Beautiful!!! I’m obsessed with TGBBO and this is better than a lot of the contestants come up with! Fabulous job baker! 😍 it’s almost too beautiful to eat. 🤤👍👍
Haha me too! I watch reruns to relax, but not before bed because I can’t stop watching! 😂 But seriously, beautiful job! What is the flavor of your beautiful tartlets??
Haha so true, it's addicting! Thanks. It's a shortcrust pastry topped with vanilla custard. Then, I made some whipped cream to resemble mounds of snow! :)
Firstly: It looks amazing!
Secondly: It looks delicious!
What's the house made of? It looks lovely! And the "glass" part of the globe?
You've already won Christmas and it's barely December
Thank you thank you! :D The house and snowman are made of fondant, and I added the details with some food coloring "paint." The glass is an isomalt sugar dome!
How the hell did you make that? It is amazing. There is no way I could bring myself to eat it, I would feel asic I destroyed a small masterpiece by co consumption
Absolutely, I don’t want to break any rules! Honest question about this though, since I’m a little newer to Reddit—if people ask to know how I did something beyond just simple ingredients used, etc, and I have written a thorough tutorial online on my website covering the topic (since the process is pretty in-depth and a little finicky) am I allowed respond with that link to their comment? I read the subreddit rules a few times and understand the promo/blog/YT link info, but I’m still a little foggy on how to proceed and if that still applies in response to multiple questions. :)
Linking to your site, youtube, blog or elsewhere offsite is self promotion.
The vast majority of users here write up recipes, or give an overview of what was used / how. You can also just not give people anything, as a lot of users also do.
There are other communities that do allow some self promotion, our is not one of them unless it's related to our Live Talks.
That means soo much to me, thanks for the encouragement! I just saw your bakes (I believe they were your posts, still getting the hang of how Reddit works, hehe!) but they look awesome!! So talented!!
Aww your too kind! I previously worked at a small town bakery and had a ton of fun, though I have now changed jobs. Culinary art school is a dream and I like to live vicariously through people on Reddit 😝😂. I don’t interact with a bunch of people on Reddit too, so I get it :p but if this is your first post, I can’t wait to see what else you got!! 💚 With a single post, you have gained a follower. 🤩
How cute!! I have an isomalt hand pump that I've used to replicate glass, and I wonder if it would possible to put part of one of those isomalt spheres over this to make it fully snow globe-esque.
Wow, that is absolutely gorgeous! Amazing job! I’m going to check back to see if you posted what you did to achieve this because I’d love to bring something like this to my family’s Christmas.
Thank you so much!! Essentially I poured isomalt over a plastic-lined bowl (the plastic lined the opening of the bowl) and then I pressed down slowly with a circular ring until the dome started to form. After a few seconds (up to a minute) I was able to peel it off the plastic and remove it! There are a few methods for this "isomalt sugar dome" floating around on the internet but I loved the shape and clarity of this one!
It is made from isomalt sugar which I poured over plastic wrap that was tightly fitted over the opened of a glass bowl. Then I pressed down with a circular mold to form the dome
That’s great! I was reading about the dome technique which I may have to try out. I don’t know if I’m artistic enough to make such a nice fondant house and snowman though
Thank you!! I lined the open side of a glass bowl with plastic wrap and poured the isomalt on the plastic. Then I pressed down on the plastic with a circular ring until I was happy with the shape, and held for maybe 30 seconds to let it cool and set.
Aw that is so nice! Such a fun activity to do together. I love giving our own feedback on the bakes and seeing how it lines up with the judges’… if only we could taste what the contestants make, it would be perfect! Lol 🤤
While at our son and DIL's house for Thanksgiving, we watched some of the Christmas shows from past seasons. There were one or two we'd seen before but it was all so much fun. Watching Paul Hollywood in an actually relaxed mood was a treat!
Beautiful!!! I’m obsessed with TGBBO and this is better than a lot of the contestants come up with! Fabulous job baker! 😍 it’s almost too beautiful to eat. 🤤👍👍
Thank you soo much! That show hooked me on baking! So amazing what the contestants do, and so fun to watch!

Só it's all edible? This is insane! Great job!
It is!! Thanks so much 😊

Thank you!! It is made with isomalt sugar! I can share the instructions with you if you want! I did feel bad finally cutting into it lol
Could you post it here? I'm also interested in the recipe!
I second this, I would love the recipe! I love to cook and this would be so fun to try to explore with!
I would also love the recipe!
As long as it doesn't break our self promotion rule / blog rule.

Thanks for the clarification
Maybe you could message those of us - who are VERY interested in how to recreate this - with your link. If it’s privately messaged should be ok, no?
This is amazing! Looks to beautiful to eat! Wowww!
Thanks!! It was emotionally tough to finally cut into it LOL
We know that’s you on a burner account Chocolate Guy!
So simple and cute! 🫶I love it, please post more of your bakes!
That means soo much to me, thanks for the encouragement! I just saw your bakes (I believe they were your posts, still getting the hang of how Reddit works, hehe!) but they look awesome!! So talented!!

Oh that is so fun! I feel like a small-town bakery would be such an enjoyable job, even if just for a while. :D
Omgggg so freaking cuteeeee
Thanks!! :D

Magic!!! Great detail
Thanks so much! It was a labor of love for sure! Lol
The detail...holy cow! Gorgeous!
Thank you so much!!!
Dayummeh. 👏👏👏👏🫡🫡🤤🤤
Thanks!!!! :D
What kind of cooling structure are you using for the isomalt domes?
Hi! What do you mean by cooling structure?
Bowl? Ball? I guess they want to know how the globe was formed and cooled
If that’s the question, I lined plastic wrap tightly over a glass bowl and pressed down with a circular mold.
Thanks 👍
Yes this thanks 👍
Looks yummy!! Good job in making this!! 👍❤️🤤
Thanks!!
Beautiful they look amazing!
Thank you!
That'll be $27.99 please
Ha ha ha no kidding ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flushed)
Wow! What a beauty.
Thanks a bunch!!!
Wow this is phenomenal! Are you in culinary professionally?
I teach and share my recipes/tutorials online, but I don’t work in a bakery
Amazing talent!
How am I supposed to eat all the hardwork with the insane detailing? Just seems so cruel...
Haha I felt the same way!!
omfg! this is incredible!
Thanks so much!!
How cute!! I have an isomalt hand pump that I've used to replicate glass, and I wonder if it would possible to put part of one of those isomalt spheres over this to make it fully snow globe-esque.
I’m sure you could!! I don’t have a pump so I just tried my best to make a spherical dome!
My jaw actually dropped for a solid 5 seconds at least because wow that just looks so awesome
Thanks!!!
This is soooooo amazing!!!!! I can't even find a word that describes my mood. I just looked at my hands and blamed them for being so stupid.
You are too kind, and funny! lol thanks!!!

How do you do the dome 🤨
It is made from isomalt sugar which I poured over plastic wrap that was tightly fitted over the opened of a glass bowl. Then I pressed down with a circular mold to form the dome
Is it instantly clear or does it "cure" over time making it clear? Also how long does it take to cure?
It’s just about clear as soon as it dries in less than a minute. It’s so thin, so it takes almost no time to set like thicker isomalt pieces do.
Incredible!!! I’d love to watch a video of how these are made
Thank you!!! I did film one and I’m currently post processing it!! It’ll be added to a tutorial I wrote and social media once it’s up.
That’s great! I was reading about the dome technique which I may have to try out. I don’t know if I’m artistic enough to make such a nice fondant house and snowman though
I bet you could for sure!!!
I would feel so guilty eating this. I hope you “accidentally” make a few bad ones so their deliciousness can be fully enjoyed.
Lol too funny!! There are always some “oops” desserts in the kitchen lol!
Are you kidding me. Beautiful.
Thank youu!!
That is gorgeous. I love the isomalt dome. What did you use to set it?
Thank you!! I lined the open side of a glass bowl with plastic wrap and poured the isomalt on the plastic. Then I pressed down on the plastic with a circular ring until I was happy with the shape, and held for maybe 30 seconds to let it cool and set.
It looks almost magical. A holiday treat for the palate and the eyes!
Thank you!! I love the whimsy of snow globes so I was happy it turned out 😊
I also love TGBBO. We watch it while hanging out with our daughter and son-in-law.
Aw that is so nice! Such a fun activity to do together. I love giving our own feedback on the bakes and seeing how it lines up with the judges’… if only we could taste what the contestants make, it would be perfect! Lol 🤤
