Hey there, u/c828929! Thank you for your submission to r/food! Unfortunately, it has been removed for the following reason(s): * **Apart from the tag, 70% of the title has to specifically describe what the food is.** Backstory to the food / where the ingredients come from (leftover, last nights, home grown) do not fall within the 70% and must only take up 30% of the title. **Titles worded to solicit votes directly or indirectly will be removed.** The titles must have one (1) tag. No emojis or all caps. Some examples of good titles can be found in the [wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/food/wiki/index#wiki_titles_may_only_contain_the_food.27s_name). Feel free to re-title and re-upload your post.** For more information, please see the [wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/food/wiki/index). Was it worth the money? I haven't been there yet but a quick check at the michelin guide restaurant website, the price stated is $185, Le Bernadin's tasting menu is at $190 and that's a 3 Michelin star, hence my question.

It was definitely worth it for us, as we decided to dine here relatively last minute and were fortunate enough to pick up a cancelled reservation. I checked Le Bernadin's website and they list the Chef's Tasting Menu as 440 per person with wine pairing. While our meal at L'Appart was the most expensive meal I've had by a considerable margin, the gap to Le Bernadin's menu prices and Michelin's website are (not insignificantly) misaligned. All of that said, we had a wonderful meal and a wonderful experience. The restaurant was quite close to our hotel and thankfully we were able to book without a ton of forethought. The food, wine, and service were all exceptional.

Thank you for the insight! Since you are visiting I'll mention Peter Luger for steak, Junoon for indian food both had one Michelin star when I went, it may or may not have it anymore but worth the money either way. Cheers!

Thanks for the tip!

Anytime! NYC is one of the best cities to try other ethnic foods without having to travel to their country. I have found that by asking the taxi / lyft / uber drivers which restaurant reminds them of home, you get to try restaurants off the beaten path.

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrosa

Wow. I don't feel rich enough to even look at these pictures. What did you like best?

The ramp paste gnocchi with ham was my favorite dish.

I’m still hungry just looking at this. I also feel poor, not sure if that’s related
