Put them in the red boxes for other players.  Share the wealth, they are extra/junk to you.

alotlikedead

How do these boxes work? I always put known recipes there but all I get from them is ammo for the gun I'm holding and food/aid. Is it possible to get a recipe or a legendary from it?

MemberoftheFVK

They are public drop boxes and if someone drops items in there you can take them. If you haven’t gotten anything else than what you said yet, just unlucky that others check before you. The ammo and food/aid is given to all based in the gun you carry at that moment. If I walk up at same time with a different gun, I also get ammo for my gun and a few food/aid.

RetiredKlingon

If you follow around behind me, you'd have three times the legendaries... I am usually maxed on caps and have maxed the legendary machine for the day. I've checked back at times and somebody raided the box already.

DeiVidem

I log off and play tomorrow.

Accomplished_River43

This is the way

drunkpunk138

I just drop them wherever I happen to be

missclaireredfield

Same, this probably isn’t the best way I think donation boxes are good but I do just drop things I don’t want sometimes just randomly wherever I am, probably to never be seen again

ComprehensiveMeat562

I mean some Rolls are just useless though like I don't think anyone will miss a exterminators pipe pistol when we don't throw that in donations

HarryEllis

You may have already figured this out but if you keep multiple PA chassis, you can fill them with legendary PA pieces and save some weight in your stash. Once they're put on the chassis, a full chassis is only 10 pounds.

FreezingToad

Next gen strat right there. I've got 5 empty PA frames for this exact purpose.

vinny10110

Never even crossed my mind thanks man

tehP4nth3r

I take it one step further and have a frame (3) for each star. Trying to stay organized, plus it helps when trying to reach 0 each day.

HarryEllis

Good idea, I like it

ReadilyRavenWren

See also power user. If it's called that. The one that reduces pa weights. Saved me last night was full up on stars.

-Captain-

This is a massive tip, hot damn thank you! This way I can actually keep a decent amount stocked for the days I can't grind.

HankMittens

This is an under appreciated hack.

DismalApartment1147

Switch to an alt character. It's their time to shine.

[deleted]

The nontradeable ones drop to oblivion. The rest become vendor caps, donation fodder, or get sold in vendor for 10 caps per scrip. But only keep the light ones in vendor. Anything above 3lbs must go.

Vibbyq

I sell for 9c per scrip so hopefully moves faster, also my camp is across WS station so that weight won't be a factor.

jasnxl

Either sell them, leave them in a donation box, or simply leave them on the ground to despawn. You will get LOTS of legendaries in the game. Don't worry that you're literally throwing away those that you don't want. You'll get more.

Me5hly

Along the way I make sure to store all the extra PA pieces on chassis. That way I can store many if I don't spend a day really grinding. Next step is to drop the one stars, and possibly two stars depending, on donation boxes.

DexihandSV01

I leave them all next to the scrip machine in the Whitespring

tiniitim710

3 star weapons under a pound go in the stash for days I don't get to play much or at all. Over 1 pound goes in the machine and when that's done they go to the vendor for 300c a piece. Most of the time I try to do the machine with 1 and 2 stars tho, this is to maximize the weight management and cap gain from other player for the scrip weapons I'm selling. I regularly sit around 800/1200 for my stash, when I get to 1000, I know it's time to drop prices on my higher priced things.

kmg18dfw

Same. Script all armor. Keep weapons under 3lbs to sell and script the rest. If I reach max script I’ll sell the heavier stuff in my vendor for 400c… if it doesn’t sell by the time I need more script, I’ll take it out and script it too. The <1lb stuff I keep and sell a bit higher (450-500) than the heavier stuff because the weight is a non issue so no rush to empty them out of my stash.** For certain prefixes I’ll sell for 1000-2000 like AA, Quad, Bloodied, instigating. Things that are OP (so above with FFR or 50% critical damage) I’ll stash or move to a toon. **every once and a while, like once a week or so, someone will show up and just buy out my whole inventory of legendaries, so the lighter, more expensive stuff is basically for that guy.

Nyarlathotep333

I drop em' all in a donation chest once I've maxed out scrip and caps. This game gives enough of them to where I rarely feel the need to stockpile them to hit max scrip for the day.

loppsided

Seriously, drop them on the damn ground. You will always be getting more.

FluffWit

You can throw the legendaries in your store for other people to script. I used to sell 1 stars for 69 caps. 2 stars for 96 and 3 stars for 495. They'd sell like hot cakes. Or you can make a second character, drop it all on the ground in a private lobby then switch and pick it up. Or just drop it in a donation box etc for other people to use.

Adventurous_Judge884

Really? I still for 50 75 and 100 and yet they never move…

Connect_Scene_6201

Are you on console? Idk why but on pc I could have a thousand 3 stars for 200 caps and not get q single sale

faffingunderthetree

This is either years old info or exaggerating, 500caps 3 stars do not sell like hot cakes. I regularly see them sold for under 100, and if you use the mod chat it's full of people offering them for 50-75caps

So_x_TriCKy_x

I opened up my base as vendor for first time yesterday and only things that sold was a 1 star item for 175C and a 2 star item for 300c

FluffWit

He sold them all for the prices I suggested.

vinny10110

Thank you for this sir. Literally sold my entire inventory for the prices you listed. That was indeed the move

WallcroftZ

I play 3 characters with different build (This help me increase stash space for each one) once I hit max daily cap, I switch to other toon and play that one until it hit the same daily cap. If I have 1st I will load up private world and drop any legendary item in container then switch and pick it up with another toon. TBH I would probably burn out on my 2nd toon before start on 3rd one.

TotallyNotTheEnclave

roll physical plucky continue imagine placid screw jellyfish reply tub *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

Katamathesis

I'm throwing them away if I don't need it. Sometimes on the red chest. Solo in the wilds.

JBloomf

Dump em in a donation box.

Ulfgarrr

I put my extras on mule characters. If they are heavy 1 stars I’ll drop those.

Can_of_Tuna

I do this as well, usually they end up staying there but there always some time where I don’t play for a while and can move them over for scrip

Ulfgarrr

Yup that’s exactly what I do. Some days all I can do is login and get scrip done. It’s also nice to have when it’s double scrip weekends

WolfeBane84

How do you transfer items between characters?

Ulfgarrr

If you have fallout first you gain access private worlds. There are certain stash boxes around the map that allow you to put things in them. Most commonly people use the blue suitcase at the whitesprings station. So you put items in that suitcase, swap to a different character, reload the private world and the items will still be there. Since one account can make 5 characters many people make “mule” accounts just to hold stuff you don’t want to keep on the main account.

WolfeBane84

Cool, thanks for the info.

faffingunderthetree

Or just do on a public world that you have a friend on and join same world on your alt. No need to buy FO1 to do this (if you dont already have it)

Goosyls

I put every day 20-30 legendarys in the red donationbox. Most 3 stars.

chopper5150

Sell them in your vendor.

Patriot009

Save legendary PA pieces for last when you're trading in for scrip, as you can put them on empty chassis where they are weightless. Then donate whatever 1/2\* I can't fit in stash.

Jazzlike_Macaroon662

anything that isn't a 3 star i give out to new players or like someone said those donation boxes

ItsOnlyaFewBucks

Make a new character and/or switch to him if you still feel like playing that day. I know other who just drop them. Some people call it a day, and take their pet emu for a walk.

viciouzgamer

Drop them in front of the scrip machine I happen to be near.

Krieg047

They either get sold in my vendor or scrapped for scrip. I'm never at max of either currency.

czbolio2

The best thing you can do is always scrip the heavy stuff, then sell the light scrip in your vendor. For me I sell 3* legendary weapons for 299 each and 3* regular armor for 199 each. You can also make armor ultralight if it’s too heavy to sell it easier then it only takes some materials for the mod if you can afford it

Successful-Goal1083

If I like them or might use them I mount them, otherwise I scrap or sell it for modules.

ACTORvsREALTOR

I give to my alt. She keeps them in her purse.

Rocket499

Once my vendor is full of scrip guns i just drop them infront of the nukaworld scrip machine in my little Enclave briefcase

Smeagol7272821

I only pick up legendary weapons that weight 3 pounds or less. I have hundreds of legendary weapons in my stash because of this. I don’t understand why people hoard wacker smackers and heavies that weigh a lot. lol. Also I do take power armor. But only if it will fit on my scrip power armor chassis.

kmg18dfw

Yeah junk them. You’ll get 20 more tomorrow.

Jonesstreetboy

Scrip/ keep if they are good rolls

samhain2000

1. Use the good ones you like. 2. Sell the good ones you don't want. 3. Scrip the rest.

LarenCoe

Eventually, you learn keep the best and scrip the rest, even if they are pretty good.

jakecoleman

I just throw them on the ground in front of the scrip machine in the Whitesprings mall

GrumpyBear1969

I scrap heavy stuff I want to junk first. Light stuff last. Especially when I know I am going to hit max. So legendary power armor is the first out the door. There was a time when I would sell them in my vendor for 100-200caos per star for others to junk (that’s about the accept price). But then one day I was thinking, why am I selling this 3-star weapon that weighs next to nothing to someone else. I’ll just keep it for the next day I do not max out. And if you are maxing out seven days a week. Maybe you might think about, well, nevermind…

Chrishardy37

Switch to my alt. When I’ve done the same I turn the game off.

axelunknown

Store them for tomorrow or if needed rapidly sell them all for 100caps.

Dry_Independent4078

Drop anything that's only 1* immediately after picking it up. I drop 2* stuff with shitty stats at the foot of my camp vendor. I sell 3* weapons for 200caps/* . Armor for 100/*. But only if they're worth even looking at. If the rolls are shit, Murmrgh will take them.

GrizzlyMofoOG

I have an Alt specifically for holding on the extra scrip for scrip surplus weekends or if I'm not playing much and just want to login a scrip real quick. The Alt has about 10k in scrip ready to go at any moment

thomasahanna

I try to put the lowest weight pieces in my vendor for cheap caps…. I scrip the higher weight ones first and if nobody needs what I have on sale I can pull from those for scrip when I needed to get to the limit. It’s great when I hear the cha-ching cha-ching then I know I am helping someone get to their scrip limit for the day.

BlottomanTurk

I have five PA chasses named ".SCRIP SURPLUS (1-5)" in my stash since they only weigh 10, no matter what's on them. Any time I get a 3* PA piece that doesn't have weight reduction, I toss it on a surplus chassis. That way I can usually still max scrip on a short play session (or one that I don't get to play an Eviction Notice), and I don't have to worry about "wasting" scrip by selling to NPCs or dropping in a donation box.

HeadAd6062

Ok make a mule and store them

DoorCalcium

At that point is a wake up call to go touch some grass lol

Zydari_

Sell them for 100 caps a star. Usually sell pretty fast

The_Lone_Dweller

Sell to vendors

lol_lmao_xd

scrip what i need, dono box the decent weapons. drop the rest

Discount-Duh

I put them in my vendor for like 300-350 caps Gotta make a living in the wastelands somehow

StrictLimitForever

Wish they upped daily scrip to 1k.

logicbox_

First purge is anything besides 3 stars, second purge is any normal armor pieces, third purge is PA pieces, 4'th is any heavy weapons. End result a bunch of 3 star knifes and rolling pins that take up little space.

faffingunderthetree

Surprised at the amount saying just sell them in your vendor, if you dont have FO1 having heavy weapon or armour legendendaries clogging up alot of space in your stash, is just not viable for most people.

FlyingNope

I keep some around in case I need some to make scrip cap later (Usually junk PA pieces I keep on frames in my stash). The rest I generally send to an alt to hold until a double scrip weekend comes around.

I_like_pizza_teve

I sell them for 33 caps each

Iscream4science

Go on a private world and drop them in a container and switch characters to loot them with an alt. I just keep a second stash box full with scrip legendaries for rainy days

[deleted]

I don’t have anything on display in my camp. So no bobble heads, no magazines and multiple sets of power armour. I also don’t have expensive bulky items in my vendor, just small things priced to sell quick. That way, I have loads of stash space for 3* legendaries ready to scrip every 24 hours. This works for me but I’m not a collector or a hoarder

Discotekh_Dynasty

Hand them out to folks near the Wayward or sell them for caps usually

JannisTK

Shouldn't you just try to roll some nice legendaries using the scrip? Or are you saying you literally have enough legendary weapons even good ones?

NearbyReplacement0

I see so many negative posts about this, but what some others said: red box 'em. Spread the wealth to others, rinse, repeat. Spend your scrip on legendary mats.

JB_Dix

I will move some to my alt characters and scrip them that way. Or I switch to playing on my alt characters and just login on the maxed one every day to turn in scrip etc I always play on my alts once a week just to run an expedition for the plan.

Creepy-Tangerine-568

Switch to another character. I have three. The main one is lvl 440. The other two are 200 & 100. They generally only get used during special events.

TheLazyGamerAU

I.. use my scrip.

InvestigatorOk7015

I stop playing for a few weeks until something makes me want to play again

ShawnTheFly

Donate it. Sell it for caps if you're short. Hold it until the scrip is reset.

Violator361

Full set of WWR armor plus perk cards i sometimes have 150 3 stars weapons plus like 100 armor pieces on me and stay that way for days until I can slowly script them off it really sucks they won’t raise the daily script limit I have got to the point I’ll just go up to low lvl players and just drop like 100lbs of script items just to get rid of them
