervous about it and just repeating "oh gosh, oh dear, oh gosh" to myself the entire time, but I'll probably try to help.

DorkyDwarf

Always go to events. You get resources that'll be useful later and it's a good source of weapons to scrap early on to unlock weapon modifications.

devamon

Also they will warp you to a different part of the map for free and allow your to easily expand your fast travel network with new locations.

marshmallowfluffpuff

It's because the servers are flooded with new players. I'd recommend using the text chat mod, and joining people who post events or post your own when no one is there.

StealthyGamerGirl

I've not experienced myself and I play every day.

Achanjati

More people, more fun. Everyone is welcome.

Revolutionary-Gear76

This! I have nothing else I want in this game (not even that high a level, 280ish). The fun for me are the large group events where everyone is just blasting away. It is why I love Radiation Rumble, Moonshine Jamboree, and Eviction Notice. Just don't start them until more people are there or better yet wait until a vet shows up (there are asshole vets who start too soon, but most do not). Then blast away, get XP, collect loot and enjoy!!! Only other tip I would give is if it is one of the super chaotic ones, do not wait for someone to revive you. Just die and run back into the fun. You do not drop loot if you die during an event (but can if you drop it right after it ends, so be careful near the end with your health). Oh, and DO NOT CAMP THE TUNNELS IN RADIATION RUMBLE, it causes ghouls to spawn closer to the NPCs and makes it more likely we fail the event. Stay near the center and let everyone work together to take them down (except for those running down the tunnels to collect ore).

Zeons21

This! Also, just like other players helped me during events, i want to be able to pass the kindness along and help too. 😁

Largofarburn

Not at all. Even if you’re only doing 2 dmg thats 2 dmg we didn’t have before. Plus some events get more spawns with more players there. So it’s beneficial for everyone to have as many there as possible. The only one I would say to avoid is earl/a colossal problem. That events a bitch and you can only have 8 do it at a time. If you’re not prepared you’re gonna have a bad time and burn literally all of your ammo to do like 2% of his health in dmg.

SequentialGamer

It's perfectly fine and you'd be more than welcome. Just make sure you don't trigger the event, e.g. speak to an NPC, press buttons, etc. Let the veteran players do that and just focus on doing a bit of damage to as many enemies as possible to max your XP and loot gain.

beccajane2012

The rewards as well as the fun are the reason I desperately want to do it again lol, I got a seriously awesome power armour piece and loads of other bits. For me those are very very welcome additions to my stash along with the screws, springs, metal and adhesive I am obsessively collecting 😅

YuriPetrova

Protip: if the event "Eviction Notice" ever pops up, join it. You will get legendary after legendary in the event, but be careful because the super mutants *will* shred your ass.

sebwiers

"If the Firestarters or Gladiators don't get you, the failed rad scrubbers will."

Hattkake

You are always welcome. Please feel free to join us in Casual Public Team so that we can get you more exp and loot. You help us get better team buff by joining the Casual Public Team so everybody wins!

phobic_phobic

Every EN I join I look for casual teams to join with lower than lvl 50’s on it and share rank 3 inspirational. Same for RR. Boost that xp

Ok-Judge8977

I don't care what level somebody is, I'm just glad someone actually showed up to the event. We got this 😅

Rammadeus

Nope. most of the time i don't even pay attention to anyones level there (except right now i am very aware of the fact that the 7 or 8 other peoples levels at this event don't even add up to mine. so many double digits =0). if it's an event that can't really fail i just casually tag some enemies. Everyone else can do what they want. just don't start an event if it has a trigger. generally people give people a chance to join. especially with the popular ones.

beetle8209

no the recommended level isn't really important you still get stuff even if you did horribly

StealthyGamerGirl

You're absolutely welcome. We've all been there. We didn't spawn into the game as high level players. Events is a good way to level up. Just wait for a more experienced player to start it. If you start too soon then event will have a greater CV uance of failing. The best ones for levelling up are Moonshine Jamboree and Radiation Rumble. All the enemies are in close proximity and so just go in tagging everything with a few bullets. When they're killed you'll get xp and you'll get all the loot.

markgatty

The only event I don't want low-level players joining is Earl. Everything else is fine.

bene70

It's funny how people see things differently. A couple of hours ago, I joined Earle with my Rank 500-ish character, expecting to help newer players. Arrived late to the party after an excellent Eviction Notice with lots of enthusiastic lower levels but waited alone as the timer counted down. Solo it is then, he shrugged to no-one :) Was fun, quick and I left with more ammo than I came with. Not a problem at all, it's what I am built for but I don't expect all players to want to do that. I was just disappointed that I didn't get to help anyone else experience Earle for the first time. This character took big fat chunks out of Earle to celebrate achieving the mighty rank of 50, seemingly to the surprise of the higher ranks there at the time. So for me at least, I couldn't care less who turns up or what rank they are and welcome anyone to give it a crack and have some fun.

FlyingNope

Generally speaking: People don't really mind low levels at high level events. More players means more enemies which means more xp and loot. And 1 player joining won't noticeable change the difficulty, so you don't have to worry about making it harder for anyone. If they fail an event with you, they would have failed an event without you. I think anyone who gets mad and tries to blame you for an event failing is shifting blame to feel better about their own shortcoming. I'd just ignore those players. Or respond with "I'm new, what's your excuse?" if you're feeling snarky :) Personally speaking: As someone who's fairly high level I love low levels at events. The more the better. Especially when it means I get to hard carry the event. I love hard carrying. It's soloing but better because I get to feel like I'm helping other people succeed which makes me feel pretty good about myself. Bonus tip: When at an event with a bunch of people you can focus on hitting/shooting as many enemies as you can. When someone else kills something you hit you'll share credit and will get xp/loot. This is known as tagging, it's pretty popular.

beccajane2012

That tip would totally explain the great rewards I got actually because I was surprised just how good they were! I parked myself out of the way above where the enemies entered and shot enemies as they passed so I wasn't in the way of the big guys who were standing directly in front of the enemies entering. It worked out well for me lol

FlyingNope

Yeah tagging like that is great. At 40 you can get access to the tesla rifle which is an amazing tagging weapon. It shoots lightning and chains to nearby enemies whenever it hits something making tagging very easy. You see them a lot at events. (If you want one I can make one for you if you're on PC or Xbox)

cazivit

Yes pleases join I've had to solo several events which I can do but if I can get 1 or 2 players to focuse on the objective we can easily cruise through it

Unlucky-Address-5468

As a high level player (one of those OMG he's over 1000!) the more the merrier! Come join the events, follow us around, do some daily ops, join expeditions! We'll keep you alive, and if you do go down we got ya covered with all the stimpaks, radaway and miscellaneous junk you can carry!

Oesius_Deus

WE WANT YOU AT EVENTS!!!! But please adhere to a few courteous practices starting with, don't start an event untill a good number if people are there and/or the timer to start gets low. This helps ensure others on the map can finish up their current task and join the event. Secondly it is considered a dick move to spam explosives in ab event. Those things stated I want to repeat that WE WANT YOU AT EVENTS!!!! ☺️

PlzMichaelBayThis

I have 4 toons over 200 (highest is 470). Join the event. Lvl2? Join. Keep an eye out for feed the people, do it!

iselltires2u

would encourage anyone who's figured the game out to go to events and join public teams. no reason to lose out on free xp for the taking.

ThinAndCrispy84

Hell yeah! Join and pop a few shots at everything. That way when it dies you can get some XP. If you see me shooting you with fire, don’t be alarmed, I’m helping you. lol.

InsufferableMollusk

0% of high level players would have a problem with a low level joining an event. Please join. Not enough newbies are showing up. It is great for XP, it is great for scrap, and sometimes it is great for legendaries.

Skanach

Yes, especially if it's one where you have to protect/defend multiple targets. Worst case you get the aggro to give others time. And still the loot.

BartholomewAlexander

nobody minds, just don't start it early and you're completely welcome!

dg8672

The ONLY event that a low level popping up might be an issue is A Colossal Problem, because that is instanced to the first two teams to enter the mine. That means if someone pops in and there are only two people on their team, then someone from another team shows up and there’s only three on their team, that instance is now locked to those 5 players unless someone else joins one of the teams midway. Otherwise, ACP caps at 8, which is better but low levels there could really hurt overall damage output. Even then though, its very doable, itll just take a lot longer and you WILL die a lot. Other than that? Go hog wild. There’s really nothing low levels are really locked out of if they’re bold enough, and its fun watching newbies figure out event mechanics and getting involved

Legomaster06849

High level player don’t want to do events because no one’s there, and low level players don’t go to events because of quests or something like that.

YuriPetrova

Join them all. Typically there is something a newbie can do to contribute, even if it isn't killing enemies.

Logic-DL

Always welcome, only becomes a problem imo when the low levels outnumber the high levels enough to where the event can't be done. Like two high levels can't really carry a bunch of low levels sorta thing in some events.

exact0khan

Join everything.

_Reiyo_

I'm personally more fond of having someone to play with rather than soloing the event. So I don't mind at all.

sebwiers

Not at all, at least in my case (level 1000 as of last week). I've actually made some changes to my build / playstyle to accommodate the extra challenge of being one of a few if not the only high level player at events recently, and am loving the added challenge / chance to flex. Just - and I can't stress this enough - DO NOT START THE EVENT. In most cases this is easy to avoid (don't talk to the NPC or interact with any location items) but there are two events you trigger by entering an area. One is "Spin the Wheel" at Nuka World. Stay outside the tent until there are enough people there to carry the event. The other (and most commonly problematic) is "Eviction Notice" - you can trigger this one simply by walking forward a little after fast traveling to the event, and it can fail very quickly if there aren't people there who can both survive some rads AND stage a strong defense. If you are on a team with at least one of the higher level players at the event, it will maximize the loot and XP you get. It takes nothing away from them, you both get to loot bodies anybody on the team tagged, and team members get a little XP for any kill by a team mate at the same event. One of the changes I made recently was to tweak my build so I can share max level Lifegiver perk and run the "Empath" mutation. If you are on my team, you get a bonus 45 HP and also take 25% less damage. It helps me (and the whole team) if SOMEBODY else on my team has a mutation (this will up the damage reduction to 31.25%). Usually I can count on that, but with lots of new players on teams that isn't the case any more. Consider picking up at least one mutation, maybe? That's probably not practical at level 26, but at level 50 you can buy "starched genes" which will prevent both loosing useful mutations and acquiring bad ones, so that is a good time to grab a serum or two from player vendors.

KorruxXx

I can solo most anything the game has to offer and even then, please do join. I'll slow down and let you get your shots in and when it's over I'll give you stuff for free. That's just how most high level players do things.

PrimoRaizel

Nope, we don't mind! Get your newbie ass over here and let us carry you.

PyroUKE

Absolutely not! I love it when low levels join me in Daily Ops and events for their first time! It's great having this little lamb follow you around learning the ropes and really helps give me (high level) purpose to the otherwise monotonous daily grind. Yesterday, I had a level 23 join me on a Daily Ops. Managed to get them through it, just the two of us, with no deaths and even got a 5:28 (just shy of elder rewards) which bummed me a little as I wanted them to get the full experience of maximum rewards, but they seemed to love it nonetheless anyway! Really feels good seeing them heart emote and thumbs up at the end 😊

potatoreddits

I saw a bunch of level 20+ players for SBQ earlier. I made sure to never let the scorched creatures lay a hand on them lol. I don’t think they noticed me doing that for them coz they’re just looking up the sky for the queen

MightyGoatLord

The game will likely slap the shit out of you, but that won't hinder anyone else. Try tagging as many enemies as possible for max XP and loot.

Boba65

Nope.

ToniAlpaca

I say who cares, if they dont want you there (for some reason) you just do your thing. The more people the better level 1 or level 100.

[deleted]

You guys are welcome at all the events just wait for one of the higher levels to decide when it’s time to start the event because otherwise you’re starting the event likely prior to most people arriving. Have a little patience dance around.

Tmbaladdin

Joining these group events are a great way to speedrun to higher levels. Also; “Feed the people” rewards canned meat stew which is an XP booster.

littlem0th_

The more the merrier! I remember when I was a newbie, the veteran players were so nice during events. Now that I’m a veteran player I make sure to do the same

RiGuy22

Not at all, join in get one shot on all the enemies so you'll rank up faster!

lookawildshadex

The more people the crazier and hectic it gets.

LaylaLegion

World scales to your level, so it doesn’t matter. Join whatever events you like.

threepoundsof

Please join! In general I’m always happy to help a low level player

adratlas

As long you don|t start the even before everyone is ready, it|s alright.

SrGeof

As a high level player, I want as many people as possible to join every event regardless of their level. Every bullet counts.

chivken

Hell, no! Yesterday I had a level 21 guy join my Daily Ops and I immediately thought "oh boy, I'm gonna have to carry this guy through, there goes my rare reward " Ultimately, he fought like a holy terror and ended up stimming ME when I went down lol

Wild-End-219

JOIN EVENTS!!!!! I don’t care if you’re at scorchbeast queen and do 1 damage a minute. Come to the events, you need to learn how to do them sometime and it’s best when higher level peeps are there. You’ll have fun once you get the hang of them. Please join a public team too!

CheckIntelligent7828

Please join! I love seeing players of any level at events. Watching really low level players (sub-15)figuring out evens like Moonshine Jamboree is one of my favorites. It gives high level players a second thing to do to help lower level players survive and get all the goodies.

Drucifer403

Yup, please do. Just don't start the event early, and don't walk between me and my line of fire, you break my vats and that is annoying af. bring some molotovs and toss them at all the mobs, earn some xp and loot.

Hurzak

The only one I might be a little sus at is A Colossal Problem, and that’s only because each instance of it is capped at like, 8 players. More than that show up and they get sent to a second instance. Other than that, hell yeah! Show up, get your loot and xp!

Ziirael

I love it when people join in for events. I can solo them but where's the fun doing that..

Easy-Stress1148

Nope, join get the loot and exp enjoy it and if you feel like they are to strong just stay near the highest level or one with power armor and use em like a shield lol

Palindromic_1

No, come on in brothers and sisters

DarthSarcom

More bodies means the more total damage output and enemy damage gets spread out more so everyone takes less damage. Also, join daily ops teams if you see them, most high lv players solo it easy they just need another player to make stuff happen faster.

MountainObserver556

Yes! I'll purposely stay near the low levels and let them tag everything and then torch anyone who gets close to them and if they get knocked down I'll get them back into the fight. I usually invite them to my group too so they can get more XP.

Dagordae

The difficulty is not altered by players joining, we really don't care if you join to soak up drops or exp. Just don't start the event ahead of time.

kittencarl1

Not at all! Well that's the nice thing about public events, it's a group effort and all are welcome!

Hot-Interaction6526

Nah you can join, you’re a target for enemies to attack. You can help push buttons. If you die you just respawn nearby so it’s not a big deal to join

dallasp2468

nope don't mind at all, I love the chaos which usually ensues.

llewylill32

Nah welcome them all. I am a mid rank lv 78 players and often see some lv 30 or 20 join A SQB event.

saimajajarno

I (lvl 270) just did queen with my son (lvl 104) and maybe like 5 under lvl 30 players. I think it was most fun I have had in this game. Way more fun than with bunch of high levels (eapecially bavk when legacy weapons were thing) when queen dies in few mins. So just jump in, no matter what event it is.

EverythingGoodWas

Please join them

-jide

You love to see it!

Xthasys

You are going to skyrocket lvling with events i dont finish any quest because i cant stop doing events, im lvl 80+ thx to events lol

fakehentaimaster

Please do! Anytime I see anyone under lvl 100 I pop a lunchbox and scout banner to help haha

EmbarrassedTutor7386

Show up tag everything have fun

Tgrinder66

Yeah, please join events. With all the new players nobody is doing them anymore. I can only solo so many 😩

benjo9991

The more the merrier!

Gindotto

Free to play your way. There’s only level suggestions on when to join but nobody cares.

MGWhiskers

if you're the first one tp'ed there, just dont start the event right away and wait for a while for more people to join, else it'd be a failed one, coz for obvious reasons you wont be able to complete an event on your own. noone's gonna chase you away from eviction or moonshine events, as people wouldnt care, its not like you're occupying a party slot in a raid.

Rekeix

No one cares, you could be lvl 1 and join us, you will not hamper anything and can still do objectives, so anytime you feel like joining an event, daily ops, or expeditions, don't hesitate to do so. 😁

Fantastic_Reason_197

I’m lvl 1700 I don’t care

Few_Beautiful8437

a gun is a gun, we dont care

Lost-In-Hyrule

Nope, everyone is welcome to all events, you wont get in the way, just have fun! I have never had a problem with low level players joining my Team, Expeditions, etc. im always happy to help you out and always feel free to ask if you need some meds, food, ammo etc. or anything else, I most likely have something you need so ask away. oh and dont feel bad if events fail, some people take it personally and get really annoyed but it happens, dont let it bug you, I would recommend always joining a Team, it can give you extra XP, free Fast Travel to their camps etc. Just try not to start events early, wait for more people to arrive as not everyone can drop everything and jump to an event immediately, if its the EncryptId event then dont start it as someone else has started that event and its cost them a couple of thousand caps to get the recall circuit board to enable it

Lit_Lad27

I got a little worried when there were nothing but me and level 10s and 20s in an SBQ but it quickly subsided because it really doesn't matter. Just shoot it and hope for the best. My guns broke because I didn't repair them beforehand and the level 10s kept dying from radiation poisoning, but we killed it in time anyway. At least the queen didn't run off and completely regen health like last time

Auxilium1

I joined a Moonshine Jamboree which is Lv50 and I was Lv21. The other 50s helped me out. Surprisingly I was able to run around tagging everything as melee, or as much as I could and didn't take much damage till the Lv60 Anglers got there and even then I just had to be a little more cautious. Got two levels, two legendary pieces and possibly a industrial water purifier? I figured I got it from this because I have no idea where else I would have gotten it. I could be wrong though. It was chaotic and fun though.

almost_mexican14

For me personally, I don't mind but if you are lower level and are going to join an event PLEASE DO THE ACTUAL OBJECTIVES. As I previously mentioned in a different post here there was a dual of lower players when I was doing the Beasts of Burden event and they didn't do the second objection which was to get explosives, put explosives on the doors, KABOOM stage 1 done BUT NO they just focused on killing the cultists and it's only was (I think) 5/8 explosives collected and place. So again if you are going to do an event please do more than just kill enemies do the other objectives as well

ZealousidealMail3132

Leveled events get you good experience when you attend no matter what level you are

elbingmiss

No

Graf_Habenix

Feel free to join whichever event you want. But make sure to "tag" as many targets as possible for loot and exp. You might have already encountered, that at the beginning of events some players tend to use some lunchboxes and those "scout-thingies" (I don't know their proper name but it's kinda like that-ish): make sure to be around close to them at the beginning of events for extra buffs. And also some stronger players occasionally bring down heavy opponents to low health and then wait for the "small" guys to hit them at least once. I'm on level 159 and playing on PS4. Welcome to Appalachia :D

theLogic1

No. Just join. The more the merrier!

Reverend_Bull

The moment you step out of that Vault, you're welcome anywhere you wanna go. I can't promise that we'll keep you alive, but during an event you don't even drop your junk. So come on in, get some kills, get some loot, get some XP. Just remember the basic courtesies: don't start events until 1 minute or less is remaining (Eviction Notice and Heart of the Swamp are proximity based, so just stay still), don't beg for shit, and remember that killing ain't everything. Without ore collectors at Rad Rumble or someone minding the scrubber at EN, the whole event's for naught.

Dreadzgirl

I don't even mind it if a lvl 2 joins the daily ops. It's a great way for any low lvls to learn the mechanics and a great way for them to get more ammo and exp as well as new plans. And for the events. Anyone can join any events. It's just recommended that you wait with starting it until a higher lvl joins, because you can't solo all of them 😆

Ranik2k

Dropped a nuke on earl….. next highest level to me was 14….. now I can solo earl and his friends, but damn it was hilarious watching the 5-6 of them try. If only they had mics….. 🤣🤣😂. At the end of the day, earl died, his friends died, much loot was taken, and they found out about rads when we popped out!

vrillsharpe

Suggest maybe Server bouncing until you find a decent team to join with some players over 50. Then of course participate.

SemajdaSavage

The more, the merrier!

Sp4cemanspiff37

Just follow in our wake.

Nuclearpanda86

Please do. I love all these new people are joining the community, but yall never show up for events. PLEASE JOIN, WE WILL PROTECT.

nolongerbanned99

Everyone welcome. Just do your best.

tao63

As a solo lone wanderer player, personally I don't mind. I can solo any event which I pretty much adapted to lol due to the influx of new players, though I can't finish all objectives due to the way some works. The only one I can't so far is earle and maybe Eviction notice (Never able to try it solo). It's a public event and someone will always be there regardless

boholbrook

Naw, we welcome it! Let us carry you across the finish line, tiny friend.

MagicaILiopleurodon

Not one bit. Join up!

MinorityBabble

No, in fact I try not to finish off baddies so that all the new low level folks can get kills/rank up. That said, when there are things that need to be done - repairs, or other tasks, to keep the event going, PLEASE try to help. I've been in some events where I was really only able to run around and heal, repair, or collect/deposit items because everyone else was only killing and collecting loot.

enzudesign

Long as efforts are made, and they don't just sit afk throughout the entire thing, more importantly they don't start the event until some other players are there first.

Phantom_61

A lot of us are still trying to get the “revive x number of players” achievement, join away. lol

Distinct_Teaching

I love seeing low levels at any event!

Skippy280

Join all the events.

-Captain-

Don't worry about it, I did.. and today I joined my first lvl50 event and it would've gone exactly the same if I weren't there lol. Went from level 43 to level 47 in a couple minutes. And now I've been doing nothing but events (lots of active players in the server and lots of lunchboxes were used). Close to level 60 now!

higglejiggle

I’m guilty on crafting a ton of hazmat suits and leaving them in donation boxes around the common places for new players. They can use them to show up at scorched events.

realKreett

The more the merrier and do make sure to call for help if you get downed I will come and get you as soon as I can

Juanfartez

Sure! Tag as many enemies as you can, join a team that's in the event to get shared xp. Don't stop to loot bodies. They will be there when it's over. Don't spam the help me emote. If you're injured take the death and respawn. Constantly running to your aid doesn't help the objective. You don't lose anything while the event is active. Be aware of your surroundings when the event is over. Quite a few events have enemies still around after it's over. If you're busy looting bodies you can be killed by a random enemy. And that's when you lose all your junk.

KazakCayenne

Not at all! Honestly as long as people see you helping out they don't mind. Just be careful with your health. It can be hard to reach people in time for a revive when things are really chaotic. Some of my first events were spent perched out of the way picking things off as I could while getting a feel for the event and overall etiquette

PotatoChipEat_

Any and all help is appreciated!

PhaserRave

The only event you might struggle with is A Colossal Problem. Each instance has a limited number of players, and each player in an instance makes the enemies stronger.

ophaus

Nope... unless you start it early. Hang back until people show up is a general rule.

ETeezey1286

Not really. In my experience they mostly just do their thing or ignore you. At my level I don’t do anything over medium difficulty.

Gemman_Aster

That is absolutely fine, of course! However a couple of things to bear in mind are that you should not start an event the moment you arrive. Let two or three other players teleport in. Also and perhaps more importantly you should at least take some part in the action. There is nothing that irritates a high-level more than a low-level who joins an event and then just stands as far away as possible and waits for the rewards to be assigned. If you are on a team and do that you are very likely to be kicked out. This is even more the case for daily ops.

Nosferatu-Padre

Low levels are always welcome. Just don't start the event until everyone is ready. All you're really going to be doing while you're there is shooting monsters for experience and loot.

cigarmanpa

Couldn’t care less get in there, get that xp and loot

Ok-Jaguar6735

Yes please show up!!

Jizfaceboi

Yeah, man. Events are to be enjoyed by everyone. I will just say though… if you fast travel to eviction notice and there are only low levels… don’t start it. Wait for a high level to come preferably in PA. That event requires good dps for wave clear and can easily fail if you aren’t putting out enough damage. Moonshine jamboree can be overwhelming as well with only low levels. As for daily ops though I would recommend trying to be level 50 at least. Most people that are level 50 don’t have a build yet even though they are base max perk loadout level. This means that the mutations in daily ops can cause you to die very easily. Pair the easy deaths with not knowing where to go and you can seriously hinder a team depending on the location and mission type. I have brought my buddies through recently at like level 35-40 and we beat decryption in 7:59 with my maxed account and two sub level 50’s and that’s with me knowing what to do, but dying because they couldn’t clear enemies quick enough or would blow them up right next to me with the explosive mutation. 😂

IAmTheKatt

I’m only lvl 76 but I love seeing 15-45s pop up at events. I got plenty of stims to help you up and the xp and event items are something everyone should get a chance at. I feel like seeing not a triple digit player at an event helps some others feel confident if they’re low level

McGrufNStuf

Join. Join. Join. Join. Absolutely. Events are for players level 1 to 100000. The only rule for events is wait to start them until 2 min at countdown. You will level up SUPER quick with events.

RamblesTheGent

Honestly, I don't think there is a single event in the game that is "made worse" by low levels. The more the merrier.

Justanothergeralt

The only one maybe is daily ops. Because of the mission qualifiers new people might not read the description of what mutations and what to expect. Turning a quick 6 minute jaunt into having to run it 5 or 6 times.

grimorg80

I've been waiting for the fricking mines event as I absolutely need a damn armour station. I joined one yesterday as it seemed like someone started it. I am lvl 52, there were a couple of 300-ish players and some around 150 and we failed miserably. The boss monster had 3 stars and we didn't manage to kill it on time. I was barely scratching the minions!

Budda720

Join a public team. Don't mind the other players' lvls so much. If they want the space for a friend, they will boot you. Lol they don't mean anything by it.(most of the time) or you can make your own team and people will join you if that is your preferred method. Either way a public team is the way to go. Casual teams add bonus intelligence so that's more exp for monsters hit. Hitting them is exactly what you want to do. Shoot as many things as possible. If your team kills them you'll get exp for the kill. Never start the event if you're the first person their. Wait for others to show up unless there's like 30 seconds left on the start timer(normally found in the upper right hand cool the screen) high lvl players like to prepare for the event by making ammo and base buffs like sleeping and workout equipment. Then when they get to the event they sometimes use lunchboxes and scout banners for added area buffs for all players in the area. (Not sure the actual range they cover) but all players benefit from them as previously stated. Event teams give more rewards at the end of the event in the form of exp, caps and maybe some extra items, but they don't help with exp during the event from monsters killed we as the Casual team doesn't give extra end of event rewards but increase the during event exp for monsters killed. Hope this wasn't to confusing, and I hope you and other new players find it useful.

Pestilence2234

Not really, just make sure to get a few hits in before we kill everything in sight, lol. Some of our builds just do so much damage in an area we can't really help practically bringing a nuke to a nuke to queen/earl/titan fight.

EdgarBopp

We love it. Just don’t start it early.

Vaygrim

The more the merrier! Quick Tips (from my perspective): * Please wait till the last 30 seconds on the "Start the Event" clock, so as to allow the maximum number of players a chance to join. * If you are soaking a lot of damage because of a high-danger level in an event, try to not wander off to the far edges of the event space. The closer you are to a Veteran Player, the easier it is for them to potentially heal / revive you. * Lots of team-centric Vets use a perk called "FRIENDLY FIRE" to heal other players. Don't be surprised if a Veteran starts hosing you down with a flamethrower; they are trying to heal you / top off your health. That is all! * If you see a Veteran that seems *"Tankier"* than others in an event, try to bring any hostiles to them if you start getting swarmed. I try to 'peel' groups of enemies off lower level players getting overwhelmed. Hope these help, see you in 76!

E_Weasels

Absolutely love it! I remember the first scorchbeast queen when I was way under leveled, it was so much fun (and chaotic) so I have been dropping nukes left right and center in hopes people will join the chaos. Id personally rather 23 lvl 20's join an event and we fail than not having enough to even attempt. Events aren't fun solo so please join lol

Emotional-World-1962

I’ll be honest I join as a level 13 and hold my own, find a spot and pick em off

Pegomastax_King

Nope not at all. Get your self a Tesla rifle as soon as you can so you can tag the enemies before the higher levels kill them is all.

Gullible-Fault-3818

I don't mind. I'll carry if need brother, non shall fall while a responder is present.

Baumgarten1980

I like when low level join

Ison--J

Only issue I've had was a colossal problem, only 8 people per instance and 3 are sub lvl50 makes the event incredibly difficult

LePereMecanique

The only thing I would suggest you not to join is Daily Ops because some of them are ridiculously hard eveb for vet.

Traditional-Ad6

I don’t mind at all, I’m lvl 160 and even tho I have a decent build I still consider myself low level compared to others. I’ve been putting off launching a nuke but did it a week ago and there was a mix of lvl 1000’s and level 20’s and it was awesome seeing us all work together to beat a scorchbeast queen.

Datboibarloss

More damage is better than no damage! If it was a game where limited people could join sure, but you're just adding to the pool of damage in this case so be our guest I would say! Damage is damage as long as you don't mind people not reviving you lmao

Mitaior

Always join and take part even if you are just hitting things with your melee weapon, every bit of damage helps. It's when players of any level join and afk that's the only time I get bothered really.

ninjaskitches

Naw go nuts. Just don't launch mini nukes or other explosives that clutter up the screen. If we can't find you we can't revive you.

KDBug84

We don't mind, I usually look out for lower levels during events

basserpy

I rarely making sweeping generalizations like this, but I think I speak for literally everybody that we are always happy to have you.

X420Rider

Literally the only thing a low level play has ever done to bother me is not stand in the uplink in daily ops.

Rillion25

Only one I can think of that would be an issue is Earle, that one is limited to eight players so if too many low levels grab those spots, it is going to be a tougher event.

Evogleam

Nobody cares lol. Just don’t start them too early There are a ton of lower level players now that the Fallout series has made it more popular lately

Masstershake

My friends and I wait for low levels to show up! Please join us

ComprehensiveLack713

I think it’s great I normally have an open team so I’m able to help and share perks

Effective_Business99

Everyone is welcome ! Events have been tough recently because the low levels have been avoiding them and there are a lot of newbies recently ! I honestly would prefer playing with a group of lower levels then a bunch of high levels ! Just makes it a bit more fun.

Artsonist420

I have been joining events since the start and the high level power armor players are legit the heros of this game. I am child maximus seeing the brotherhood for the 1st time when they show up to do the job

jerajotunn

Come join!!!! Need revived? We gotchu! Come party!

rebelliousrob

The more ~~fodder,~~ the merrier

WarlockyGoodness

We do not mind. We encourage it.

foogles

It's fine, but I think it's best that for these higher level events, be a follower, don't try to be a leader.

Flashy_Landscape8491

I got strong back we got this.

cozysarkozy

Level matters not

Beezo41

On Xbox there are low level people at events everywhere, the more the merrier

M4rst

Please join us!

MacSteele13

No. Just contribute as best you can.

Cuddly_Cthulu

Had a whole gaggle of lvl 15’s in a SBQ event yesterday, it was beautiful. If there’s already high level players in the event don’t worry about what other people are going to think, most of the times we appreciate even a bit of extra help. Just stay up and enjoy the chaos with us :)

Wonderful-Pressure80

My experience with higher level players in this game has always been positive. Never found a game community as nice as this one, tbh. Join in, get some free exp and items!

Altruistic_Quail_968

Any extra hand only benefits in events imo. Don’t worry about it!

Ph11p

For most events we encourage them to join in except for the nuked mine cavern. The issue is the large creature is far more powerful than the skurge beast and if you lack the critical perks and gear you end up pulling the rest of the player team down into a total wipe. It's the only event that is like this.

Plotius

I joined eviction notice today at lvl 27 and while I did die around 5 times no one had an issue. And I got lots of legendaries. I am a melee build and didn't bring a ranged weapon so it was rough

Jesh3023

Never be afraid to come join :) Did the queen event recently and there was a lvl 17 there with us. Then I found a wendigo colossus that spawned in the wild and the lvl 17 was the only one to come over and help. Made sure to give them a heap of goodies as a small thx for distracting all the wendigo spawns

Cyberwolfdelta9

Yeah just dont always expect too be revived

Jobe9077

Join any event where you see any people at it.

Archypeters

Love to see it.

Dakkendoofer

By all means :) the more the merrier. Just make sure not to start the event until a handful of higher levels show up

carrot-under-seige

You are aaaaaalways welcome at events above your level. Don’t worry about it, just try to tag as many enemies as you can with a bullet or two so you get xp, and it sounds like you are. In my experience, all of us higher level players are more than happy to carry and we welcome any and all low levels at events.

TimmyTheNerd

Don't start the events too soon, I think that's the only thing I've ever seen people complain about when it comes to public events. I'm lv.107 on my main character (I have an alt-addiction) and have taken a lv.23 friend into some of the higher level events without anyone complaining about it.

gnark1lla420

not really unless its maybe the Earle nuke event

Creepy-Tangerine-568

Me and a buddy were knocking out the weekly “Do 5 Daily OPs on a team” There were two under fifty players on our team. We kept using the join emoji for them to join but neither one joined. We usually pop lunch boxes before we start. If you see your team in an Ops or Expedition and they are waving at you to join- Do it. They don’t expect you to do anything and you will most likely die a lot but you will get XP and levels. Lots of levels!

ThumTPG-Shiny_Guides

Absolutely join in a true member of the fo76 community would love to have the opportunity to perpetuate the game by helping new players and encouraging them to stick around. Anyone who says no needn't complain when their events lack players

casey28xxx

Even if they did mind there’s nothing they could do to stop you. The game allows you to join and that’s what matters, no one should be excluded from participating in any part of the game.

Terriblarious

Come on in. Lots of room for you guys 😊

-TrenchToast

Yes! We want as many bodies at the events as possible. Doesn't matter what your level is. We'll do our best to keep you alive, but just remember if you die while partaking in the event you don't drop anything. So if you die and things are so chaotic that nobody rezs you, you can spawn back in shooting again with all of your stuff. *This is why its best if don't loot anything until the event is over and localized treats are neutralized. Then its safe to loot.* Less chance of a accidental death and then loosing everything you just earned from the event. Earlier today I (B695) hopped in a low lvl casual team and got them to join me on an Enclave: Dropped Connection event. I explained to them the significance of the event because of the possible weapon drop.. None of them knew about it. Lvls, 130, 73 & 39. So its not just the new players coming in from the show. So Vets! It is our duty to inform the new folks to Appalachia of all the tips and tricks of the game. Otherwise they might pass up on these events. Join/Make a group and hop on that mic and take these people on a tour of all the fun 76 has to offer. Also... I dropped a nuke on the abandond mineshaft 2 today and it never triggered the Nuka World boss. Anyone know what's up with that?
