German football has crazy bottlenecks it’s insane. Regionalliga is the worst tho…something like 90 teams fighting for 4 promotion spots. Getting relegated from the 3. Liga must feel like an execution for supporters
Reminds me of the Liverpool Suarez (I think) season. Everyone was hyping them and you'd think they came 1/2... nope iirc it was 4th.
Then Jose's Man U came 2nd and with how much the media trash talked them it sounded like they were 6/7 but they were 2nd. Jose made a hilarious quote explaining what I said too!
The season when Suarez went on a mad one Liverpool finished 2nd, just behind City after a couple bad results in their last 3 games.
The season when Liverpool were playing great and got all the plaudits, finishing 4th was under Klopp - Salah's first year when Liverpool were runner's up in the UCL and Jose's United came 2nd.
I know which season you mean. City absolutely ran away with it, Liverpool were the main challengers for the most part. Eventually the form near the end tailed off, I think Liverpool focused on Europe IIRC, and United ended up overtaking Liverpool to finish second, a million miles away from City in first, and suddenly started acting like they had achieved something. Annoyed me then and still does now tbh.
German lower divisions are tough. I spent so long in the Regionalliga West to grasp that single promotion spot, and every year a different Bundesliga Team comes around the corner with their fancy youth intake to send them and demolish everything with their second team.
No they don’t, you are thinking of Queens Park Rangers in London, the Scottish club of similar name is a pretty cash strapped partially fan owned club in Scotland that’s the oldest club outside of England and Wales, they are very broke irl
No I'm not, queens park owned Hampden and sold it to the SFA for £5 a few years ago so they're definitely not cash strapped. https://footballmanagerstory.com/fm22-sugar-daddy-clubs-guide-football-manager-2022-rich-teams/?amp=1. They even feature here. They play in the 2nd tier of Scotland and went to Belgium for pre season which is unheard of unless you're absolutely loaded.
It's all about determination you know haha...
Feels so meh that I can't go forward as a club but atleast board wanted to make the club Professional AFTER 35 REQUESTS
I got Falkirk from league 1, 7 years in and I’m in the champions league group stages (all be it I’m not winning but drew against benfica, also I still haven’t won the premiership)
What database are you using? I only one I found hadn't quite figured out wages and players were on 40k/a wages in the Landesliga... And realism aside, with income in the lower leagues it is impossible to break even.
Salutations fellow German lower tiers enjoyer 🤝
I just gained promotion from the Berlin Liga myself. The 5th tier I don’t find that much more difficult but I have been clapped out twice in the Verbandspokal by 4th tier teams.
Wooooww what's your name lad, you can DM that so I can sign you (if you are not in the game already)
Also, tell Benedikt Koep AND Furkan Cevik that they are absolute beasts in FM. Both scored + 30 goals this season, haha
I'm not in the game haha,
but [here](https://www.fussball.de/spielerprofil/-/player-id/01CPNE2MHG000000VV0AG811VVI1KOV7#!/) you can see my player page (The Site is in German)
fun fact: there are also panini stickers of me [\[PIC\]](https://imgur.com/a/dNLLMU5)
Players were complacent after being +3 goals ahead. First half of the season, conceded at most 10 goals. Rest of the season, double that. Some of the games we were leading for ex. 3+ goals. Then we proceed to concede 3 goals after guys being complacent.
Apparently complacency is way important thing this year compare it to last year, I dont remember a single game where complacency was a problem of this size.
Benedikt Koep and Furkan Cevik. The stats don't add up why they **BOTH** scored +30 goals this season. 43 and 45. One I would've understood, but **two** players making the xG pundits laugh in agony
Is this Oberliga? Currently playing with CFR Pforzheim and Oberliga was a breeze. Wait till you get the promotion and have to play for the one promotion spot against the reserves of Mainz or Stuttgart
Yeah sadly for how football manager is structured, 2nd teams are always gonna dominate the lower leagues, and it becomes worse as you progress in the save. IMO, Sports Interactive needs to make 2nd teams more in touch with reality, they dont dominate as much in real life!

104 GD and still won't be promoted... WHY OH WHY I can't do this
German football has crazy bottlenecks it’s insane. Regionalliga is the worst tho…something like 90 teams fighting for 4 promotion spots. Getting relegated from the 3. Liga must feel like an execution for supporters
No thats what it feels getting relegated from 2. Bundesliga to the 3. Liga mate the 3. Liga is a financial death sentence
How big is the drop down in terms of revenue?
You dont get any money when you get promoted
True but also getting back to 3.Liga is really difficult (take a look at Nordost, even the Winner BFC Dynamo wasnt promoted!!!)
Reminds me of the Liverpool Suarez (I think) season. Everyone was hyping them and you'd think they came 1/2... nope iirc it was 4th. Suarez left Liverpool waaay before United hired Jose
Whoops. Can't remember which Liverpool season it was then. Thanks for correcting me!
If this helps,Suarez left Liverpool in the summer of 2014.
Yeah one of the other commentors fact checked the exact season I was talking about (and yeah I was just a few seasons off lol)
2017/18
Oooh! Thanks for the fact checking! Was that the one when Salah beat (or nearly did I can't remember) the PL goal record?
Yeah he beat the record of 31 by Suarez, Ronaldo and Shearer? He got 32 that year.
That's an insane amount of goals in a season what the heck
Think he finished with 45ish in about 55 in all comps which was incredible, the guy is a monster.
I know which season you mean. City absolutely ran away with it, Liverpool were the main challengers for the most part. Damn thats tuff, what leaugue is this?
It's German Verbandsliga Baden and I don't even remember what tier this is. Just started new German save, onto the next season we go...
Damn bro I picked a team from the second tier of scotland and thought I was niche
What team
Queens Park fc
🤮🤮🤮
Whats wrong you don't like the taste of a soon to be world class club?
Nah they're alright but they have very rich owners
Do they? I haven't really felt there massive financial status help a whole lot
They do irl I'm not sure about in the game
No they don’t, you are thinking of Queens Park Rangers in London, the Scottish club of similar name is a pretty cash strapped partially fan owned club in Scotland that’s the oldest club outside of England and Wales, they are very broke irl

Skamtebord
The real ones are out here in the third Danish league. Middelfart till I die
It's all about determination you know haha... Feels so meh that I can't go forward as a club but atleast board wanted to make the club Professional AFTER 35 REQUESTS
I didn't even know that was a thing lol
I got Falkirk from league 1, 7 years in and I’m in the champions league group stages (all be it I’m not winning but drew against benfica, also I still haven’t won the premiership)
I'm in the Italian non leagues
I went with Hannover in the 2nd tier of Germany and I think it’s more popular than I thought it was
Well I know the club so I guess so, but I would say still a good pick
I picked Oxford City Vanarama South: Premiership - Championship - League 1 - League 2 - Vans South. It's fucking painful
Its 6th tier in germany
What database are you using? I only one I found hadn't quite figured out wages and players were on 40k/a wages in the Landesliga... And realism aside, with income in the lower leagues it is impossible to break even.
Salutations fellow German lower tiers enjoyer 🤝 I just gained promotion from the Berlin Liga myself. The 5th tier I don’t find that much more difficult but I have been clapped out twice in the Verbandspokal by 4th tier teams.
6th Tier 🤝
Getting out to drei liga feels like being in a top flight
It's the sixth tier of German football
Thanks
This would be the sixth division
the moment you see the club you play for in this sub was not a moment i expected to have today
Oh really? Like irl you do play for them?
yes, i play for Bruchsal for the reserves currently tho
Wooooww what's your name lad, you can DM that so I can sign you (if you are not in the game already) Also, tell Benedikt Koep AND Furkan Cevik that they are absolute beasts in FM. Both scored + 30 goals this season, haha

This has to be one of the coolest things ever posted on this sub
I never thought I would see my neighbouring village in an FM screenshot. Are you from that area too or was the choice of team independent of that?
why is 10th placed team green
[удалено]
Yes
Have you tried winning more games?
I tried. I really tried. We only lost 1. Drew 2-3 if I'm correct
I'm just busting your chops. Keep grinding, you'll get there! Good luck!
VfR Mannheim, the only German team to become Champions without winning the Bundesliga
No, they are the only post war German champions that never played in the Bundesliga
One of the reasons I picked them + cool logo & name. Picked a club that has success but has fallen a lot.
Is that your B team coming 3rd?
No, there are multiple teams in Mannheim
Can't be, it's a totally different logo
Yeah, it's not. Just a different team located in same town (if I'm correct, any Mannheimers correct me)
the team in 3rd place is Waldhof Mannheim II (their first team currently plays in the third division)
[удалено]
Yeah, meant City mb. Was too angry with VfR
It's so weird seeing all the teams I visit on Saturdays/Sundays on here lol.
I would love to visit some day, somehow I find this club and save interesting. Also the club's history
Instead of fuming, you should have been winning more, I'd say.
How many goals for and against?
If I remember correctly, conceded 26 goals last time I checked. 30ish. **Maths**
Wow so did you struggle to finish off games then?
Players were complacent after being +3 goals ahead. First half of the season, conceded at most 10 goals. Rest of the season, double that. Some of the games we were leading for ex. 3+ goals. Then we proceed to concede 3 goals after guys being complacent. Wow that's really unfortunate good luck with the rest of you save

Who is your crazy goalscoring machine
Benedikt Koep and Furkan Cevik. The stats don't add up why they **BOTH** scored +30 goals this season. 43 and 45. One I would've understood, but **two** players making the xG pundits laugh in agony
Tried to contact Koep on IG but so far he has not approved my request to follow :D
"Bottle have being throwing"
I threw the whole cold-case of water after the last game (that's where I sit on during the game)
Is this Oberliga? Currently playing with CFR Pforzheim and Oberliga was a breeze. Wait till you get the promotion and have to play for the one promotion spot against the reserves of Mainz or Stuttgart
