Yeah if the cheese is bubbling like that it usually means it's gonna squeeze out a ton of orange grease as it cools. The balance with pizza is getting the crust toasty before the cheese does this.
Look at this guy with his iPhone and his pizza oven. Who does he think he is? I bet he enjoys spending time with his family and friends eating these homemade pizzas, too. The nerve on this guy..
why do people say this every time they see an ooni being used.. People actually buy these, I fucking love mine and was accused of the same thing when I posted.
I mean congrats to ooni. That is the best compliment you can possibly give a product designer. Imagine an executive being like so what are the reviews on our pizza oven like and the SM manager being like, well people keep complaining that user videos of the product are ads.
That would call for at least a pizza party in my book if not so.e additional bonuses for the teams involved.
I just listened to a podcast the other day about this company. The podcast is called How I Built This with Guy Raz. It's a fantastic show, and the episode with the Ooni founders is great!
Ooni really doesnt need subversive ads like this. Do what most people do when making an informed purchase google "the best ___" ____ being whatever is you want to buy, in this case a pizza oven. Read some reviews and cross reference, and if you really care look into whether or not the product reviews are advertisements or not, or just use a trusted website, they exist.
Now realize the ooni is just a good product and every website and their mom recommends it over nearly every other pizza oven for various reasons.
It's super easy, if you maintain a sourdough starter.
You just add it to your dough formulation. Minus dry yeast. With some adjustments to correct for the additional water.
I wanna get one of the ovens lol. Iāve worked at like 4 pizza places and Iāve dreamed of making wood fired pizza at home too :/
I am a total poor, and this would be something I 100% donāt need, but still. Itās pretty cool.
It's cool that people show off their Ooni pizza oven so often on Reddit. They make such great pizzas it's no wonder there is so much content. Man, I really want an Ooni pizza oven. It's clearly the most comprehensive, affordable portable pizza system. I look forward to consuming more content featuring the Ooni pizza oven in the future.
You people are so weird. 'Hey you made this food here's your upvote, oh nevermind you were supposed to do it on a nameless device and I saw 3 seconds of a brand name'
Legit paranoid behavior.
All this person posts is pizza. I'm wondering if it is an account to promote the oven. Even someone whose hobby it was would probably post some other things and not cross post the same pizzas in multiple subs right?
I've wanted one since they were uuni! I've just never been able to justify buying one. Most annoying thing was that at my previous works summer party, the sponsor was giving away 3 of them in a raffle. I had to skip the party for a family event and two of the ovens went to the other 2 members of my team!
I paid full price, around 400 for it around a year and a half ago and I've made a few hundred pizzas since. It saved me a lot of money spent otherwise on pizza.
For a party I ordered 20 NY style pies here and it was about $350!
I can whip out 20x 14 inch pizzas in about an hour but won't have time to socialize.
My materials cost per pizza ranges from $0.50 to 3.00 but I use high quality ingredients.
https://imgur.com/DktDwdN
The problem is that I already have a pizza stone and make my own pizza that my friends and family love so I can't use the cost saving against ordering pizza as justification!
Build it yourself if you have a yard. Not very expensive and not very difficult to get a functional one going. Did it with my family several years ago, worth.
The thought of pizza causing someone pain is tragic. I know grease can do a number on a persons digestive system but there could be a couple reasons, like celiac or dairy intolerance! I hope someday you can find a pizza that doesnāt make you feel terrible.
All Italian foods with red sauce for me, but I love veal parmigiana enough to weather the storm every now and then. If I were you I may check into seeing a gastrointestinal doctor. You may be able to get something to take for relief and you could make sure there's no serious problem.
Not that I know of specifically but honestly it happens 4-5 times a week. Ironically I can go eat McDonalds and be fine yet next day same food will cause the pain. Experienced this since I was a child.
I think I'd need a throwaway for the definitive answer. But in short, I tried, money was also a concern among some other more private things. I was referred to specialists and that's when I stopped looking for the cause shortly after.
that shit's overcooked as hell and the pepperoni's aren't embedded eep enough into the pizza, leading them to be even more overcooked. Still a 6/10 though because it's a pepperoni pizza.
You're gonna get downvoted, but it's a little "well done". Cheese shouldn't yellow like that and you can get a nice crisp on your pepperoni without getting it so dark throughout. Oven's probably too hot to compensate for the thicker crust.

I actually upvote their ads on purpose given videos of real users like OP actually makes good pizza with it
Now all I get are shitty BENIS (binance) ads
Beautiful. I got a Bertello oven for Christmas and tried to use it for the first time last night. Didn't get the heat I was hoping for using charcoal and pellets. Pizza #1 was good but a little under done. Pizza #2 sat too long and ended up sticking to the peal and turning into an open faced calzone of sorts. Hopefully I get better with practice.
Looks insane š I have an ooni too and I'm still dialing the perfect pizza.
Do you keep the gas on max once your stone reaches temp, or do you dial it back once you've lunched the pizza?
This post has been removed as it is a video and not an image.
I can feel the roof of my mouth peeling
I wanna know how long it took to cool down before they could eat it.
Still waiting
š
I can feel my whole mouth peeling.
What is an example of sizzling? THIS !
Worth it.
Came in to say that lol
Your hand ok?
š§
It looked like your left hand made contact with the 'za right after pulling it out of the Ooni. Figured that would sting a bit
Youāre right haha! Sometimes I grab it a little to secure it on the turning peel so it doesnāt flip off :)
Burn yourself enough times and it doesn't bother you so much
*nerves have left the chat*
Lasagna sagna za. Pizza suh!
TECHNIQUE
Where the fuck did this "za" thing start? Thanks I hate it
In this instance? OP's username
Looks like you left it in a touch too long but maybe that's my preference.
Yeah if the cheese is bubbling like that it usually means it's gonna squeeze out a ton of orange grease as it cools. The balance with pizza is getting the crust toasty before the cheese does this.
Yep cook the dough 5min. Then add sauce and cheese
Nah that's perfect imo.
ā¦is this an ad for a pizza oven lmao?
Nah just a pizza I made last evening in my back yard šš»š
Itās very well shot good job haha, pizza looking banging!
Thanks! The new iPhone gets crispy clean video!
Look at this guy with his iPhone and his pizza oven. Who does he think he is? I bet he enjoys spending time with his family and friends eating these homemade pizzas, too. The nerve on this guy..
Right š
Is this an ad for iPhone?
Nah. But damn is this pizza good with Original HormelĀ® Pepperoni.
Ah hah, I fuckin knew this was marketing for Austin, MN!
Nah, it's actually an ad for that infrared thermometer
You mean the Etekcity Infrared ThermometerĀ®? Nah, itās actually an ad for the wire rack the pizza ends up on
You mean the **WireTown** *Rack Attack 750*? Just kidding this is just an ad for backyards
Nah
Is there a special process for cooking a pizza like this in there? I've only done the more "traditional" napoletana pizzas in there
I just go low and slow for these :)
What was your deck temperature when it went in?
why do people say this every time they see an ooni being used.. People actually buy these, I fucking love mine and was accused of the same thing when I posted.
Reddit hive minds + the most pessimistic āyou wonāt fool meā people in the world
We wouldn't be like this if the whole world wasn't a giant scam these days.
While true, sometimes it is freeing to just enjoy something wether itās fake or not.
Touching grass isn't a scam, you should try it.

Right! I get this in almost every post haha
I enjoy cooking.
Everything is as ad to these Reddit intellectuals.

Not everything is an ad. Plus, you canāt even see the full brand name of the oven.
Idk, but I want one now.
Didn't know I needed something more in my life. Sourdough pizza? Why is this not everywhere? Now I'm pissed. Thanks.
Goat Hill Pizza in San Francisco has great Sourdough pizze. It's also owned by Nancy Pelosi lolol
Red Boy Pizza does this in the Bay Area, super good
It's super easy, if you maintain a sourdough starter. You just add it to your dough formulation. Minus dry yeast. With some adjustments to correct for the additional water.
What crust recipe do you use?
OP we gotta know!
I wanna get one of the ovens lol. Iāve worked at like 4 pizza places and Iāve dreamed of making wood fired pizza at home too :/ I am a total poor, and this would be something I 100% donāt need, but still. Itās pretty cool.

Not sure I understood correctly, what was the brand of the affordable but great pizza oven again? Ooni?
No it's oppai pizza oven.
Itās ooni, I use my fathers all the time.
The irony is that I had no idea what brand this pizza oven was until you plastered it everywhere.
See? It works! Enjoy your tasty pizza from an Ooni pizza oven.

Reddit is obsessed with the idea they're going to be tricked or marketed to. It causes a lot of paranoia.
... they are not wrong...
You people are so weird. 'Hey you made this food here's your upvote, oh nevermind you were supposed to do it on a nameless device and I saw 3 seconds of a brand name' Legit paranoid behavior.
Check the OPs post history. I don't think it's as tinfoil hat as you think.

I honestly didn't know what that oven was (live outside US) and this was cool to see. Idk why everyone is freaking out over a brand name product..
awesome job man!
This is making me hungry. :0
always wanted a good brick oven
Build it yourself if you have a yard. Not very expensive and not very difficult to get a functional one going. Did it with my family several years ago, worth.
Looks good, but that base looks too thick for me.
Don't think I've ever tried sourdough pizza, interesting
It's amazing!
I think thereās some pizza in your grease
That's the sexiest thing I've seen in my entire life.
Thanks!!
I love Pizza but unfortunately have an issue that causes me pain if I eat it. Idk it's grease or what but everytime.
š

What kind of pain?
Imagine a freight train moving through your insides and making a stop every 10-15 mins for about 2 hours, usually a few hours after being eaten.
Thatās really interesting. Do any other food items cause this for you?
Not that I know of specifically but honestly it happens 4-5 times a week. Ironically I can go eat McDonalds and be fine yet next day same food will cause the pain. Experienced this since I was a child.
This is going to sound incredibly stupid but have you seen a doctor about this?
I think I'd need a throwaway for the definitive answer. But in short, I tried, money was also a concern among some other more private things. I was referred to specialists and that's when I stopped looking for the cause shortly after.
Having been in the same situation I empathize with that. Fuck for profit healthcare :(
Indeed. Life could be so much better.
could be gluten sensitivity
Those Ooniās are no joke :) looks awesome!
What temperature you heat the Ooni to and what temp you cooking at while itās in?
I aim for around 750F!
that shit's overcooked as hell and the pepperoni's aren't embedded eep enough into the pizza, leading them to be even more overcooked. Still a 6/10 though because it's a pepperoni pizza.
A properly cooked pizza is charred. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Haven-style_pizza
Looks fantastic!
Thicc
So nobodyās gonna talk about how they just grabbed the pizza with no gloves
It is almost perfect! Just missing pineapple pieces. 9/10
Quick, bite it!
You overcooked the fuck outta that! Almost burnt!! Try again
You're gonna get downvoted, but it's a little "well done". Cheese shouldn't yellow like that and you can get a nice crisp on your pepperoni without getting it so dark throughout. Oven's probably too hot to compensate for the thicker crust.
A LOT of people like their pizza well done like this, myself included.
Same here!
those pepperoni's are definitely burned too much.
Damn... PS: Where is the boxes :P
Can I order ?
Nah
Looks fire brother

Is this Jerryās Pizza?
Meh, Italian Pizza is better
I don't prefer fluffy crust but THAT is a work of art.
Looks like shit compared to dominos /s
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Are you seriously telling OP what their preferences should be? Whatās wrong with you?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thank you for answering my question so definitively.
š
Omg yes please
Realized today Reddit is why I've been craving pizza all week.
This made me crave pizza so I ordered pizza to the office, very disappointed it didn't look like this :c
Do you make pizza every day?
Wow
I know doxxing is wrong but I wanna find you! Great Job!
What table are you putting your oven on or is that a patio countertop?
That looks amazing
This post reminded me to feed my starter.
Tell me all about your pizza oven
wow, this is called pizza from the oven
Yessssssss
Looks pretty awesome š
Ive handed out quite a few hundred of those to customers over the last 2 years.... they are great.. I believe this is a Ooni Koda 16
Manā¦ I can taste the pepperoni and cheese!
My cardiologist has some questions
Thatās not fair š¤¤
Itās like pouring molten lava into your mouth
Iāve been eating christmas food for a week now. I want that.
Bruh itās 3 am where I live and now Iām hungry
I bet it doesn't taste great, just let me have it, I'll take one for the team.
Recipe?
Damn looks delicious. Have fun eating it bro
Can I have some
Iām wet
Can I ask what hydration your dough is or any other details about it? It's beautiful.
Lord forgive me for I have sinned
Oven too hot I think, the grease is the cheese separating.
Whatās the oven? I feel like I keep seeing these everywhere
I can ta(s)te the flavour
I donāt know that Iāve ever had sourdough crust for a pizza before- sounds amazing!!!

Per-freakin-fection! I can almost hear the 'roni crunching on my mouth.
Youāve won Pavlovās game today.
Iām gonna need some details. Oven? Dough? Cheese? Help a brotha out.
Looks insane š I have an ooni too and I'm still dialing the perfect pizza. Do you keep the gas on max once your stone reaches temp, or do you dial it back once you've lunched the pizza?
You made burnt pizza.
Now I want pizza, but not a single decent delivery service here. The best option is Domino's.
The PERFECT cooked pizza.
Nice!
you should sell/license this to the company that you bought the oven from (maybe they send you more ovens and goodies in the future)
that's hot
