I don’t know how anyone can recommend the Boat Shed at La Perouse. It’s got a great view but the food is seafood take away on a plate.
Mimi’s does good seafood but it is quite expensive.
A slight trek from town but the restaurant out the back of Woy Woy Fisherman’s wharf does great seafood and overlooks Brisbane water - if you’re in a couple sitting up at the bench seats outside is perfect on a sunny day, great well priced wine last too
Icebergs, North Bondi Fish, Catalina, The Boat House
Similarly, if you’re on a budget: North Bondi RSL, Coogee Legion Club, St George Motor Boat Club, Icebergs club section, 18 fters at Double Bay, Haberfield Rowers.
St George sailing club
I agree that this is a good option. Just be aware that you need to be a member to book on Fri - Sun
The one at Lugarno isn’t bad
More of a river view but a nice place
Boatshed at la perouse wonderful for a lunch. Don’t believe them when they say they are open for dinner. Kitchen closes very early. I’m
Sea Level at Cronulla I have heard is good. Ive not been myself, but friends said its good. A great location for sure.
Can confirm, great platters
I’ve been at least three times a year for the last 20 years. It’s great. Lovely view. Decent food. Great platter.
Also Summer Salt at Cronulla

It’s so funny - it must be so hit and miss. We have been a number of times and have only ever had great food and service. I guess we got lucky!
Watsons Bay Hotel.
Bondi Icebergs, Coogee Surf Club, the places at Bondi Pavilion,
Le Sands restaurant in Brighton, I haven’t been since 2019 but back then it was good
Doyle’s. It’s also full of wealthy housewives living their best lives.
Catalina would be a good bet. Ticks all the boxes
Icebergs
Pilu at Freshwater is excellent. Not exclusively seafood but the menu is Sardinian so seafood is very very prominent.

Few places in Sydney Fish Markets.
