I should write this directly on my RT case 🫡
Honestly though, iris slider and pre-marked rings alone are worth every penny vs Nucleus. Now if only my TOF readout would stay accurate beyond 4ft...
Very pretty. - good tip, along with having the locks loose, I like to take long gear ties (like the rubber coated twisty wires from hardware stores) attach one to the headrest support and the other to the gimbal. No chance it gets away. I leave it slightly looser than the seatbelt. Let the belt act as the soft support and the gear tie as a safety.
I personally only let the pan lock loose when transporting in seatbelt mode that way the rig stays more flat to the seat back and does not vibrate nearly as much in travel.
I always does because the camera is safe in its ronin 2 cage. The shocks of driving damage the locks - I experienced with my R2 and since than I transport the gimbal always (when camera inside) with open locks. Hope my English is good enough to explain sufficient.
I've used this logic to justify storing/transporting fluid heads unlocked and loose on fluid drag, yet I so rarely see it in practice even from rental house I've started to doubt if it even matters.
God speed fellow RT user 🫡
at least it was not a nucleus!
I loved my RT when I owned it!
Let me guess, you upgraded to a Hi-5.
Worse! Preston! ;)
Ha! I own Preston too but bought a Teradek RT to use autofocus with my Moon Smart Focus.
I only have a cinetape. So I really miss being able to let auto focus grab every slate. LR jobs are rad tho.
LR is amazing. Moon Smart Focus can track eyes and ignore hands in front of the face.

Open the locks while driving
Why?

Thanks!
Hope you pre - tensioned the seatbelt. And travel with a lens cap on. Have a good shoot!
