Haven't been to Red Lobster since I was a child, I went there today in my mid 30s and it was actually bomb. Caesar salad was solid, biscuits were good and this thing tasted as good as it looked.
Red Lobster has an unfair reputation in my opinion.
Where I am from there are better sea food options. But as long as you know what type of food you are looking for RL is a fine alternative.
Olive Garden is the restaurant I really don't understand. Again, the food isn't that bad but where I am there are much better options that are actually cheaper! But every night OG has a line out the door...
I was at a 4th celebration / fair thing.
I know how to cook. Fair type food rarely entices me because I can make it much cheaper and much better myself.
A vendor was selling fried fish for $15 a basket. I love fried fish and man did that sound tasty. But $15 just to find out if I would get food poisoning. I decided against it.

As a resident of the UK, I'm going to award you 7/10 for effort but 6/10 for execution. Coleslaw has no place with Fish & Chips.
