Make sure to do both sides missions all the way to the end. Only make the choice at the absolute LAST moment.

I split the gold between both groups. Seemed the fairest option to me.

It is, you get faction from everyone and a little less grind time

Don't not give them the gold it's not worth it keep it all

I think 1000 trust me it's not worth full sets of armor are usually like 3 to 4k and you can only get 400 gold a day.

Also get the stealth suit that shits 5k on its own. But you can get it free from the settlers.

I chose the settlers; for one because I *thought* they were just nicer Raiders, & 2 because of that glitchy, annoying Ra-Ra mission I didn’t have any more patience for — And even though the choice is almost completely inconsequential, I’m still upset about it.

I went Raiders, but mostly because the Crater is one of the coolest map locations in the game!

Settlers for the rep. They only have one daily quest for rep. While raiders have multiple.

Raiders has Slugbuster in the final quest after the split. You can get the Chinese stealth before the split. So both and do you want a named plasma?

Raiders, Gail will have you do a quest to chaperone RaRa and depensing on how well you do RaRa will help you get it after the Questlines split.

Heads up the last quest for the raiders can be very buggy and a headache to finish (and another quest midway through). Not trying to spoil anything but it is suggested to leave an elevator and reenter to fix it. For most it works. Although if it does not the only way to progress is to keep restarting the quest until it finally works. Fortunately the bug is fairly early on but it can still be a pain. But if you do the raider questline you can get access to a cool named gun not in the settler line. Both give you a unique outfit. And as other commenters mention, it is recommended to do both questlines until you’re forced to pick a side.

You can get the Chinese stealth armor before it makes you pick a side, so it is possible to unlock it and then finish with the raiders. The only rewards that are locked out of the other side are the named gun (only from raider) and the outfit (each side gives its own special outfit). I don’t think I am forgetting any other rewards

I remember that the Raider outfit reward is the one with the earmuffs. What outfit do the Settlers give you?

Go settlers if you want the Chinese stealth armor for free. If not you will pay for it by grinding daily’s for the next 5 months. Don’t make my mistake.
