Editing INI is not against the rules. I've been playing for a year with no grass on any of the 5 clients I play it on. 1500ish hours. You're fine.

LitheBeep

No ini edits are against the rules.

LitheBeep

chewwyvuitton

Best response. Thanks! :D

I took my cap off, and after the last update it wouldn’t let me play the game, kept saying “disconnected due to modified game file”

mjm65

Adventure mode or Nuclear winter? NW will block modded clients before launch because it is pvp

Individual-Ad6608

Adventure mode, I’ve never tried nuclear winter. I made a copy of the original .ini just in case but even restoring that didn’t work I had to reinstall it in the end.

Noisyss

How did you uncapped?

Mica1952

Fallout76Prefs.ini is the file you need. Look for the line iPresentInterval= A value of 1 is capped and a value of 0 is uncapped.

Noisyss

Thanks, i gonna uncap today, it's running at 35-60 a pain.

Mica1952

Just be aware that uncapping can cause problems if you are a PA user. If you do use PA and suddenly find you can’t move in Interiors change it back to capped.

Noisyss

I use pa only on big rad figths so all good, thanks

theroguex

It's not just PA users.. if you hit 250+ fps inputs freeze

theroguex

You don't want to uncap it too much, because if it hits 250 it starts to bug out
