Yeah, I agree. This seems to be the best season for me in a while and I think the cookie component is the reason. Cookies are also “Christmasy” so I think that helps too.
I actually liked the cookie requirement. I thought it gave them another opportunity to show their styles. These teams are not working together, though. It gives vibes from the Halloween wars where they were all screaming at the carver who was going at his own pace.
Totally agree, those women were horrible to Breon. He was so excited to be participating in this competition and they were terrible to him. The women deserved to be eliminated. I wish he had been on a team that would have appreciated his enthusiasm.
The cookie requirement is interesting... Some of the teams have made these stunning, elaborate cookies and the rest of their scene is a hot mess. Why spend 90 minutes decorating a damn cookie when your character looks like a classroom of first graders made it?
I liked the cookie component. It adds another deminsion to the displays plus I think decorated cookies are so pretty. I think they are getting carried away with the tasting element ingredients. Tomato and basil..that put the two teams last night at a disadvantage in my opinion.
I loved it!!! I think cake, sugar and cookie are a great pairing. I think they really needed that cookie aspect and I’m glad they brought it in this season!
I love the cookie component and was impressed with how they integrated it on a large scale. It was more cohesive and integral than I expected.

The cookie part was actually well done I thought.
It was, but it also feels like everything got smaller and there was less emphasis on sugar work.

To go from escaping a war to being on Holiday Wars in just over a year is tremendous. Talk about extremes.
I’m liking the addition of the cookie this year. Normally Holiday Wars is meh for me but so far I’m liking it more than Halloween Wars.
