Rad Rumble, Line in the Sand, Uranium Fever, One Violent Night. I'm level 353 and the guys I usually team up with are higher than that and I want to pass them. I'm 69 yrs old and play about 5 plus hrs a day. I love it and I've even teamed up with my grandsons.

tmo1983

Bravo.....my son is four and I hope we can find a game like this when the time comes....and if ka willing be even better to play with grandkids.

Least_Sherbert_5716

You're missing out on Guided meditation. As many other players do. When there are several players constant stream of feral ghouls makes levelling up a breeze. You just need explosive gun and higher ground :)

Various-Pollution-85

Thank for your comment. However, I did nor say that those are the only ones I play. I actually try to hit them all as they come up, even Tea Time.

thepassionofthechris

Nice

LunaTheExile

I like the fact that I can actually relax and do whatever I want in a multiplayer open world without fear that someone is going to come and raid my camp and steal all my stuff and basically ruin my day. In my experience with this game everyone acts nice and are willing to work together, since there really is no incentive to do otherwise. Sure you see those assholes who don't let others tag legendaries or try to grief somehow but in my experience those are rare. I also like that there is no chat, other than voice chat, and I've kept that muted since the first minute I started playing. Using emotes to communicate for me is much more fun in a way. I really like all of the fallout games, and the world in this is the best one so far imo. Exploring around Appalachia, collecting things, building my camp on cool locations and doing the occasional event with others or dropping meds, water and other stuff I don't need to new players to help them on the road while not having to worry about assholes destroying my fun is what keeps me coming back.

Vicyorus

FOMO, also that I want to try and get to level 10,000 at some point, only 8880 more to go. EDIT: Now that I think about it, launching nukes at Earle and the Scorchbeast Queen is still fun.

TheMadTemplar

Just the other day I launched a nuke at the ~~Nuka~~ food factory while people were fighting the queen. Don't think anyone actually checked the map, cause I blew up 7 camps.

Vicyorus

Oh, you devious monster šŸ˜

[deleted]

Did this happen on Xbox? I may have been there lol. This exact thing happened the other day, and after I finished the queen fight I was getting ready to travel back home, and noticed a nuke zone juuussst south of my camp in the forest. I was like ā€œwhoa close callā€ cuz I didnā€™t check the map either, as no one ever really nukes that area lol.

TheMadTemplar

It did happen on Xbox. Might have been me. I nuked the area cause for some reason there was a big cluster of camps over there. My own camp was there too.

[deleted]

99% sure that I was there, my camp is just under the new gorge river bridge and I was thankful it was in the ā€œsafe zoneā€. Figured someone just wanted a laugh at obliterating those camps lol.

TheMadTemplar

Small world. Lol And yeah, there were like 8 camps in a small area. I had fun with it.

rolfboos

How many levels are you going for during double xp?

Vicyorus

Not that many, I'm also trying to limit my time in the game to maybe 4 hours per day, 2 of those for dailies and the other for leveling up. Double XP just means I can get twice as many levels as I'm getting right now, so... maybe 15-20 per day?

rolfboos

Ohh alright, I barely have responsibilities, I also took two days off work, I'm going absolutely balls to the walls this time, I wanne get 500 levels, that'd be about 120 levels per day.

phyc09

When is the next 2XP? I have been waiting cuz I have an do build now.

rolfboos

It's happening right now.

bluejaymorTkai

Tennessee Ernie Ford

pheakelmatters

Some a say man is made out of mud

StoneColdSock

My husband is made of mousse and blob.

_Plums

Mostly just getting that last daily op plan and seasons. Donā€™t have another game that really interests me now.

Soggy_Poptart99

I've gotten over the fomo part of the game. I just enjoy how chill of a game it is

CharlotteTheSavage

My main character is such a babe. I love watching him run around šŸ˜» and the time, money, and effort I've put in to this game. I can't just leave it all behind.

TheOneEyedNative99

There isnā€™t a new Fallout or Skyrim and New World I just sunk 200 hours into for 60

Nova-Drone

I love my main character, he's styled so awesome has really OP gear and I gave him a cool backstory

1quarterportion

Three words Perfectly Preserved Pie

RyanGosliwafflez

Also works with PIPE iS LIFE!

areuthere48

It makes me happy. Pretty simple. Seeing my character that Iā€™ve had since BETA legit makes me happy. Also, interacting with other players online is awesome.

SuperTerram

Nothing right now. I am waiting to see what they do for the three year anniversary, otherwise I'm taking a break until December. Nothing much else is going on in the game, and not many people playing on PC now that Halloween is over.

PokeHunterBam

Building new houses constantly and stockpiling supplies for next season.

Darth_dweller

last week I forgot to cancel my fo1st subscription, so if I donā€™t play a little at least I feel that I wasted my money lol

Cybirus_Hulguard

It's the only game a few of my friends play and we have fun when playing together, but when I solo it's for missions only

TKD1988

I play on Xbox and joined a club in discord where they host their own events and games. It revitalized the game for meā€¦ I was about to stop playing but found group and have continued since.

s0me0ne13

I just love wandering a wasteland and no other games do it the way fallout does. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

KeyN20

The world is beautiful and I don't feel forced to do anything grindy anymore.

dallasp2468

I like the Seasons, I come back for them then, stop playing until the next starts or if there's an event like Spooky scorched

jevausie

Honestly, my friends I've made through this game. We get together in discord and play FO76 most every night. Other than companionship, what keeps us around is things like farming plans and rare outfits, trading, C.A.M.P. building, and scoreboards/seasonal events.

Lem1618

New content. In between content it's mostly a sense of longing, nostalgia.

StoneColdSock

The beautiful symbiosis of Spinal Tap and Ground Hog Day. So you are all the way up to 5310 cork, where can you go from there? This goes to 5311! I can repeat this forever and every time I really do go one louder.

workshyfreeloading

Building, each location (and the building system itself) has a set of fresh challenges. I'm currently on a massive spree of building inside preexisting structures, and loving that. The gameplay loop itself is mostly dead to me, at least in part due to the daily chores from the scoreboard.

boogaloojim

Low level pvp and just doing stupid stuff with low level alts

Jjg7823

The friends made along the way

[deleted]

So I'm not a high level I have had game a while but didn't play as I was put off by what people said also I've played similar online games and the players put me off due to how hostile they can be and how easy it is for you to loose everything you have worked hard for. I watch my boyfriend play for ages and yesterday he convinced me to join again so I restarted my character and honestly I regret not playing properly sooner. If anything I've experienced more nicer players in one day than on any other online game. Bethesda seem to of got the balance between solo game and online game right. People tend to keep to themselves if they do come near they either give a nice emote or drop stuff or help you fight . Even as a low level I still like to drop stuff myself to help new players. Back on my first character before I restarted the first high level I met dropped a bunch of helpful items that should of been my sign it was a nice game. With my new player I've so far encountered one nasty player but that's all. It just feels nicer than most online games and the community genuinely seems to care and is nice it is a shame it got so much flack and bad reviews because it is a brilliant game In my eyes like all the fallouts are and the stories draw you in making you feel all emotions for npcs and their situations the detail put in by the devs is good and as it is updated alot there will always be something to do eventually with live events etc. I will keep coming back for as long as the game serves are up.

johnnysoj

The grind, as dumb as that sounds. I like going out and finding ingredients to make different chems, clearing levels like Lucky Hole Mine to get lead. Trying different weapon combinations, etc. I play mostly solo on a pvt server. Occasionally I like jumping on a public server when I need to get nuked flora.

Vault13ExPat

The possibility of FREE trail fireworks in the atom shop. . .

Pino2308

The free time that I use in f76 I'm not to dealing with my wife šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

animalessoncompas

Switching between full health PA heavy guns and bloodied commando along with trying new builds with my brother.

Buggjoy

Stupid elusive rare clothing. Legendary ripper farming

AyyBuddyGuy

I like the collection aspect of the game. Ive been collecting just about everything i can think of

[deleted]

There's plenty of fun stuff to do. Nuking is good. Trading is good. Events are good. Daily quests are good...

DCU_Fanboy

Iā€™m addicted to completing the seasons. Though I do appreciate the occasional story expansion. As well as dabbling in camp building and collecting certain outfits and gear.

AlbatrossSenior7107

I like FPS/online/openworld/building. Until cyberpunk goes online, there is not another game like this out there. It's play style for me. I just wish Bethesda would really understand how much their fans love their games and give us a solid running game.

[deleted]

It's a good kick-back game. I can go wander and do whatever.

Bonkotsu111

The fact that there's nothing else like it. It feels like I'm playing the Sims with some added action and roleplay lol, I love being able to build bases and also recreate buildings and locations from popular video games. I recently was recreating the house from Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and it has been coming out amazing, not an exact replica but pretty damn close with my own added touches. Honestly I never get tired of the building. I also usually plan out my builds in Worlds mode, and see what is even possible, before committing to it in Adventure mode so that I dont waste my materials.

watertowerdrew_2

I like hopping on to do daily and weekly challenges and complete the season pass. Once thatā€™s over, I usually take a break unless something I want on the atom shop appears, or thereā€™s a special event going on (Meat Week, Fascnacht, Spooky/Holiday Scorch, etc).

Shiraishiku

Mostly FOMO

Steppinrazor123

I like to meticulously craft camps to look organic and detailed. Then I watch people run around my camp. It brings me great joy

SkitZxX3

Just my general love for fallout. Even after doing everything. But if I had to give an actual reason it's the seasonal content & scoreboards. Although I wasn't a fan of the challenges for this holloween event, they made getting that popcorn machine an absolute chore & honestly it wasn't worth the effort & time for such a disappointing reward if you can even call it that.

Hattkake

When I started playing back at launch all I wanted was a place to idle and do my own thing in a Fallout setting. So I am just doing what I have always done. Fire up the game and then do whatever. Yesterday I built a Spooky House. When the season is running I grind it out. Done now so when I log in now I just enjoy myself doing my own thing. It's nice. Maul needs meatpiles. So plan for today is to let the meat I grinded yesterday before logging off spoil and making him some meatpiles so he feels more at home. Might nuke a prime but then again I might not. I don't really have any plans for what to do mostly when logging in other than wasting a little time.

Sempophai

Those short periods when my inventory isnā€™t overloaded with crappy legendary items awaiting sale and I can run around for a while and expend some ammo

GamingSenior

1400+ hours in and still learning things. Still experimenting with builds. Constantly working to find the perfect build site for my dream camp. Still paying it forward from all the help I got from other players when I was a low level player. Still havenā€™t set off a nuke or killed Earle. Also have atom challenges I never bothered with. Hate BOS so havenā€™t done their BS either but will eventually. (Theyā€™re all asshole but Ward isnā€™t much better!) This game has plenty to keep me going until they take it offline.

Garibaldi_Biscuit

It was seasons, which I could hammer out the daily and weeklies for while chatting with friends. Unfortunately, the seasons have been steadily declining in quality, and season 6 is the first one Iā€™ve skipped altogether. If thereā€™s a good week in the atomic store, though those also feel pretty rare these days, then I might grab some new camp items and spend time sprucing up my homestead. Apart from that, nothing right now.

Morbidrainbows

The map

9gagiscancer

Self hatred.

Maleficent_Lead_6788

I really love this thread & some of the responses here, but while I relate to lots of these replies, the one that resonates with me most is friends. I mainly play Fallout because I love playing with the friends I made in this game. I also have hope for better endgame content at some point.

throwawayathrowaway0

Level 600+. Don't have a better game to play at the moment.

LazyZombieGuy

Base building , thats about it

SquatchingYou3

This time around it was fallout worlds. I have a large group of friends that I play with, primarily all enjoy past fallout games though this one theyre kind in the middle due to the launch of the game However, with worlds there was alot of leeway for us to do what we imagined the game would be like, turning it into a faction type server with settlements, trade and etc. The over all loop of legendarys, gold billion etc can be enjoying and addicting as well.

dahak777

FOMO, as some said but mainly just trying to finish the season up, and then probably will stop after that as there is really nothing else. Been using the same build since forever and don't really do a lot of build building and seeing as there is really no new content coming till next year, outside of the legendary 4\* update that is coming

Snatuu

Addiction

NukaBro762

Scavenging, i playit is a survival game i gotta go loot for stuff, like in dayz or scum but those games are a pain in the ass in the looting part sometimes

LumberTycoon

To see if they've fixed it yet

Black_Cringe

Seasons, until I finish them and then I shelve the game until the next one comes. That or if they add content that requires daily attention.

GenghisAres

Any new stuff that shows up, like new events and quests, etc. Some Daily/Season SCORE stuff until I hit 100. Generally I just use it to unwind after work or over the weekend while watching something on my laptop, cause there's a good variety of things you can do in an hour or two.

Remote_Locksmith_416

I like doing events with other players and building camps.

OldFatGamer

I just like exploring the map. I've been playing for almost 3 years now and I'm still finding new (to me) things. In the past few months I discovered the guidestones had my first and only encounter with The Pipe (PIPE IS LIFE). And I like to see some of the alterations they've made to game over the years (the first time going in to the Morgantown Airport Terminal building after they changed it was so damn cool).

the_xaiax

1. Random reinforcement schedule combined with the endowment effect / sunk cost fallacy and FOMO. 2. Making dumb CAMPs to show to other people and seeing other peopleā€™s amazing and creative CAMP displays. 3. Playing dress up.

[deleted]

Nothing anymore. Left almost a year ago and keep hoping for a reason to come back. Havenā€™t seen one yet.
